Thinking back, Every time I've seen one in uniform, or all the concerts I go to in Jacksonville (it gets worse there cuz I'm drunk and do the "I love you man, thanks for your service"), I've always said thank you. Have been a full time student for almost 5 years and still counting, and in the meantime I have been working for Food Lion in the meat department but just quit that last summer (I'm gonna miss the cheap/free meat I was allowed (yes allowed) to take) and Food Lion was my part time job. My full time job is (and has been since HS graduation) a full time Pharmacy Technician. Started at Eckerds when I was 16, then when I graduated HS, I went to the hospital. It's so funny though. Retail pharmacists make BIG bucks and hospital pharmacists make next to shit...and retail techs make next to shit and hospital techs make BIG bucks for a non-degree job. I get paid to edit Video's at my home DZ and am getting my coach rating this month. Since I work 3rd shift I work 7 days on and 7 days off...so on my week off I set up private networks for co-workers and others that have heard by word of mouth. I also do computer repair and build computers. I've now got a damned waiting list and I wish I didn't take so many, I just wanna tell them all to go fuck off so I can just jump!!! ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!

Thanks guys(gals, w/e). I knew the medical stuff, but only from dealing with it at work. I make chemo for the patients, and I've seen what happens to the families...and I hate it. It's just my mother and I, and I just didn't expect it. We do have a history of Booby cancer on the women's side, so we'll see. Tried to last as long as possible without posting this...but I just picked mom up from the hospital...she's 51, I'm 23 and it's always been just the two of us (no I don't live w/ her, just growing up has been us). Problem, scarriest thing I've dealt with...she's been dx w/ Breast cancer and already had one lump removed. Sure I can go on the support sites, but I want my dot commers, those w/ experience to tell me what's up. What am I to expect, hows the best way to deal w/ this stuff? Though I'm barking up a huge tree, I moderately agree. Shit happens and sometimes people need that little boost of help, but you always get the preceding comments from the people who get to see the abuse of the system.
