Precisely my point. I CAN see the "M$ is a more tediously kept" system, but big deal. That's it's drawback, as every other OS has them. Ok, instead of changing things b/c your comp may or may not run what everyone has...the best bet is the Add/Remove programs thing...and when you install other applications MAKE SURE TO READ THE INSTALLER AND DE-SELECT THE "Install *such and such* toolbar" box. Everyone get's their 2 cents, and here's mine...(IT prof, lol) Grew up and trained on PC's, personal investigation and training on Mac's and Linux(es)...ALL ARE GREAT FOR DIFFERENT REASONS... It's just seeming that M$ is trying to make it more user friendly but turning out that (please don't flame me for this) the more up to par w/ technology you are, the easier it is...but for the people that don't give a shit, or enjoy intuitive ideas, Linux(es) and Macs are where it's at. My home built Vista machine has NEVER given me problems, but then again I keep up on all my shit, and haven't really had to mess too much with my own patches...however, I've crossdriven(not a real word, but what I call it) so I can boot up Ubuntu...and I love that too...the only thing I don't use as much of...but do not look down on is Macs...but still I understand Vista has it's problems, but for me it's been nothing less than perfect for what I use it for and can fix IF NEEDED. I know a very small few other dot commers on here that feel similarly in my viewing...as I've seen them post the same things.... I am glad someone else put Sixx A.M. up here.
