  1. There is going to be a speedride competitin in Chamonix France April 19-20 http://www.existance.fr/sites/speedriding/video.html
  2. Here is a link to a video from another thread. it is of full stalls. I think it would be hard to get stuck in a canopy that is doing this. Just click on the picture for the video: http://pulsevisuals.com/video/details/stallram-air.html
  3. I am in Truckee for a month. I am from sweden and I need a resurve repack before I can jump. Is there anyone who can help me? Thanks for any help I want to jump.
  4. Counld I get some feed back. I am looking for a new canopy. I was thinking the safire 2 129. I will not be changing for another 100 jumps or so. I have talked to lots on this but everyone at my dz and near are pd fans so don't have much info on Icaris. What or how much differnt would the crossfire 2 be. Wing laoding 1.27
  5. I have thought about that. I have been jumping a system I am looking for for the past 15 jumps. The one we have at my dz was made by a rigger that is no longer working in the sport and the dzo won't sell it to me. After jumping the system I feel it quite safe. the container is closed very well and I don't do anything with the flag till I am sure I have a good flying canopy then pull the flag and attach. If after opening I don't feel good about it (wind, bad spot, ect) I just don't open the container and mess with the flag. I have on 2 jumps taken it off in the plane when plans changed and we scraped the low h&p pass. I do not feel good with a full freefall with the bag on my leg. I will look into some of the other systems sugested and talk to my dzo about the rules on the here. Thanks all fot he info.
  6. Has anyone actualy compaired these to devises to see which one worked better. The only reply from anyone who jumped both was a jumper who has 40+ jumps no ofense but thats just not enough jumps to really compair the two. for say one on wrist other on helmet to see if they get the same readings. over many jumps.
  7. We do lots of H&P at my DZ we exit at 1000m 3200ft. It is great if the plane is full they will still let me on if I get out at 1000m If the pilot gives me a bit more I can get a good sit in for a few seconds before pitching. 2 ways are also a blast from 1000m. On an h&p from 1000m you would have to give a crazy long delay to get a cypris fire. I beleve the cyprics fires at 275m if you go that low your out of your mind or just want to get down to make the back to back
  8. Dose anyone know who sells leg mount containers for flags and banners? I am in Sweden and can not fund one here but will be in Deland in October. I am looking for one that holds the bottom of the flag to the foot and conect the top of the flag to the rig. We can not use a cutaway system for flags in Sweden.
  9. THat is a good point. I think that just sold me.
  10. I should have added that. I am going to Florida to do quite a bit of FF jumps whith a coach. as well as a canopy course. As I have been told it is a good idea to have the same visual as well as audable. So I would probibly get one for both. So I am looking for a devise that will give me accurat visual readings as well as the audable tones for canopy and freefall. Mostely for me both the neptune and Viso have the functins I would like but what one is more reliable. The reviews for the neptune are not that good for reliability of its readings and the batter dose not sound like it lastes. But as most reviews go people are biast to what they have. And I do not plan to get wet any time soon I stay away from the ponds.
  11. Yes I have used the forum surch. All the posts compairing the two products are from when the viso was not released or just after. Now that it has been around a bit I wanted to get some feedback on the two. All the reviews for the Neptune say it is not reliable and the battery goes dead. Some help on this would be great. So in short which one have people found to have less malfunctions. more acurat readings better battery life or which one have people found to be just a better built devise.
  12. I have been looking at other posts and surched for info. but alot of the posts are quite old so not to much help. I am planning on doing a first flight soon and wanted to look into suits to get more knowlege of them before I meet up with an instructor. What would be good suits for a first flight as well as a first suit. There are lots of suits and companies. This is not a post to find the best as that never works here. Everyone has an opinion of there own. I just would like some suiets to read up on and resurch for myself but as there are so many I did not know where to start. Also there are no wingsuits at my dz and nobody to talk to so I will be going to Florida. Thanks
  13. THanks that was what I was looking for. I did not know that you could just disconect it. I thought it was all packed into the resurve.
  14. Thanks for clearing that up. I am still concerned about if you have to cut away once on the ground do to wind or a landing on a building.
  15. Ok one more question. WHat happens on a full container lock and you cut then pull resurve but your main pin is still closed. will the skyhook still hold onto the main
  16. I have read most of these posts but still have a question about the skyhook. How dose it work if you think you might need to cut away your main on landing. Im not saying if I but what if you were landing in strong wind or water or othere situations where you would disconect your rsl after opening in preperation for a cutaway on the ground.
  17. If you want a helmet that will keep your brain in tacked go with a ski helmet. They are made to take impact with hard snow and trees. You will not be as cool as the other guys but your head will thank you if it gets hit.
  18. I see where your coming from on the jump numbers. When I had that many jumps which was not more than 10 months ago I asked the same questions and got most of the same answers. I was told go ahead and try to get on your back. It is quite the same as the last few AFF jumps where you get un stable then corect and fly your belly. To tell someone not to try to fly on thier back till they have 100 jumps which was the post I was replying to might not be a good idea either. What happens at 50 jumps and they have never gone on thier back and don't know what to do then somthing goes really wrong and they end up in a spin on the back and panic? I do get where your coming from though free flying can get you in some shit if you do not know how to get out of it but a short back flight might help to know incase a belly dive goes bad.
  19. You will get alot of postes on your questin that will say don't do this till x number of jumps or you are to new to start this have more jumps. It is all for your saftey but I think it is a shit answer. Just give it a shot a half role and your on your back or a half front loop and your there. Just try it on the first 10 sec of your jump so you have plenty of time to recover and get stable again. If you don't try you will never learn. I will probibly get flamed for this advice but that is how this forum works. Good luck and you will get used to the answers on this site.
  20. Our dz here in sweden has one and it is our only plane. I like it because you get plenty of time for shit talking on the way up. The tandems also get lots of time to think "Is this a good idea" It is also fun to wind it up in the morning and blow smoke all over. The students faces are priceless
  21. I do get where your coming from but if you just keep your photos to yourself they can never get out and make money for you. If you have a photo in a setting where people will see it and maybe want to buy it you can sell it? If you have your copyrights and contact info on the photo they can not be published without you getting paied. Have a look at the attached photo to see how I do it with my photographer. Other than that everyone will do as they wish and some will get there photos published and seen more than others.
