oo so not true, i have seen CARNAGE caused by bikes and Drew WTF, yo do know that bikes come with a SEAT, you dont have to stand the whole time, rest your legs and sit on the seat I have been riding for 30 years and my legs have never gotten tired, shoulders Yep, Arse YEP, but never the legs. Do you ride legs splayed out? lmao, I was thinking the same thing. The worst ones are when your balls get trapped between you and the seat and you can't shift them....or is that just me -

Exactly Anyway as I say all the time, a motorbike can get you out of alot of hairy situations, but it also puts you in alot of hairy situations. @Aggiedave I could ride normally, but where would the fun be? I might as well go in a car Saying that my wallet would be alot happier -

lol, it was the bikes fault, it's got a mind of its own. All I do is sit on it and let it take me where it wants to go -

I passed my motorbike test about January last year, that means I have 6 points to last me for 2 years. December last year I got flashed by a speed camera, I thought bollocks 3 points and a £60 fine not to mention the insurance increase. Fortunately they gave me the option to do a speed awareness course for £60 ( which is on 3rd March). Today I was stuck behind 2 cars going really slow, I thought fuck this and started to over take the cars. As I passed the first one, and got level with the second one, I noticed a van parked up level with me, on the other side of the road with a nice camera logo on it's side. The brief moment of satisfaction, turned into a very long "bollocks" feeling. I have to wait about 2 weeks to find out if I got caught or if I got away with it Oh why do motorbikes have to have so much acceleration -
I had to road register my bike, as it was a race only bike never been on the road when I took it too the MOT station, it had a front and rear light and a brake light operated by the front and rear brake and that was it. No speedometer, no indicators, no stand, and it still passed. If you read the rules and trust me I was feed up of reading them, then you will see you don't need them to pass the MOT. On the other hand, if you want to get it road registered as an enduro the seat has to be above a certain height and above a certain ground clearance

I had my first mal on my 13th Jump, with a 280 balance I pulled the ripcord the main came out, but was bowed in the middle and the slider was right at the top. I flared about 5-6 times trying to bring the slider down, but it just wouldn't come down. I flared a final time and I ended up getting line twists. I started trying to kick these out, then all of a sudden the canopy started spinning. At this point I thought fuck this, I pulled the cutaway, threw it ( I didn't want anything in my hands while trying to pull the reserve handle), even though during your training you get to sit in a harness and pull the cutaway to "experience" the drop, it is nothing compared to the real thing, it felt so weird. Next thing I know I grabbed my reserve handle and ripped that fucker out without even thinking about it (again this just goes to show training this procedure is VERY important). The time between my pulling my reserve handle and being under a canopy has never felt so long. I thought the reserve would never come out. I must admit though I have never had such a rush in my life, once I landed the canopy I was so hyper from the adrenaline, I had a huge grin n my face for hours

Road legal? where is your light? removed for racing? My son is also into Duel sport, (we were at a club meeting just last night) His DR 650.. Lotta bike for a 15 yearold kid...(Ca. you can ride a motorcycle on the street at 15 1/2...) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v400/onekick/field/100_0323.jpg Technically you don't need a light or indicators on a bike for it to be road legal in the UK, you just can't ride at night with the bike. In this case, I have taken the lights off (no indicators fitted) for the track day ( I have an acerbis Cyclopes fitted). As for your son, very cool, I would have loved to have gotten into bikes at an early age. I have only been riding for a year and a bit. In the UK you can ride a bike at 17 it just has to be restricted to 33bhp, or if you are 21 you can do a direct access course and ride any size bike once you have passed the test (That’s what I did).

Here is my bike, this was taken at a track day and it's road legal http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr150/R-Boris/mejumping.jpg

Booo where is the KTM 450SMR? In my opinion the best first bike you can buy, well at least get a supermoto. The handling on them will beat any sports/tourer/cruiser bike etc. They are built like a brick shit house, If you come off very cheap to repair, most often then not you don't even have to repair anything. Acceleration is amazing, top speed is around 90mph so not fast. They are also very light about 105Kg dry weight, and because of this I have gotten out of very scary situations where as other bikes would have gotten me at least injured if not killed. Oh yes lets not forget the noise. As quoted by a sportsbike rider, "we could hear you coming a mile away, it was like rolling thunder" Only downside is oil change every 500 miles, oil filters every second oil change, and valves around 1500 miles

Ahh cool, I didnt know either of those details, thanks.

Does anybody have the packing volume for a Triathlon 190 with zpx material? I am looking for a 7 cell canopy with a packing volume of 417 cubic inches or less. If not I will go for the x-fun.
-
Thanks guys. I have a question though, why does the 9 cell x-fun have a much smaller packing volume then the 7 cell canopies? I always thought 7 cells have a smaller packing volume?
-
Does anybody have the packing volumes for the following reserves and mains? Thanks X-fast 170 Speed 2000 170 Optimum 176 Spectre 190 Dragon 190 x-fun 190

This is where I become smug, you see no matter how much I drink or what I drink I never get a hangover. Although I am a major light weight. 2* 1 pint bottle Magners in a short time and I'm drunk, 6* 1 Pint Bottle magners in a short time and I am passed out.

Any Skydiving Christmas Presents??
Boris73 replied to scholarkyle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would look up the Atom Legend R history to get an understanding of why the delivery time is so long. No one doubts that the Atom Legend R is one of, if not the best container on the market. It's just their custom service that lets them down, and that's why they get bad reviews. -

Fuckers, just because I shagged Mrs Santa The Atom Legend R is an Awesome rig, and I am giving them a chance. Less people buying an Atom, the more chance they have of going under so I am supporting my European counter parts I reckon I will have it in 4 months time, I will keep you posted. If I do more people should start buying them -

Oakley Jawbone Prescription Sunglasses
Boris73 replied to Boris73's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am getting back into skydiving after being out for a while and I am considering getting some prescription sunglasses. When I used to jump, sometimes it was difficult to see which direction the windsock was pointing ( I did make a flight plan before I got on the plane, but sometimes the wind direction does change). Now to get around this I am thinking of getting some Oakley Jawbone Prescription Sunglasses with vented lenses, are these any good? What do people normally wear when they require prescription lenses? Thanks -
Not mine but this is the best skydiving video I have watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HAOvRZTRpc

okay, thanks for that.
