This is exactly why I did not repost the video on facebook myself. Yes, I sent it PRIVATELY to a few friends, but this is not the publicity we need! This video should have been kept to the forums. If you have a friend not on the forums who you feel is irresponsible enough that they HAVE to see this in order to hopefully scare them straight then you should have sent it to them privately. Now, thanks to one careless TI and DZ our sport is going to get a HUGE blackeye and tandems will be canceling left and right. And even if you don't jump at a tandem factory, you have to admit, tandems are what pay the bills, not fun jumpers at $25 a pop. (This is not directed at you wildcard51...but the 500 other idiots who felt it necessary to share this EXTREME fuck up publicly where millions of people who don't understand just how rare something like this is will see it and exploit it and put every wrong twist on it possible.)

Who/what the hell is Bevil and But head? I had a Puerto Rican friend flying from Vegas to Atlanta for the Halloween boogie at the Farm last year. His rig was confiscated, they had handcuffed him, and he was starting to get escorted out when a higher up TSA guy walked by, looked down and said, "Nice Infinity". Well, he's flying back to the Farm for another boogie this weekend, I'll be curious to see how it goes.

I won't personally have a vehicle there...but I'm sure we'll be able to find someone to get you.

As someone pointed out to me, he technically didn't skydive.... A skydive is defined as "the descent of a person to the surface from an aircraft in flight when he or she uses or intends to use a parachuting during all or part of that descent." He just jumped out of a helicopter and lived.

So today I went WAY out of my comfort zone and basically asked to move to the other department in my company, which is basically asking for a small promotion. Typically, I just sit back, work my ass off, and HOPE they'll offer me a better position. But today I decided to be pro-active about it. And as of right now it looks like it might pay off. The VP of the company is very excited that I'm eager to learn/do more in the company. The supervisor in the other department is excited about the idea of having me. My current supervisor, although she's not going to deter me from leaving, is obviously not to pleased to lose me (which I take as a HUGE compliment). My current supervisor has said in the past that if I ever left she would have to hire 2 people to do my work. Well, a little while ago, a guy in my department started asking me specifics about the state that I cover and what all is involved in it. (It's the most complicated state that we have.) He told me that they gave him 2 days to decide whether or not he wants to do it. Now, although I have not heard anything definitive from the higher ups, I'm taking this as a very good sign that I'm going to get the new position. So fingers crossed for me that stepping out of my comfort zone is going to pay off. I've put off asking for the promotion for a year now due to fear of failure at the new position, and fear of rejection of them not giving it to me. I'm both excited and nervous about this all working out and all the changes that will come with it. Hopefully they don't leave me hanging too long without a definitive answer.
