It wouldn't be a boogie without Gonzo making an appearance.

As Hans put it, "The landing area is getting dryer with every load." I'm sure by the end of the day all of the water that had been in the landing area made it into the hanger.
-
:1:0 You just need to learn WHERE to land when it's like that. I found a perfectly dry patch to land on. It probably also helps that I grew up water skiing so what water I did skid across didn't phase me at all.

Step away from the drugs. I think you're hallucinating to whole Tinker Bell thing.

Thanks for having us and putting up with us. That's great!!! I'm so glad they were able to do that.

HOLY SH$%(*$(&!!!! Those girls are incredible.

Only those who come to the Farm will find out. Everyone else will have to wait and see if pics get leaked onto here or Facebook.

I'll be there either Thursday night or Friday morning. I'm down to go so long as I'm not missin' out on night jumps (I haven't heard a yea or nay on that yet) and so long as Bolas isn't there in a skirt. That shit gives me nightmares! Well obviously if there are night jumps those are first priority. I don't think you have to worry to much about Bolas running around in a skirt. Last I heard he was going to Hog Flop.

I'm going to be out there Friday. I haven't been to a haunted house in a few years and would really like to go to one. Is there anyone else who will be there Friday who would be interested in going?

I never understood putting syrup in the fridge. My roommates in college did that. You have to wait for 5 minutes with the bottle turned upside down before it finally starts to come out. It's thick enough when room temperature. When it's cold it flows like molasses.

Happy Birthday Brandy!!! Miss you!!!

You want a flesh wound? I'll show you a flesh wound the next time I see you.

The cat bit my arm. Those are small tooth holes in my elbow. There is a lot of bacteria in a cat's mouth. I've gotten scratched plenty of times too with no problem. But I'm sure this is some kind of bacterial infection in my arm.

These pictures are actually from last night. The swelling and redness has gotten slightly worse since then. But the Dr. changed the antibiotics I was on (since they obviously weren't working) so we'll see how those work.
-
Thanks. Yeah both the Dr. I saw yesterday, and the one I saw today warned me of what could happen. The one today said that he usually has to send someone to surgery for a cat bit about every 6 weeks. My big concern is that the 2 bags of antibiotics they gave me via IV yesterday didn't have the slightest bit of affect on it. So they switched the ones I'm on while at home.

I think it's because day light savings time is a little late this year (or at least it feels like it). I know when I got to work this morning, the time clock was an hour early. And in my half asleep state, I had a moment of panic thinking I was an hour early and could have slept another hour.

Well as I stated earlier there is a lot going on that tends to frighten the cats (and dogs for that matter). They can smell all of the other dogs and cats that have been through there. I think this is a large part. My dog, who I've had for 13 years, is the sweetest thing ever. However, after I get home from work she won't come near me until I take a shower. Also, they don't know us as well as they know you. On that note, when they do come to the vets office they typically get shots if nothing else. So they associate the vet with pain. Most of the time, if an animal acts out at a vets office it's out of pure fear. This is why I never blame the animal if they freak out like that. And I know how to handle cats. In the 3 months I've worked there, I've probably handled a couple hundred cats without incident. Yes, I've gotten scratched before. But that was usually when the Dr. was doing something unpleasant to them (do you know how a vet takes and animal's temperature or gets a stool sample if you don't bring one in?) Shit happens, I realize that getting scratched and bit is a hazard of my job. I apologize if I got a little long winded or got of track on what I was trying to say. I think my pain meds just kicked in. But I'm sure you can at least somewhat figure out what it is I'm trying to say.

The pain meds should be kicking in soon (couldn't take them this morning since I had to drive a considerable distance). Once they do I'll be doing much better.

You and Drew have absolutely adorable kitteh's.

I knew exactly where that was going the moment he started to let the cat run between his legs. My saga continues. Woke up this morning and it was nearly impossible to move my arm at all. After many tears and obscenities screamed at the top of my lungs, I managed to stretch enough to be able to move it some. I went to work for a whole 2 1/2 hours this morning. Fortunately on Sunday's we don't do much besides take them all outside, clean their pens and feed them. Unfortunately, it was 2 1/2 hours of pure agony. Despite doing only 1/10 of what I normally do on a Sunday morning, it still hurt like hell. Went back to the Dr. afterward for a followup. He took one look at my arm and noticed instantly that the swelling had gotten worse. I told him about not really being able to move it much without screaming. He changed my antibiotics (because they're obviously not working) and gave me a note saying I can't go to work tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm really not looking forward to calling them in the morning and telling them I'm not coming in. I was already getting shit today for being a baby. Yes it's noticeably swollen, red, and warm to the touch. But in their minds, if my arm isn't actively falling off then I just need to suck it up.

Like I said, I never blame the cat (or dog if that's the case).

I don't know. Did have a chance to check before he latched onto me.

Just the way the vaccines are made I guess. They have to get boosted every year.

At what point do you stop thinking of it as "home"?
iluvtofly replied to Nataly's topic in The Bonfire
I live in NW Pennsylvania for 20 years. I just moved to the Atlanta area this past March. However, I consider Atlanta to be my home. I feel more comfortable here. And I have never felt like I fit in more than I have since I moved here.
