  1. Now THERE'S a professor with the right priorities!!! Sweet. Do you put that in your course description? "Class may be canceled due to unexpected bouts of skydiving and ideal jumping conditions. Make-up sessions will be held at the dropzone following the last load. Beer will be the responsibility of the student." TPM Sister #102
  2. Okay, Ralffers, you know I love ya but I have to admit--I thought it was interesting that your reading was newsworthy, too! It's just your subject line that makes it sound like you're announcing an achievement! As for the economy . . . my work is in real estate. Ouch. TPM Sister #102
  3. I'm not sure I know what you mean by "higher places." Do you mean economic advancement/stimulus, social and cultural development . . . or something else? TPM Sister #102
  4. I think 15 is pretty young for those kinds of photos. It's not simply that her back is exposed, it's the overall feeling of the photo. It's a sexy shot and a provocative look. Put her age in a little perspective: She's not even old enough to have her own driver's license (maybe a learner's permit). There will be plenty of people who see nothing wrong with it, but I think it's really pushing it for a 15 year old. Just because other cultures may treat these things differently doesn't mean they're right for OUR culture. If I had a 15 year old daughter, there's no way I'd want her posing for those kinds of photos. Even with very mentally-mature-for-their-age girls, there's still a lot of little girl left in most 15 year olds. Teenagers may come across as all grown up one moment and then say or do somthing in the next moment that makes you realize how young they really are. Selling this image at this age is pushing the envelope for her, personally, and is sending a message to other girls who look up to her--including girls who may very well be younger than she is by a year or two or more. 5. I'm a spearmint. . . . Who else voted that way? Edited to add: Unfortunately, my choice of spearmint and the accompanying description throws the whole analysis into question. What's the flavor for "a little odd but mostly harmless?" TPM Sister #102
  6. That's probably true. I'm just not one of those people. I'm not saying I respect all of his tactics or that I'll be a big Avery fan, but that doesn't mean I feel that he had it coming. TPM Sister #102
  7. I'm a big Pens fan and have to say that I am enjoying the series so far, but that doesn't mean that I'm glad to see Avery in this situation. I hope he heals quickly (just in time for a nice round of golf)! TPM Sister #102

Congrats--to BOTH of you! I'm glad it's all working out, even if it comes at a price. I'm happy for his very happy ending! TPM Sister #102
  9. Has he already been trained? I understand this breed has a lot of energy and needs to be kept well-trained and occupied. Dogs are GREAT! I'm sure you'll be good for each other.
  10. I love Barcelona! It's just so . . . Gaudi! Have fun and take lots of pics to post, whether they're touristy or skydiving.
  11. Fixed it for you. Happy Happy Paige!! Okay, Sartre's way is a lot more fun! TPM Sister #102
  12. Have a wonderful birthday! Do something decadent.
  13. Detroit is amazing, but I don't want the Sharks to have to play them in round 3. Thus.... Go Avs! Avs are gonna have to go a little harder. Our regular season record against the Dead Things isn't so spectacular this year. (That's the diplomatic way of saying we can't PAY for a win.) At least last night's score was reasonably close. TPM Sister #102
  14. Good luck, guys! I know it'll go well. Isn't filming today? TPM Sister #102
  15. Happy Birthday! I hope you do something special to celebrate. TPM Sister #102
  16. Happy Birthday! I hope it's WONDERFUL! TPM Sister #102
  17. It's one way to avoid the door fear issue, I guess. TPM Sister #102
  18. Have a wonderful day! Happy, happy birthday! TPM Sister #102
  19. Same here--door to door stuff seems to prevail. I've used people for lawn mowing based on a flyer before and probably would again, especially if the price is right. $10, however, DOES sound too cheap. I'd expect it to cost at least $25 and would still consider that a good deal. What about grocery store bulletin boards? Maybe even somewhere like Home Depot, where they also have bulletin boards. 20. Oh, GAIL! I'm glad it wasn't any worse, although I'm sure the pain of the last year is horrendous enough. Be careful out there! TPM Sister #102
  21. My suit from Ouragan wasn't inexpensive, but then, the quality shows. Kefran did an outstanding job for me and the attention to detail on the suit is terrific. I haven't purchased suits from other companies but I would buy from Ouragan again because my suit has been great. I've had lots of compliments on it but the best part is that it fits beautifully and it flies well. Other companies certainly might be able to meet that criteria, too, but I have no reason to look elsewhere when Ouragan has a proven track record with me. By the way, the zipper they used has been great. I have no idea what kind it is but I really love it and it stays put without a hassle. I was a little worried about not having velcro over it and that hasn't been a problem. If anyone has any idea what kind of zipper this is, I'd be curious to know. TPM Sister #102
  22. I'm not sure whether I can fly the weekend that you'll be through Colorado, but I'd suggest calling the tunnel to book time now if you haven't done so already. I believe Team Future may be doing a camp that weekend and may have time blocked out that you'd have to work around. I would think that there should still be some availability this far in advance, but I wouldn't wait too long to get on the calendar. Glad to have you come to Colorado! I know you'll have a great time here! We have a great group of instructors.
  23. Put that behind you! I just love your subject line! CONGRATULATIONS!
