Deleted and edited: It will only work if the spammer has a really stupid email server, and then it will clog the 'postmaster' users email, which probably isn't the spammer's email.

Some people at Archway Skydiving jumped one a while back. I don't have any experience with a ball, but they said that it moved around a lot and was hard to catch. That is all hearsay, though. If you want to PM me, I might be able to put you in contact with somebody who was on the load.

A space elevator is one of those things that are technically doable, but I don't plan on seeing one within my lifetime.

If it hadn't self-destructed recently, everybody could just ask the robotic 8-ball webcam.

It's 100% personal opinion. I use fluxbox. It doesn't have all of the features of KDE or GNOME, but after spending a little bit of time getting it set up I can work far more efficiently with it.

I think this story is really very fair to skydivers and is hardly the type of "Typical News Reporting" seen in many articles about skydiving incidents. There was zero speculation on behalf of the reporter; in fact, all of the information came from PIA and most of it was direct quotes. I certainly don't fault the paper for printing the "quote of the day," but I do think that Mr. Pine could have phrased it much better. I might at that it is also quite refreshing hear a skydiver with 170 jumps referred to as a "novice" by the media.

Actually, there'd be a person shaped who-know-what. If the light can't move, it can't travel to your eye, so you couldn't see it. Other light could bounce off of that, and you could see that, maybe. One of the jumpers at U of I is a condensed matter physics post-doc. I'll have to ask him what the hell it means.

Sun Path also offers the clear reserve flap on military gear, and you can probably ask for it on sport rigs. CRW jumpers are notoriously careful about their gear, so if a team was buying rigs it would make sense to get that feature. Hell, a clear reserve flap would make sense for anybody, but they don't look cool so nobody will buy them.

Select the window, hit ALT+PrintScreen. Open Paint, Edit->Paste. Then save.

I'm an organ donor and my relatives know it, so that's first. Then I want to be cremated. Not really sure what I want done with my ashes. If I haven't decided by the time I die, I'm sure my family will think up something cool. Edit to add: Whatever happens, I really don't want my family to spend a whole bunch of money on a nice suit and a fancy box just to put me where nobody will ever see me again.

He'd have to be about 1' tall to fit into it, so I'm gonna guess "no."

Hi, Kevin . It's Barbie! I just had to call you. I heard you graduated from kindergarten! Wow! That's fantastic! You're growing up so fast, I just can't believe it. You're just 27 years old, and you already graduated from kindergarten! I'm so proud of you. I bet your Family and friends must be super proud of you, too. (name from above) , you're an inspiration to me and to everyone around you. You're a big girl now! Keep up the great work. Oh yeah. This has possibilities.

This isn't really a surprising move. Linux and other open source software and operating systems have been gaining popularity with governments because, among other things, it is possible to examine the source. I see this as Microsoft's attempt to counter that.
-
Microsoft has the source to a ramdrive driver available somewhere on their site. It is extremely alpha and for educational purposes only. That hasn't stopped people from compiling and distributing it, though.

They don't scream, it's just air boiling out. I've thrown a half dozen live lobsters into boiling water over the years, and I've never heard a scream.

I didn't think there were any 9-cell reserves, but apparently the Falcon was certified to TSO-C23c in 1988.

How can I copy a Windows Video Clip to my Mini-DV player?
indyz replied to Deuce's topic in Photography and Video
It is possible to convert QT to DV streams. So if you can get your WMV video to QT format, you're good. I think. There might be something useful buried here -
Here. He's on the right, I think.

Do you have dates of manufacture, the age of cypres and it's maintainence record, and the number of jumps on the main? Edit to add: Also, harness options make some difference. Rings, chrome, etc.

In the 182 that I usually jump from, the belts are all attached at the edge of the padding. On jump run, the belts are shoved under the padding to prevent snags. If that isn't possible in your plane, cut holes in the padding.

He got a new job that doesn't involve sitting in front of a computer. As for HH, I think he is in Africa.

It's all about practice, man. I have my box set up for triple boot just fine. Look into software called GRUB. Also, some distributions are better about being installed in a dual boot situation. Other random advice: Install Windows first, on the first logical partition. It's the easiest way (although the power of grub makes just about anything possible).

Why wouldn't anybody pack it? That $40 every 90 days. Cha-ching.
