Hi and welcome to the world, It is going to be hard to imagine what you did before you started skydiving before long. Still here after all these years Clayton

I had one on my first rig, But do not have one on either of the 2 rigs I own now, I have had 4 cutaways and have lived through them all without one so why change now, But I will admit that the last cutaway that I had got pretty scary, I had a hard time getting my cut away handle to release, It took me 3 tries, I finaly got it out at about 1200 feet. and believe me it was not long after that that my reserve was flying. But it did make me think. I had bought a new rig and the pillow was thinner than the one on my Mirage, It was harder to grip, Since then I have replaced that pillow with a thicker one. When did you go to an elliptical canopy?
skydiven4fun replied to superstu's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My first canopy was a sabre 190, put a little over a 100 on it then went to a F.C.170 pro series, kept it for about 70 jumps, It was crap, Then I bought a Diablo 170, put around 400 on it, Then a a Diablo 150, Put about 300 or so on it, Then I bought The Xaos 120. I have somwhere over a 100 or more on it. It is definitly the SH....T. I hardly ever jump My 150 anymore ( Way TOOOO Slow ). Still here after all these years Clayton -

Does anyone know when and where there will be any skills camps going on in the near future. I am interested in attending one to try and improve my R/W skills and possibly get in on some larger formations. Any help would be appreciated. Still here after all these years Clayton

I have spoke to all of them on several occasions, I believe a person would be foolish though not to get all the information that is available. Hell all you have to do is ask so why not take advantage of what's available fom everyone. Different people do things different way's and for different reasons. Does anyone out there use a Sony PC 7 for skydiving and if so is there a helmit or box that is made for it's use. I found a good deal on a used one and was wondering about this prior to buying it. Still here after all these years Clayton

I asked for some help with probelms I was having with line twist on new Xaos 21 a couple of months ago. The feed back I recieved from this forum solved my problems and I wany everyone to know that I appreciate the help. I was not leaving enough slack after my last line was stowed in the bag, and the bag was not leaving the container with enough speed to keep it from getting out of Wack. also keeping my eyes on the horizon helped. Thanks everyone. Still here after all these years Clayton

Hello everyone, I would like some information. I am considering giving base jumping a try, I am fortunete enough to know some really good base jumpers and have made my share of skydives with them. My queston is what equipment would be suitable for someone my size. I would want to buy my own equipment prior to making my first jump. I would feel more comfortable I believe. I am 220 lbs without gear. any feed back would be appreciated. Still here after all these years Clayton
