  1. I'm going to post this on my facebook page for all my friends to see
  2. Hello Jeff, I currently jump a Racer with Velcro riser covers and was considering a Mirage after taking your rig tour online because I really like your design but was really wishing it had the magnetic option. I say Make it an Option and let the people vote with there wallets but please keep it reasonable
  3. Very Interesting and inteligent man, very talented too! I had no Idea Bill could play the Piano so well.
  4. Dont Understand the poll Call The Jumpshack or email Suzie@Jumpshack.com They can hook you up! They built a comlete rig for a guy your size not too long ago
  5. There is something That we use on are safety harnesses at work Fall Arrest systems called a decelerator. That is incorporated into the lanyard that you tie off with. Kind of acts like a shock absorber if you fall its basicly excess lanyard that is folded accordian style and stiched together when you fall the stiching rips progressivly while it extends cushioning the sudden stop. I'm not sure how or if you could incorperate it into a parachute system with out it being too bulky, Main lift web maybe where large riser ring attaches to harness , desighn it for 15- 20 G's load limit before it tears? Im sure if it were feasable Bill would have incorperated it by now. sorry about the spelling I'm really tired too tired to spell check
  6. My Racer SST was built in 1991 looks new and the straps dont slip like some student gear I jumped Plus its very Comfy
  7. Thanks Lou I think A shadow racer 2K3 with those might be my next container
  8. Got the new Bag today and hooked it up and the container was a little easier to close. This main has less than 30 jumps on it so I'm hoping it will get easier too
  9. I have been thinking of getting one Talked to Suzie the other day about a Shadow Racer with the Magnetic riser covers to replace my SST
  10. You're absolutely right. However, I want to be remembered as the guy that found a way to survive!!! After all, I'm an asshole and a braggart. I want to be the one telling the story. And, I want a chance to embellish it. Oh, what a story I’ll tell. No shit, there I was…….… I have a friend who was doing a demo from 3K. Bag lock and his reserve wrapped around it. He went through a citrus tree and landed in some soft sand. Broke almost everything. Every time he tells the story, he was going 5mph faster. Ya know what? If you live through that, you get to tell it any way you want. Was his Name Arch Deal?
  11. Now that is funny. Dude, I haven't choked while reading in a while. That was freaking hysterical. yeah I was actualy laughing out loud just picturing some skydiver trying to do RW with one of the falling passengers that is one of the Funniest things I've ever read on here in eight years Oh I like the shoe Idea too
  12. Or if you are in central Florida( Lake Wales) track for a nice soft marsh flatten out as much as you can and at the last possible second go into a stand position Maybe you will only sink in up to your neck thats what I think I would try to do
  13. Bonehead Mamba bought mine last week ,Totally awsome and my new Protrack fits in it well
  14. Because I trust my rigger If you dont trust that your reserve is going to open Maybe you shouldnt chance jumping out of a perfectly good airplane yeah I know I havent seen your airplane Bottom line if it cant pass my controlability check I'm going to chop it! Reality is There are no guarantees in this sport and I realize that I'm 39 years old now and have no death wish if you think you can safely land your canopy with a stuck toggle more power to ya! Theres been plenty of great canopy pilots that are not with us any more because something went wrong under that Hi performance canopy right before landing I've had a brake toggle that I couldnt get loose the first two tries, I was contemplating chopping it but I had plenty of altitude so I chose to work the problem ,on the third pull it popped loose! If I could not have got it by my decision altitude I would have chopped it. In the End its your ass on the line, follow your training listen to that little voice in your head and hopfully live to jump again
  15. I would chop it and practice flares on my reserve Seriously though why risk it when you got a perfectly good reserve waiting to be deployed? I would rather land my big 7 cell Raven 3 than Pilot 210 with a brake stuck.
  16. Councilman mine is an SST made in 1991 but it looks new .my packer even thought it was a new one I had it sent to Jumpshack after I bought it an had all the updates done on it except the riser cover magnets.Had all velcro replaced new BOC pouch ect. Oh and Suzie at the Jumpshack is sending me a new mainbag she's pretty sure thats the problem also as the pilot 210 should fit perfect. Thanks for all the help fellas,
  17. Removed the old velcro today that used to go to the leg pocket with my wifes seam ripper it was pretty easy. Thanks for the tip fellas! As far as packing I guess if I decide to downsize a 188 Pilot will fit great
  18. I'm really hoping that its the bag ,its really hard for me to fathom that a container sized for a Sabre 230 wont fit a Pilot 210 hell Aerodyne tried to tell me that the 210 would be too small and I needed a Solo 230 Minumum.
  19. Thanks Very Much Ronaldo nice of you to take the time with the sketch appreciate all the info on removing the velcro too!
  20. Ronaldo thanks, the line stows are against the BOC bottom of rig. Is removing the hook velcro something I can do or is it best left up to a rigger
  21. Drew I was watching our packer struggle with it and even lent a hand I felt so bad I tipped her $4 extra for each pack job But just for giggles I opened the container and tried it my self. I sent an Email to the Jumpshack so maybe I'll here something tommorow
  22. Beeeyaatchh! jumped my rig yesterday for the first time (Racer) The container says the container pack columes are 500 ci for reserve and 550 for the main. I have a super raven 3 reserve in it and a Pilot 210 The jump shack recommends a 230 sabre according to the canopy chart but this pilot 210 (less than 30 jumps on it) is really tight in the container. My rigger replaced and lengthened the closing loop this helped a little but it is still tight . The main bag is not original to the container its an old Triathlon 220 nylon bag and one of the people watching said that was part of the problem as Racer bags are really wide . Should I go ahead and order another main bag, or should I just deal with it and hope it gets better with more jumps or just get another container ? I attached some photos of the container packed up
