    Yeah, it is under attack and the left is powerless to stop it. We have completely and totally lost to those on the right who want theocracy and fascism to replace liberal democracy. Since we have no effective mechanism to fight with, to flee is the only viable option. Make no mistake, I am more than willing to fight, but, as I see it, the battle is over and we lost.     Lincoln. He preserved the union and in doing so allowed for the creation of the modern United States. Most of what we now take for granted, like a single currency, is a by product of the civil war. Lincoln is also the only executive to submit to a popular election during time of war.     Well let's see: I have no political representation. (The left no longer has avioce in US politics) The government is drifting toward theocracy. (I am an atheist) Science is out, religon is in. (See above) I am not above the median income and have no ivestments or hope of becoming part if the investor class. My local and state pols work in opposition to my desires and therefore do not in any way represent my interests. I, and others who share my interests, are completely without effective mechanisms to remedy things like the unconstutional acts of congress since 9-11. (e.g. Patriot 1&2, etc...)     Brush up on ropes and knots, prepare to spend a lot of time on your knees and get ready to be very overheated. The key to it is to not be in a hurry. Take your time and go slow.     I think I understood your quote perfectly. You equated removal of SC with the type of repression practiced by fascists. What you don't understand is that by censoring in the form of moderating was not working. Even when it was talk back, it wasn't working. The content does not lend itself to working and playing well with others. Notice all the stickies at the top. Notice how much of a presence the moderators have to be in there.     Getting rid of SC is about a million light years away from what the NAZIs were up to. And while we're at it, why not get rid of bonfire? The content of both Bonfire and SC are available on rec.skydiving. Go there for all the flamming and trolls. Leave Dz.com for substance. Unlike what's going on here.     I said what I said mostly because of the half assed way that it was being moderated. Censorship, even in guise of moderation, is wrong. I'd rather have no forum than a selectively censored forum. I even have a problem of how and why they moderate the other forums. Why moderate at all? you don't see anyone trying to moderate the real bonfire at the DZ, why moderate it here?     I have owned both Javelin and Wings. I am a rigger and for my money, Wings is it. They are more comfortable than Javelins and cost less with a better delivery time. I bought my first Wings as a second system. It fit so much better that the Javelin that I gutted the Javelin and bought a second Wings. PM me if you want more details.

    I was around for Talk Back. It was pretty ugly in there too. I was just thinking that the moderators spend too much time regulating that one particular forum.
