I think my standards are low. But it's incredible how much of the population gets eliminated. 1. No self destructive behavior. (Drinking, drugs, smoking, obesity, gambling addiction) 2. No issues with exes. (Must be free and clear of all previous romantic relationships), no baggage. 3. Must participate (in some way, not necessarily jumping) OR tolerate, my jumping. 4. Must be non jealous. (No pitching fits over the few female friends I have) 5. Must be financially secure/stable. 6. No kids, past, present or future. (Kind of ties in with #2, think baggage and psycho exes) I think these are basic, common sense requirements. But apparently, they are the most restrictive, high maintenance standards ever devised by man on the face the planet ever. Jeeze. Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. Choosing a religion is simply not an option. Religions are, at best, silly, and at worst dangerous and divisive. I would never sign on to something that is so easily perverted as religion. ...Until this guy shows up. The dude is 6' 10", I'm 5'4". I thought manifest was kidding for a minute,then I realized it was no joke. For some reason, there has been a huge amount of negative vibe toward WFFC on this site in recent years. I can only conclude, after having been there for the last four years, that this is the result of a smear campaign designed to draw people to other boogies. I have never seen safety issues there that were any worse than any other large boogie or even a large DZ at peak season for that matter. That being said, there were some serious problems with the event organizers this year. With virtually all the vendors, and the seminar presenters that normally accompany them, boycotting the event this year, attendance was WAY down. I can't imagine that anyone on the aircraft side of this was happy with then planes flying less loads. The jet was announced way too late for it to make any significant difference ( BUT WAS WAY COOL!!!!
