They improved somewhat from an original FX. First impression of the canopy is its opening, not much snivel yet soft. Unlike FX this one does not have to be packed meticulously. And during opening wing stays more directly over the head vs JVX Flight characteristic doesn't seem to be too far away from FX. JFX almost flys the same, but with slightly deeper range on the rear riser. Fronts are slightly lighter than FX but not by much. I've flown both JFX and JVX in a same size, and JFX dives little bit more deeper, but still not as deep as velo, and all the input feels whippier than jvx. I don't understand why people will bother with JFX, if you are ready to fly this wing why not get a JVX??? JVX opens fine for the work jumps, and I'm pretty sure that with line twist JFX will dive you to the ground hard as much as JVX.

Flys like super crossfire. Flat glide with very crisp rear riser action. Heavy front riser stays heavy and gets heavier, not for those girly arms. Most of the opening are fine, some are great. Being x-braced with moderate wing loading when stuff hits the fan it can go very ugly very fast. Than again, everyone cuts away their first cross braced right?? If you are Katana pilot you'll hate this wing until you get used to the quicker recovery arc, and its flight characteristics. If you love how the crossfire or even stiletto flys you'll fit right in. Great for a working canopy, gets back from far spot with ease, and thx to quick recovery I make it back and still have enough alti to make 270. If you want this wing to dive like velo does, get 2 sizes smaller than you would with velo,

ummmm. that is the reason why the main pin cover flap is there??? again, test them out by pulling your bridal from the direction as it would pull it out on normal deployment. Closing pin will swing around and up towards the curved end, if the bridal is laying so flat against the rig and if the tip of the pin catches on the bridal it may lock it in or worse pierce it thru the bridal, as seen in Parachutist magazine couple month ago. my biggest question is "who the fuck invented smily face???" Don't know who came out with smily face myth, but smily face doesn't do anything, what is important is that tip of the closing pin should clear the bridal. Pull the bridal from the bottom and you'll see that the pin will swing up and around, if the curved pin's tip catches on to the bridal it may lock it in place. Bernie Sanders for President 2016

You can jump anything with wing suit, if you have consistant good openings with your current canopy than you'll probably have good results with jfx as well. Tagle jumped velo 69 or 7 something for the record with full RDS Cani jumped his jfx for the REAL record. Having jumped a jfx, my experience is that it openes really nice and quick but like any x-braced canopy, when shit goes wrong it will go wrong very quickly. Bernie Sanders for President 2016

When choosing mirage go for the smaller sized reserve that you can put in, For example, mt fits 120 to 135 reserve, don't pick the 135 especially if you use aad. It also depends on where you live, 135 packs smaller at florida vs southern california. Bernie Sanders for President 2016

Most of the rigs out there being used, does not have cable housing that lays flat against riser grommet neither. That can not be the cause of fraying. My old infinity had 180 flip on one side of cable housing and my current mirage has both side 180 degree flip to it. I've seen same thing happenng on my friend's(dropzone id shermantor) rig long time ago, after jumping 200 ish we found the same type fraying on one side of the riser. We did not find any nicks or burr or sharp edges on the housing or the riser gorromet that could conturibute towards fraying. And that was on infinty ordered in 06 and i have just got my own infinty 2 weeks before his. Vse's response at the time was to send out new set of riser but even on his second set it started to fray just like his old one within 50 jumps, and shortly after that this guy stopped jumping due to his own personal reason. I am not bagging on vse, since i had one on the past and put nearly 1200 jumps on it without any problem what so ever, and i've already ordered another one, but this rogue fraying riser loop seemes to happen time to time. After jumping mine i wanted to lengthen my breakline by 2 or 3 inches on smart 120, loaded at 1.7 It was stalling when i was in full arm length, deep breaks chasing my main. Execptionally good swoopers are born with the natural instinct, and made to perfection with training. However i believe that anyone can become mediocre swooper when they have desire and believe in themselves that they can go farther and faster on every single jump. I've seen kids flying xbrace at 200 jumps, those are the ones with instinct. I've also seen kids who crashed into tree lines at 200 jumps and 1000 jumps later they are flying crossbrace doing decent swoops out of them And bigger turn comes to play when you do not have enough money to downsize or stay under same wing same wingload but wants to go further and faster cuz smaller turn gets boring after so many jumps.
