Veggie Reggie is coming?!! Outstanding! I haven't seen him in three years! What about Nick and the rest of the Kamloops flock? PS: my rig will definitely not be gay PPS: Jean is prononced Zshon, which definitely sounds gay. No wonder he doesn't mind "mud bug". PPPS: I am sure there will be people arriving close enough that you can arrange a ride. Yes, start a "who needs a ride to/from Tampa airport" thread.

I ABSOLUTELY disagree with what you said there. If THAT were the case, you can bet your ass that that fat-ass Ruben would never have won a few years ago. Same goes for Taylor Hicks. Nice guys, but they ain't making ANY money, nor do they have any other public success compared to some of the "losers." Nope, I am sure that it's the real vote-winners who advance. I doubt very, very seriously that some kid is going to vote for everyone but his favorite (by repeat dialing) if the voting were for the worst performance. With two exceptions, I thought the guys sucked badly last night. Beat-box boy was good. Chuck

I totally agree. If you DO quit, just make sure you sell your "big sucky main" and the rest of your gear to some young jumper for cheap and not leave it in your closet to rot.

NO, I changed the colors around to be less gay.

You missed one really cool thing that you (and another guy can do). The "Predator" move. Fly down to the leader of the tracking dive (who is generally on his or her back) then move close enough that they can reach up and grab your chest strap. Next, pop your wings hard and fly up, up, and away with them away from the other trackers. We were doing that more than five years ago at Raeford. Me and Bobby Pritchard actually did it together; he on one side and me on the other. When Moose (Atle, from Sweden) was here over the winter he routinely got into position for the move, but John Kleug never got the balls to grab on. Jeff does it too. We are going to do it some more when it gets slower here. Ultimately, if you are able to fly with your wings collapsed behind your back, you are able to stay with trackers. Don't get bored; have FUN! Yeah, baby, YEAH! Chuck

I don't know, bro. That might give the "speed dialers" more time to keep some talentless idiot there instead of the true deservers. Again, I think the only fair way to vote is to vote for the worst every week.

I agree. Val, you are a dork.

How do you stop a leather tear from spreading?
SkymonkeyONE replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
Why do you believe it cannot be sewn? Any upolstery shop ought to be able to mend your chair. Cheap fix? Super glue it. -
No, Zach, but that is clever.

Scott has a lot of damn suits (all matching of course), but he has been flying his new Mach1 lately.
-
A: I am sure I registered the day the site was back up, but I re-pre-registered anyway just to make sure. B: Jeff is a tired ass and Scotty will probably have to pay his registration. C: You will all be drooling over my new Z-flock emblazoned container at the event.

The original "BirdBabe" is positively Kim Griffin, BMCI-2.

I don't know about freeflyers being "better" students, but I can tell you that some of the worst body positions I have ever seen in first flight students were flown by older RW guys with many thousands of jumps. Like Omar said, it's muscle memory. Chuck

Atle is "Moose" Ted is "Theopolis" Jason is "Voodew" Zach Bowen is "Cake Boy" Jeff Nebelkopf is "Heffro" Tony Uragallo is "Big Nose" Are those the random nicknames of which you speak?

Hey Ed, I might be here. If not, please knock on my camper door and come in for a cup of coffee. Actually, I can guarantee you that a whole bunch of northern guys will be here about a week early. First load will be right after 0900 on Tuesday, bro. It's going to be a good event.

Again, I think small canopies are fine for demos so long as you DO actually have PRO-level proficiency on it and you have a proper runway to land it. You positively MUST have a long enough area so that you are not initiating or directing any energy over the crowd line. You are not allowed to hook turn out over a sea of people and land in a small cordoned-off area. Same restrictions as stunt planes. Chuck
-
I am pretty damn sure that Joao did the actual stunt under one of Luigi's old VX's. Isn't Joao PD sponsored? The other canopy he was practicing the stunt under was a logoed Velocity. Edited to add that I think they probably ought to rename the show "GoFast! (registered trademark/do not copy) Junkies."

There, fixed it for you. -
It's raining here at Z-hills as well. Total wash of a day, as tomorrow is supposed to be.

Sanjaya is like Michael Jackson. He utterly sucks. [rant]Again, just because I have not said it this year, I will repeat my biggest gripe about the program: We are asked to vote for our "favorite" and not who we consider the worst I have a hard time choosing my favorite each week, but I can ALWAYS identify who needs to leave. Voting for the suckiest singer would prevent the hordes of worshippers from voting 20 times a night for their untalented high-school fave. Voting off the worst person each week would keep the best contestants in the running longest. The vote-off show this week was clear evidence of that. Sanjaya needed the boot two weeks ago. It's shit like this which got the incredibly-talented and now-super-successful Chris Daughtry voted off prematurely last season and let Taylor Hicks win the whole thing. Unbelievable.[/rant]

Skinny's New Javelin Odyssey shhh he hasn't seen it
SkymonkeyONE replied to upndownshop's topic in The Bonfire
Hey J., there is no "e" in Skinny, ya freakin moron! Fire your embroidery person. Since it was ME who named him skinny in the first place, I can promise you that it's spelled wrong on that damn cutaway handle. -
That's actually very routine down where I come from. It's like nature's beef jerkey! Who thinks I am kidding? I'm not.

NEWS FLASH!!! -- I'M HOME!! and How "High-class" are Your Problems?
SkymonkeyONE replied to Gawain's topic in The Bonfire
Slight tangent here, Max, but I wonder why they don't just install a titanium (or whatever) cap over the end of the bone. Same for below the knee amps. You know, something to tie the tib and fib together and prevent future tissue damage. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Glad to see you back in the groove. You look like a member of Aryan Nation with that shaved head though!. Grow a bit of hair, boy! You know 6-71 DOES allow it.
