  1. It's Monday and we have been doing four-ways all morning. Come as early as you like. Terro got here like five days ago. Chuck
  2. In our school we generally have in the neighborhood of 40 (that's FOURTY) suits hanging on the rack. All brands, all sizes. Yes, we charge a bit for instruction here and no, we don't get any grief because of it. If you don't want to pay for quality instruction in quality equipment, then feel free to choose another dropzone where people don't care if you rip the asses out of their suits........Isn't that right, Jason? Chuck BMCI-4
  3. I have an extra tent, sleeping bags, and mats in my teamroom if anyone truly wants to rough it. Chuck
  4. But you cannot get a back-vented Phantom with that option. Personally, I think a BASE pouch on a Phantom is a waste of money. The wings are positively never in the way at pull time on a Phantom. If the original poster is ever in Z-hills, he can try both suits. I have about seven Phantoms and three S-Fly's on the rack.
  5. Yuri, you looked like a giddy schoolgirl when you showed that thing to me! Very clever stuff.
  6. As do I, Robi. I know lots of people that fly extremely tight in slot, but plenty of others (who we all routinely jump with at events) who wash all over the place and scare the rest of us. James Boole and I were talking about "the fourth row" thing at, possibly FnD 2.5. You know, how that we never have any problems creating very-tight formations up front, but that after that fourth row of people the gaps widen and the formation gets much looser. The large flying chevrons are always tighter than the large wedges and diamonds. The reason is that the people in the middle of those big wedges sometimes feel "penned up" and freak out. That, or simply star washing around in the middle forcing the people around them to give them a wider berth. I would actually rather participate in a backfly nine-way (or larger) perfect diamond with truly talented flyers than a big, loose "record." That said, I am definitely going to be in Elsinore and I will maybe make it to Arizona if my schedule allows it. The texas boys had all better be there as well. Their experience will definitely be needed on any large record attempt. Chuck
  7. I have been offline for a while, but I find the timing for this event odd. Isn't this just one week after the record attempts at Skydive Elsinore which were discussed and planned at Flock and Dock 3.0, then finalized right at Flock and Dock 3.5? I believe the number of people attending the Elsinore event (to fly slots) is 75. Good luck getting six plane loads of any experience flyers one week after that other event. My plans were made two months ago to go to Elsinore. I doubt I will be able to get away for long enough to do both events, particularly when we are in full season here in FL. 8. You are LATE, fool! The fiesta has already begun
  9. Will there be white people at this competition?
  10. I might be there by then. I have some contract work out there at the end of January.
  11. Parapack is far, far more durable than parachute fabric.
  12. You got THAT right, brother! We are an AMAZINGLY tight-knit group of friends. Oddly, some people accuse us of, quite often, of taking advantage of each other when the fiesta is in full boogie. To those people, I say FUCK OFF; you clearly don't have any idea what "Friendship" means in the greater context. Chuck
  13. Clay is standing right next to me and he says "That's HOT!"
  14. PS: anyone who has spent time with Lee, Turtle, Jello, and I at any boogie needs to PM me and get on the list for an honor which would make Bill Ottley cower in shame.
  15. I don't know what's going to happen there on december 8th now that Lee is dead, but I can promise you that a bunch of us will still be here in Tallahasse with Brandy.
  16. I have plenty of stamina for shit like that, Negro. "Legs out", por favor.
  17. Lee was a really serious guy when it came to his friends. I was just dicking around in his house today, drinking beer with Clay and Clint (and others) and found a stack of B.O.B. memorial stickers and patches. I also found some Beezy Shaw stuff. I just had a very funny thought of one thing that will DEFINITELY have to be on Lee's memorial stuff. Anyone who ever spent time in Lee's camper will know what I am talking about.
  18. Brian and Samantha were the first responders to Brandy. They have provided safe haven from the press and others to Brandy and theirs was the rallying point for us yesterday. We are now operating out of two houses, their's and Lee and Brandy's. People have been in and out all day offering condolences and their support. We have a fantastic support group set up. Chuck
  19. "Chuck Blue Blasphemy" sounds like a good band name. You guys just made me spit on Brian McNenney's computer keyboard!
  20. There are a ton of us here. I got here yesterday with Clay in tow. Turtle beat us here by an hour. We all just got out of a meeting with a business partner of Lee's to make sure his landscaping accounts will be kept up. It looks like Clay is going to stay here and run things (with assistance from many others) for as long as it takes things to get sorted out otherwise. This is a tremendous blow to Brandy. Help her through this anyway you can. It's another crushing blow to our tight-knit group of friends here in FL/GA. What a huge loss. I talked to Lee at least twice a week. We fucked with each other constantly. I rode from Tallahasse to The Farm with Lee a few weeks ago for Beezy's ash dive. It was a very entertaining ride to say the least. BSBD Chuck
  21. Clay and I will be there around 3:00 pm
  22. It did not suck being an integral part of that ash dive, Tracie. Thanks for letting me have one of the glory slots. It was down and dirty but me and Bill got it done. Also, thanks for diming me out for swooping the fuck out of the lookie-loos on the ground in your eulogy! I TOLD Joe Bennet to get them people out of the way! Hey, I HAD to do it. Beezy, in case you didn't know, packed me an un-cocked pilot chute under one of his smaller Blade canopies at the last "real" mardi gras boogie at Moss Point. the same boogie that JT could not speak a word of english and threw up on the fence like six times. It was wonderfull! Beezy Shaw was a men among men. He was my brother and I will miss him everyday of my life, just like I miss Chris. I cried like a baby when we were doing the "stories". It was tough, but very telling of the people that were really close to Beezy. again: thank you for the opportunity to be a primary part of that skydive. Chuck
  23. You guys have a tremendously-tallented staff. I just wonder how you are going to spread out that tallent among the money-paying customers and still get enough hours on the time card. Again, I was slack-jawed at the show you guys put on in between the sets that I flew when I was there. Amazing shit. I have over 250 hours in the Bragg tunnel, but every single one of you (to include Amish, Droop, and the other new guys) are my superior in EVERY way. Respect, brother.. 24. the Radical is only made by the "real" Atair: Stane and Magdelena. It's positively not the same canopy as the Impulse/Space/Alpha/Cobalt. The only two I have ever seen are routinely jumped by James Boole and Robi Pecnic of Phoenix Fly (the wingsuit company). Both of those guys get fantastic openings in their wingsuits and swoop the piss out of their canopies. Chuck
