The S8 armwing is aesthetically very similar to the Apache. The inlets and airlocking mechanisms are totally different though.

SkymonkeyONE replied to unclecharlie95's topic in Wing Suit Flying
all other attempts, particularly those attempted by media whores will be rightly denounced by everyone preesent at stony's actual succesful landing as "second or later¨. -

no chickens were harmed during this highly-documented event. Ray landed on his belly in the grass and only bloodied his nose -

joke all you like, but Ray did in fast exit an aircraft in flight anb succesfully land his wingsuit without the aid of a parachute or any secret contraption. any later attempts will be relegated to second page copy.Ray beat all the other chumps to the punch. So very sorry, Jeb! -
sure it is. i dont think there are two exactly the same super mach ones. mine certainly isnt 'stock', nor are any being flown by jeff or justin. fwiw; jeff won last year in what is now considered the stock suit.

its a bit shitty right now, but we got off eight loads before it got ugly
-
we are posting away on our clever wireless devices between loads
-
we have broken down into two groups of about ten apiece already.

looks like you are sucking, lurch

Yes, that's from chewing on barbed-wire fence so much.

So my nephew shows up yesterday afternoon right at last load. His reserve was out of date. It should be mentioned that this is the second boogie in a row that he has showed up to with the same problem. Lots of jumping through hoops got him un-fucked by a local rigger first thing this morning. Note to others (who are not related to me): the loft here is going to ream your ass very, very badly if they have to "rush" your packjob. Do yourselves a favor and make sure your gear is in date before you get here. The loft is booked solid right now. Chuck PS: Today is Wednesday, it's 0930, the skies are clearing, it's already 80 degrees outside, and we have six birds about to get on load one.

Omar who? Oh, you mean "AcroBat"? He was actually walking around the dropzone about a half hour ago. Not sure if he is going to be jumping though.

THat is definitely a 721.

PK Airpark is designated as 5W4. It's the privately owned airport that Raeford Parachute Center operates off off. You can get Jet A and 100LL there too. It's five miles from the wind tunnel. Unicom for there used to be 123.50 for local traffic. Gene Paul generally does not charge a ramp fee for visiting skydivers. Contact the field at (910) 875-3261 if you want more info. Unlike what Kevin said, I know from plenty of personal experience that you can fly into Fayetteville for around the same price as Raleigh. Just know that you are generally going to connect out of Charlotte. Chuck

Tim Tennant is the DPRE in the NC/SC area now. He operates out of Raeford, NC.

It's Tuesday morning and there are at least seven flockers walking around. The weather is beautiful; come on out. Chuck

I charge $20 and slot for first flight instruction (which takes me 30 minutes). I charge $20 and slot for one-on-one coaching for people who want that degree of attention, and I generally charge $10 per flight on any of our demo suits after the first jump. People will jump your shit all day long and offer you nothing if you do not have a set price for things. I am a staff organizer here, so my slots are covered when I have at least three other flockers around. Conversely, some of the totally-non-rated-by-anyone (not even a USPA coach rating) freefly "coaches" on this dropzone get slot plus $40 for their services. I have an AFF rating, a tandem rating, an SL rating and I own my own tandem and AFF rigs. No one is going to make me feel bad by charging for instruction, whether it be basic skydiving instruction or wingsuiting. As to the BMI rating: I co-authored the modern sylabus a number of years ago and take quite a bit of pride in that fact. It takes me two days to teach and evaluate the course and no, I don't feel bad charging people for the course if they willingly choose to attend it. No one is "forcing" anyone to attend these courses. Chuck

That's a very nice Super Mach 1 you got there, Scott.
