  1. Don't sweat it, bro. Skydiving is an individual event, just like buying a car. What I think sucks completely, you might totally love. You know, just like the people that buy Pontiac Aztecs! LOL!
  2. I didn't pay too much attention to the Boomerang since I can't figure a reason why I would have one. I paid particular attention to the Mindwarp because the last one bugged me so bad. Another cool thing about the complete redesign is that it looks entirely possible to "pimp" the back. I really like the new design. Still, my two "pimp" helmets are the bomb. Chuck
  3. Hmm. I think it may have been 15 hours since my last skydive. Looks like I will be paid to make four or five today, then I can screw off in my wingsuit. NOICE! Chuck
  4. I'll take both pills at the same time and see what happens. As to PR, I am sure you will have a blast. I talked for about a half an hour with one of the principles in that DZ at PIA. He seemed very cool. Chuck
  5. Well, Yuri (outrager) has protrac data to show short periods of positive altitude gain after long dives, so I would guess that someone with that degree of control over his suit would be able to show at least a small ellipse of a circle with smoke. Chuck
  6. I may be in Cedartown in march as a judge or spectator, but it's an "advanced qualifier" and meet, so no, I obviously won't be competing. I was just inside Aviators trying to talk two guys into going there and competing, so we will see how it goes. That is only a six hour drive from here. Chuck
  7. The 21 square foot Xaos 21 is, to my knowledge, the smallest main flown on individual risers. The Cobalt 25 was jumped several times by Eric Butts and a coupld of other privateers in Texas, but it was only flown on a single point hookup, then chopped. We were going to jump the Cobalt 25 in Lousiburg last year, but time was short so we did the first jumps on the Cobalt tandem instead. The one guy that was going to jump the 25 is the dude that took the 1600 foot naked BASE suicide plunge shortly thereafter. Very unfortunate. At any rate, it has been speculated that since Luis Cani successfully landed the 46 with up to 30 pounds of lead on, that he could live through a 39 square foot landing under a VX that size. I am a small motherfucker at 153 pounds, but I can tell you that I have no desire to jump something that small, even on a tertirary rig. Chuck
  8. I have some VERY gnarly stories, but unfortunately poor Pablito missed out on the festivities. MonoUno
  9. As you wish, but remember that my boy Eric Butts finished 4th overall in the nation under a Cobalt in 2001. It's all about individual ability. chuck
  10. Chuck: "you are shady monkey" end of story. I don't need to repeat the BEGINNING of the story, now do I?
  11. I will probably be driving the MonkeyBago down for the weekend. Don't ask me to stay unless you are truly out of your mind.
  12. Two things: As I reported in the PIA thread, the new mindwarps (and other varieties) are de-penisfied and are now very good looking. Thanks BoneHead(Chris) for listening to the remarks from the field. Anyway, I, the total antithises of the "last" mindwarp, can now report that the newest iteration completely rocks. Chuck.
  13. Here, we keep both the Cessna and the Otters flying all day, so it's not a big deal. Just like it states in the ISP, we start getting people in the door on Category C. Chuck
  14. No. Absolutely not. We only run courses downwind when it changes after we set up a course. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw from pass to pass. For example, Clint threw his 340 footer with a three mile per hour down wind not two minutes after I only threw 220 with a five mph into the wind pass. Such is the nature of competition. Generally, we do NOT set courses up downwind on purpose. Chuck
  15. My choice will always be spandex. I have found, in application, that it's just an easier pull. True, you will have to replace spandex much sooner than cordura, but changing a BOC is ten minutes work. Chuck Chuck
  16. Right on, Chris! Has Beezy jumped that hand-mount yet? I want a full report in the "gear and rigging" forum when you figure out how it flies. Chuck
  17. Nice pic, Chris. Cross post that to the swoop forum when you get a chance. There is a good discussion over there on that parachute. Chuck
  18. That's great news. Now that swooping has been accepted by the IPC, this gives everyone the impetus to get their national programs in gear. As the events are sure to mirror the new PST courses, I would assume that Chris is going to set up similar courses. Chuck
  19. Originally from Opelika, Alabama USA. Currently living in Raeford, North Carolina USA and working/ jumping at Raeford Parachute Center. Chuck
  20. Pablito? A bad boy? Unthinkable. PIA was a blur to me. MonoUno
  21. What? Someone wants to clone my verga?
  22. He is not saying he teaches, only that I taught him in Eloy and now he is a fully capable wingsuit pilot. Chuck
  23. complete boozehags, the both of you! Chuck
  24. There are five suits on my dropzone and about nine people total who are qualified to fly them. Chuck
