  1. Ah. I was not referring to you, hermano mio. I was talking about the cat!
  2. Well, Kitty has still not made it home; bastard.
  3. The major thing you lose over water is depth perception; especially over ponds with no other altitude references such as trees, etc. The pond at Perris is especially hard to judge and requires a lot of practice. People who throw their turn at a specific altitude tend to adapt better than those who only use visual references. If you haven't already done so, find out what your turn-in altitude is. I generally wear my altimeter on the inside of my wrist while I am under canopy so that I can read it during my turn. PM me for my phone number and I can tell you all that you want. I am far too behind on my forums to type any lengthier a response right now. Chuck Chuck
  4. The owner of the company, Andy, and another German guy were jumping the piss out of them at the Eloy Holiday Boogie. Andy was jumping a 65. It's an elliptical nine-cell. The graphics on it are very cool. Chuck
  5. I think I will go and take off the rest of the hubcaps so it doesn't look so goofy. Hey, I got's me some orange spray paint too!
  6. My cat has escaped! One of the many housewarming guests I had over a couple of nights ago let Mister Kitty out. No idea where he has gotten to, but my guess is it's back up the road in the neighborhood where he got hit in the first place. I sure as hell hope he doesn't do any damage to his leg or his external fixator. When he gets back I am gonna lock his ass in a closet for two months if he doesn't watch it! Chuck
  7. Here are a couple of pics of Mister Kitty with his external fixator. Chuck
  8. I do not even open anything with "fwd" in the subject line, so you can bet your ass that I would never forward anything, ever. Chuck
  9. Dear SunCheHag, why does your avatar appear to have a bad case of gout? MonoUno
  10. I think he means to say that he is looking for a set of R3's for his vintage gear. I don't think he is implying that he jumps this as his daily gear. Chuck
  11. I have never owned a container (in 22 years of skydiving) that I haven't put at least three different successive size mains in. I have squeezed one-size-larger mains in several of them that were designed for the next smaller size, then downsized twice with no problems whatsoever. Nowadays, I almost have to do so, seeing as how I am jump mains a full 30 square feet smaller than the smallest available container (that I would consider owning) was designed for (Javelin Odyssey RS). 12. That is awesome video. Can't wait for my S3 to get here.
  13. I don't think Kamuran is organizing it this year, but you can bet your ass that there will be a PSN. I will be there for sure. Chuck
  14. Unless you absolutely want a "number", your completed and stamped A-card is your license. Chuck
  15. Here is another one. Billy Bob is quite athletic despite his rotund belly!
  16. I edited the my last post. Check it out now
  17. I can't believe you are ragging on Billie Bob; he is a GOOD puppy! How could you not love a dog that looks like this...(see attachment) Chuck
  18. I have never had a bad or hard opening on a Sigma tandem main. That is all I jump nowadays and I LOVE them. Like everyone else said, they have very light toggle pressure and a massive amount of bottom end lift. Chuck
  19. Dave, I only pay $130 every six months for full coverage on my RV (it's a 23 foot Coachmen). They don't expect you to drive them much, so the insurance on those my size are not much at all. Chuck
  20. By the way, that was me posting under Tom's login. Chuck
  21. Yep, I got mine yesterday. Lots an lots of video of our boy Matt (Cornholio) going low! Who loves ya, baby! The legs on Matt's suit are at LEAST as torn up as Nathan's. The picture CD is righteous. It would take a very long time to figure out which to print, etc. Did Katie's get sent to Kuwait, or did we only get one as a couple? Chuck

  23. Brooks Wiener from the "old" GK Black is on GK8. He is in SF ANCOC right now and will not be done for at least a month and a half. He is already an SFC. It is left to be seen if Tim Reynolds is going to recover enough to be brought onto GK8. His latest motorcycle crash broke him up pretty badly. GK8 is a four year project for Paul Rafferty. He was about to retire from the army the same time as I was, but was asked by the team SGM to give it a go. Paul accepted and now they are working to get the team trained up. Some of the members are seasoned competitors and others just getting their first bite. Scott Janise competed in the CaSL last year on the 82nd team with Matt Davidson, Neal Beverly and Tommy Sullivan. Matt, obviously, was the ringer on that team. When Scott Janise finished tryouts this year, he was recruited as a vidiot for GK8. Fortunately for him, injuries and unforeseen personnel availability put him in a flying slot. Same goes for Aaron Clark. By all acounts (P-Raff and Chris Talbert), Janise is kicking ass. Before they left for winter training, the goal was to do, I believe, 240 training jumps prior to the Valentines meet. Not sure if they met that due to some odd, unplanned medical emergency, but hey, it was their first meet, "improvised" roster notwithstanding. Another note here: in 4-way, GK Gold competed out of a Porter, everyone else jumped Otters. They did this, of course, because they are prepping for the world meet (which will be run out of Porters).
