  1. Dives are where its at all the time. I will second that.
  2. Drink fast and take chances!
  3. You mean these things? No drooling on your monitor, please. Both are W1 EXT's.
  4. Straight through from Opelika, Alabama to Colorado Springs, Colorado. That was 30 hours. I did it three times. Once in a '74 Pinto that smoked like a chimney and twice in my old '68 Z-28.
  5. THat was fun, but fairly difficult to get a good score at.
  6. I'm glad my hobby is skydiving instead of drudging up crap like that from all over the internet.
  7. I have not had a single problem either checking or carrying on rigs in any of my travels in the past three years. I generally travel with more than one rig so I mix them, generally checking one and carrying one in a gear bag.
  8. I second that. It would have been nice seeing you again, Kris.
  9. What a complete fucking jackass.... By the way, I moved this to talkback because it clearly has nothing to do with "general skydiving" Chuck
  10. When you pack, fold the dive loops 'up', so they pop out and down on deployment. Derek That's EXACTLY what I do.
  11. If it were not such a complete pain in the ass to do so, I would cut out all the crap by the antagonist in this thread and the responses to him and just leave the informative Samurai stuff. Unfortunately, I don't have the time so it's just easier to lock the thread and deal with it later. Arrogance combined with lack of experience and a desire to be "cool" are the surest way to find yourself on the inside of an ambulance. All of us who have been skydiving for any length of time know the signs and, unfortunately, also know that some people will just never get it. Chuck Blue D-12501
  12. Where the hell am I, chimp?
  13. I had a burger king chicken sandwich (plain) with cheese, and a shot of ass.
  14. with very, very few exceptions, I do not allow any people with under 500 jumps to "jump with" me when I am doing a tandem. If you are just off students status, then I will let you jump before me, but I am going to give you enough space that you will not endanger me or my passenger.
  15. I am not sure which sensationalist show had it on, but there were two people that were towed behind either a 182 or a 206. They were let out on cables by winches out either side of the plane. It looked completely gay. Chuck
  16. I don't know, dude. My secret blend of Hormel chili (one can w/beans, one without) is off the hook! Opelika in the house...REPRESENT!
  17. I used to manage a school that did it by the book, so I got taxed and recieve a 1099. That said, anything I paid out of my pocket in order to operate is getting written off. Our packers got paid the same way. There was not any "cash" packing going on at our school.
  18. If you are working and getting a 1099 and are paying taxes, then you need to be writing off all your packing as a business expense.
  19. Clint Clawson. Clint can do anything. He is my hero.
