Have you priced medical steel? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Some one mentioned to me that that new scotch gaurd formula isn't rig friendly. Can any one confirm that? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

If you and the people your jumping with can track well, and safely skydive together, and then get proper separation then why not??? Since I have had my A license I have tried everything from some really awesome two ways, to some ten ways that never quite worked. Even if we don't turn points we get well away from each other. Rule differences between US and UK
DougH replied to NottsTom's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
First jump in the US... first jump @ a new drop zone... first landing in the us... Your going to owe a lot of beer. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
I will have to get some one to take a picture of me in it. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

How long did you wear it around the house??? Tonysuits did an awesome job on mine, but I am pretty sure my girlfriend is going make me take it off when she comes home!!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

By this logic, the fact that I've done over 1100 jumps without a reserve ride means that I'm never going to have one. No of course not!!! But I would wager that over the course of your skydiving career you will probably have less reserve rides than some one who has racked up 20 reserve rides in 1100 jumps. I would vote for moving it to the bonfire, or the trash. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I think a roll bleeds of horizontal speed rather well. A slide only works well if you have low traction. Some one already mentioned it (but I think it really illustrated the point): a gopher hole with really ruin your day because you catch on the ground... A skii works awesome on slick snow slope... but a tire kicks it ass in rough terrain. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I have PLF more than once at a high rate of horizontal speed. It works great. I think there is more chances for a slide to go wrong, or to be done incorrectly. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Do you think it was a fellow sky diver, or some one just walking around? I hope that you find you gear back, and the person who stole it suffers a painful end!!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

To some one, maybe. It is only worth what some one will pay for it. I hope they can get some yuppies that will sign on. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Question: What's The Lowest You've Ever Pulled?
DougH replied to Kramer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So what are the "right tools"? I KNOW mine are the wrong ones, a pilot that snivels 800 feat regularly... The lowest I have gone is only 2500, since I just got my B license. And of course I was greated by the first time I have had line twists since AFF, about 7 of them lol. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
I think most would argue that a PLF, or similar roll would be much safer. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

If your serious about consistently eating shit, then my advice would be to have a instructor video your landings, and give a serious debrief. The picture is pretty funny, but there it also has a serious side. It can go from funny slide, to a broken leg very fast. Every one has a different learning curve but getting video of the landings can only help!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

So it might be Al Gore's fault. What isn't? I blaim him for building the internet, which allowed me to find this website, and resulted in me living in a box at the DZ with my laptop. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Well you have to consider that she was probably parking an SUV in there!!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

you mean.... her cervix "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I think I found something that I known absolutely nothing about!!! Normally I can at least pretend, but here, zilch, zippoo. So what service is preferred. Is one more likely to stay in business than the other, or have they been along enough to be established? My girlfriend was talking about wanting a new radio, and I thought this would make a good gift. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I think you and the rest of the experinced skydivers gave excellent responses. They were just what I was looking for!!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

If this was in your profile then I wouldn't ask, but how many jumps do you have and how long have you been skydiving. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

So your opinion would be that I should stick with my original EP's? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
-
I thought this would make an interesting thread, and also one that I am curious about. In ground school at my DZ they teach EP"S one way. You look at the cutaway, grab cutaway with two hands, look at reserve, pull cutaway, pull reserve. When ever I practiced it the move was, look... reach... look... pull... pull... I have thought before that if practiced in some situations a hand on each handle, and then pull pull would be more efficient, unless you have a hard cutaway. The catch is I would have to train my muscle memory all over, and I would have to make sure not to deviate. So how did you learn, and how did the evolve (lets limit it to 3 rings, and piggy back containers) "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

lol, that was a zebra, and it was it's neck... It was a point break reference lol... "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Now he is eating the ass end of a dead rhino!! lol "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
