[url "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj9JDsUkYlw"]Look towards around the four minute mark, you'll see Pete wearing the mod, and in that jump, you can see him flocking quite nicely, just to the left/rear of Veggie.

As mentioned previously, contact Laszlo, as he custom-builds switches for Nikons, they're available through the Ranch Pro Shop.

_generally_ it's not a good plan to use UV/protection on a wide due to flare. I have a tandem stoe around the rim of my lens, nothing more. Mileage may vary. but in those moments when the sun will be in your shot, ie; exits looking up at the plane, expect flare with a protector/UV/Sky1A

Mini's get to around 15lbs if they're *really* big. My male is around 9 lbs, female is slightly larger at 13. Our last breeding female weighed in huge at a full 15lbs, making them harder to sell at a premium price. Yes Jenn...they're well-cared for. during pregnancy, the dam has a shaved wood area inside my barn that never is colder than 65, and once she delivers, she and the new pups live inside the house for about 60 days. Very little direct handling by humans. Occasionally we have a puppy fade away, but it's rare. We've had around 40 of this breed in the past two decades, both as inside and outside animals. They break to a litterbox very easily if you want.

Surpised as in we didn't expect them for another 10 days or so. Also only expected three, not four. She's a little smaller than other bitches we've had, so figured the lumps were only three. I guess we missed the breed date, cuz until two weeks ago, we weren't entirely sure she'd taken. It's her first litter, and her personality didn't go through the same changes we've noted in other females we've bred. These are a fun breed, and this particular sire is smaller and extremely sweet compared to his grandfather (whom we also bred til he was too old for UKC/AKC breed regs). He fell in love w/Monkeyboy when he was out here. Very rare to see him let a stranger get that close. Failed to add: There are always folks looking for AKC/UKC Eskie minis. Friendly and very family safe breed, and generally, they go to people we know or friends of people we know (for a price, of course). They're a terrific companion dog either indoors or out. Small bit of trivia, first dog trained to walk a tightrope was an Eskie. Very smart breed.

My dog, Luka, surprised us with 4 puppies last night. Here are a few pictures. Mama and babies are doing well. She gave us three in a row, and after a while, went back to the well and there was one more. Three boys, one girl. American Eskimo miniatures. Kinda fun to hear whimpering in the night again, except this time I don't have to change diapers.

thanks to all who participated, congratulations to our winners. If you have ideas on how we can make this better in the next version of the contest, feel free to PM me or Sangiro. Huge appreciation for our main judges, Norman Kent and Joe Jennings. With nearly 200 entries, there was a LOT of content to sift through, and it was very time-consuming. Saw some GREAT video in there, and some terrific flying. Some had good stories. Looking forward to doing it again!

If you are shooting in HD modes, using a Waycool, Liquid, Royal lens will significantly reduce your resolution. By as much as 75% on edges. If you're shooting SD mode, I'm a fan of the Royal, as they are marginally higher resolution (it's just a difference of how the glass is finished). The single element lenses are all fairly close. If you're shooting HD, the Raynox lenses and Century lenses are the only medium to small profile lenses that will give you high resolution images. The Raynox 3030, 5050, Century .55 and .3 are all popular. Inside, you'll want a .3. Outside, you'll want a .5 or .3. IMO. Stills quality is very good for a video camera from the CX7. It's not a still cam, but for webpix or even 4 x 6 prints, it's not at all bad in my opinion. You'r gonnna LOVE the TonFly.

It has little to do with the Holocaust. I'm not in a position to try terribly hard to dig into your question related to an early 90's issue. Contrary to popular thought, everything ever written isn't online, and it may be my memory isn't entirely correct. http://www.jewishgen.org/InfoFiles/ldsagree.html does speak of a rabbi sponsored by the Israeli government if that is really the point you wish to focus upon. Saints of the Catholic faith have been "converted" by proxy, as have other major cultural leaders such as RedCloud, George Washington, and tens of thousands of others. Perhaps the question should have been, "do you feel it is appropriate that Catholic and Judaic organizations have taken steps to prevent LDS access to their records in order to stop LDS from baptizing in the names found within those records?" Most respondents here have indicated that it doesn't matter what is done with the names of their dead. Works for me, sorta.

In the video Stu took, you can see Pete flying slow and smooth with the mod. I can post the vid here if it helps. The double cutaway on the wing sure was interesting. Is that to prevent having to permanently mod the wing?

Local papers carried it, local rabbi talks about it fairly often. Not interested in searching the SL Trib for it, but I'm fairly confident the State of Israel asked, as opposed to specific (or non-specific) groups requesting the LDS faith stop baptizing their dead. IIRC, the Weisenthal request came a couple of years after the state asked. Part of the discussion I recall was tied to the BYU center in Jerusalem and alleged intimation that the LDS faith wouldn't be allowed to continue some of their works there.

That would suck to lose your video and PIN information on your card. Then again, not everyone has rare earth magnets as original equipment on their Blade.

EX1 uses a broadcast link connector (big, bulky, definitely not what you want). The HypEye D connector does control the PMWEX1 however...

Merely being widescreen vs 4:3 makes HD appear to be more shaky. It's not, but now the eye has a greater horizontal area to make you think you're seeing more shake. As a general rule, EIS should be on for skydiving. I don't have problems on my belly with OIS, and I know freefliers that don't have OIS problems. I'm convinced it's a combination of side mount, flying style, and skill of the person, but then again, I don't freefly well enough to say "I don't have a problem with OIS."

I don't know of any zoom controller that works with the D port, but I do know a guy that might be able to customize a LANC controller to fit the D port and offer most of the same functions.

Well, it depends on what you classify as crazy but since judaism does have certain beliefs and rituals to consider and that over 75% of the population of Israel is jewish, and the state of Israel has a duty to protect and serve the interests of it's people, it would be a reasonable to say that your statement isn't completely correct. I'll accept that argument if you can agree that as most of the USA is Christian, and the current administration has a very strong Christian policy, the US Government has an equal interest in protecting and serving the interests of Christians over Muslims, Jews, Bhuddists, Druids, and Rock Rollers.
-
The _State_ of Israel doesn't have any crazy mythology or pointless ritual to protect.

I agree, what they do doesn't physically matter if you don't follow the religion. At some point, it is sort of humorous.. On the other hand, if it shouldn't matter to anyone, what is the purpose of the State of Israel and the Vatican stepping forward to say "No more access to records because you are doing this or that with them?" Is it merely an emotional response or are there any practical merits to their argument?
-
to LDS geneologists. The Vatican has ordered that LDS church members may no longer have access to parish records, as the Mormons use those records to submit names for baptism for the dead. In other words, Mormons baptize (by proxy) dead members of the Catholic church. This also includes having baptized many papal leaders of Catholic past, no different than how the Mormons baptized Simon Wiesenthal. The State of Israel has asked Mormons to stop the practice of baptizing those killed in the Holocaust, saying "They were born Jews, they lived as Jews, and died because they were Jews." Read the story as reported by the LDS church, Read the story from the Catholic perspective. What is your opinion? Is it right for a church to collect records of the dead, for purposes of baptism into the LDS church? Is it appropriate that the LDS faith has "baptized" all signatories of the US Constitution, Holocaust victims, Popes of past history, Native American leaders, and other cultural icons? The LDS church claims that they only baptize those that they've been asked to baptize, yet have been proven to be baptizing dead who have no progeny to request their baptisms.

I'll second NewEgg, they're great. Overstock.com has their main warehouse (and original location) just over the hill from me, and I'd still go w/NewEgg. They don't deal with greymarket, and they have great prices, good service, and a decent return policy.

Neil Peart, watch out. And you NEED more cowbell.

Congrats! onward and upwards...getting closer to that wingsuit weekend in Z-hills, aren't ya?

Avery Badenhop (Team Ill Vision) is jumping one as well, as a top mount on a helmet I couldn't identify. I don't know how much freeflying he does.

Ed, thanks to you and Lodi for hosting this event. Aside from meeting many new friends and seeing some familiar faces, I walked away from this event having significantly improved my skills. In the words of Lewis Black, "I've finally reached 'less than shitty.'"
