  11. No announcement yet, as we're hoping for sponsor subsidizing (so it's as cheap as possible). Last year they were 55.00 with no sponsor $$
  12. CX100 Significantly more solid, no lens mount hassles, far more options, top or side mount, lotsa boxes from various manufacturers, better grade imager, lower price...
  13. they can usually be found on eBay etc, but they sell for a LOT more than the original retail.
  14. Scott Callantine (SDCTLC) did around 6 mins on the last one. biggest problem wasn't missing jets, it was keeping Rick from flying into fences. :-)
  15. If you make it, all your meals are on me. (beer included, and I KNOW you can pack away beer)
  16. USPA membership card (current) Logbook Reserve Data Card Signed waiver You may or may not be subject to additional inquiry depending on your license level and currency. A D license jumper who jumped at their DZ in the last 6 months is likely to receive less of a discussion than someone who has 26 jumps and their log book says their last jump was 4 weeks ago. We don't check gear, just the reserve card. Some DZ's I've been on have checked my gear out thoroughly although a recent experience made me laugh when an S&TA felt my open corners Voodoo might not be "safe." He'd never seen one. He'd also never seen a bridle routed beneath the flaps vs over the flap. He informed me I needed to re-close my container because a bridle beneath the flaps is "guaranteed to cause a PC in tow." In other words, just because a DZ requires a gear check doesn't mean they know what they are looking at.
  17. I'll take that hour next time you're back East. We'll really put that claim to a test. HW **this offer does not apply to crusty old farts, ancient skydivers, macolytes. Void where prohibited, taxes and surcharges may apply. See your local video geek for more restrictions and details.**' Just kidding Howard. You know you'll get it quickly. happy to teach ya!
  18. 22,990 MSL (we'd like to go higher, but that's as high as we're allowed due to airspace restrictions). We have a 2 mile clearance through the RNav airspace during our jump. The jump goes right through the middle of SLC International approach.
  19. I've had a couple emails from people asking about qualifications for the Halo jumps at the Freeflock Utah event. You must have 100 wingsuit jumps to take part in these jumps. Nothing else during the boogie carries a jump # requirement (outside the first flight course, of course). We were requiring previous HALO jump experience last year, but we learned that it's just easier to brief participants. See ya there!
  20. In one hour, I can have *anyone* be fairly proficient in Sony Vegas. Premiere and FCP take a little longer.
  21. It may be the first time you've seen it, but I GUARANTEE that the guys that are merely deleting files vs formatting the card will start coming out of the woodwork once they're using their cards a lot. I've seen corruption with crappy cards/low grade cards used in EX1 camcorders, so it doesn't surprise me to hear of it in the CX series. We've used file-based cameras for years without any problems.
  22. I'll be back in two weeks to pay my beer fee. Had a plane to catch. For the record, Spot didn't spot. That was someone else.
  23. I'm so sorry to hear this, Kathy. Rob was a class act, and openly shared his view of wingsuits.
  24. which wide adapter are you using?
