  1. Hmm, I haven't been around long enough to note, I'd like to know the answer to that too! It hasn't affected me personally though, I think I'd go back no matter what the cost.. well, within limits of course :)
  2. I did exaggerate a little. I never put more on the credit card than I know I can pay back... I only use credit card instead of cash so I can get a good credit rating (I pay it back before it gathers interest) My dropzone gives you 2 months free gear hire after finishing AFF, so I am using their gear, after the 2 months I will definitely be getting my own rig. I did make it seem more dramatic than it really is, didn't I?
  3. Right now my credit card bill each month is more than what I get paid... mostly made up of jumps. Luckily I have a large nestegg to be able to pay for it. (it was supposed to be for a holiday to Antarctica!) I don't know how much longer that nestegg will be there for at this rate... Especially as so far it's all student jumps, and I have yet to buy my own rig.
  4. Sounds like a great three weeks! Did the one that cried end up enjoying it?
  5. I was going to say I have jumped before with an almost healed swimmers ear infection, and it was fine, but looks like you already jumped and it was fine. :) However I never would with inner ear infection!
  6. On my 11th jump, I had an off-dropzone landing near a bunch of cows, and roughly at flare point, I noticed two cows going at it nearby.... that was pretty distracting!
  7. Can't you use them for peeing too? meh i dunno.
  8. 4 9 7 6 10 What the hell is snafu?

Hmm where's the emoticon for throwing up... this'll do... www.lemonparty.org haha is worse
  10. I like orange juice and fruit salad... greasy foods look gross to me after drinking :D
  11. 0:3:lots Finished AFF program :D First off-dropzone/downwind landing, first hop and pop, first totally solo jump :D
  12. All in with a 7 and 2 offsuit? :S
  13. Hehe, our radios never work. I think in all my training jumps it only worked about 3 times! My canopy control is dodgy at best, so I can't say this was a good thing for me haha. Glad you did well without it though. On my first jump I was so concentrated on the freefall that under canopy I was bloody glad I had that radio and arrow to follow (not sure if your dropzone has the big arrow they move around, but it sure helped me!)
  14. I always get the dreaded "Tell me about yourself." *shudder*
  15. http://www.myspace.com/mangledspoon Anyone feel free to add me
  16. Hehe, I spend my nights reading posts here and at skydivingmovies.com too. I haven't ever really posted myself but I always read it... I thought it'd wear off after a while, but it's been about 6 weeks now, and it isn't showing any signs of wearing off. And by the looks of some of the other people that have posted on this thread, it won't!
  17. I forgot to count on my first jump, well, I did it late anyway. After that I've never forgotten though. (mind you I only have 6 jumps)
  18. I usually have a lot of problems with my eustacian tubes too, I have found when I take allergy medicine (meant for hay fever) it completely gets rid of the need to equalize at all. I don't know why, but it's fantastic, because I find it very difficult to 'equalize'. Not sure if this would help you but that is what my doctor suggested and it works like a charm, unless you have the flu. It's called Clarantyne or Xertec I think, but I'm not sure if those are worldwide medicines or just where I live. Anyway, hope you find a solution that works for you. I have found Sudafed works too, but not as well.
