Why would you want an "entry" level bike? Unless you are 5'5" or shorter or a chick, there is no reson to buy a Sportster. If you are short buy a Lowrider or Deuce. for the same price (9K) i bought this. I have never had a problem with my pullout. It' more secure that a BOC, no pouch to wear out or hackey to get "lost". The only people that tend to have problems are people who are lazy with their pull sequence. They pull but dont throw. Over 2300 with a pullout and the only problem I have had is the 1st jump on a new rig and I dropped the PUD. Had a floating handle, reached back to my pin, found the handle and deployed without a problem. Most people can't handle something different from the normal. The like a BOC because that is what "everyone else is jumping." They don't know why they like a BOC other than everone else is jumping it. And cant even begin to tell you why it is better than a pullout Hell my rigger doenst even know how to pack my pull-out!!! Everyone seems to be looking at a solution to a small part of the problem. The problem isnt 270's, 180's, 360's etc, the problem is 2 people in the same place at the same time and performing a HP landing in traffic!! And I don't think that is just people doing 270's thats the problem. Yes the last few accidents have been people performing 270's. Perfroming a HP landing and proper execution of a HP landing are completely different. In Dublin there was bad execution in heavy traffic. DP was never known as a swooper. He toggled his HP landings. Education is a start in the right direction. After AFF how do you learn to fly your canopy? Hell even during AFF you are not taught how to fly it, just what to do when there is a problem with it. If we are to ban 270's + then we need to also ban S-turns on final other than students!!! Also deep brakes on large canopies on final. I would have to agree with Iwan. If you lauch off of the K/A just before the tandem leaves you get a great shot. I put my right foot on the side of the plane just below the window and lauch out just before they exit. takes some getting used to, but one you get it its fun and the shots look good.
