I have a PC350 with a sony 0.6 wide angle lens and a Canon EOS-1N with a 50mm 1:1.8. how will the pictures match up? Which canon lens would work the best for this setup. Haven't been able to try yet because of the weather. Thanks, Tom

i have a pc350 in a dbox on the side of a bonehead optic. I love the fit. call linda at bonehead and she will bring you up to date. i have a large dbox but bonehead is working on a box for the 350 but won't be available for awhile. the ff2 made in the UK fully encloses and i have heard good things. my only issue is the time to ship is about 6-8 weeks and the distance. if they had a US rep it would be better. I live closer to perris than the UK and warranty and work were an issue. hope this helps.

i have a pc350 and i believe it has the same strap. cut off with a razor at the post. cover the post with a small piece of gaffers tape so dirt does not get to the tape housing. hope this helps.

sony picture software package v1.0 that comes with pc350. i use a docking station and a usb cable to a front port on the hp. i have no trouble with the transfer of photos and jmegs using the docking station. pictures are sent to hard drive and into a folder of the picture package software. i then choose tape from the play/edit on the power controller and don't get a transfer. if i place the controller to camera/tape on the camera, the transfer will take place and record anything that i am pointing the camera to and it is sent to the hard drive. hpoe this helps.

Thanks. Tom

I currently jump with a BH mindwarp and looking to purchase a PC350 or HC40. which is a better choice. I would like to have stills also. I have done some searchs but no comparisons of the two. I also have some concern about clearance between the helmet and D Box. would you recommend going to a flat side helmet for mounting. Thanks,Tom

the italians should waive to fee for military personnel. after all, if it was'nt for the US, you'd be paying in marks.

Should the Reserve be larger or same size as the Main?
kosanke replied to skymiles's topic in Gear and Rigging
call the manufacturer. the folks at pd are great. depending on your needs and experience, they will give you a good matchup. I fly a stilleto 150 with a pd143r. check the square ft. a 143r is 150 sq ft. a good match for a two canopy out situation. hope this helps. the question has many correct answers. -
packing is just part of the education. take time to learn everything you can from all the sources that are there. like this web site. there are packing tips in rigging. as for me. the hell with learning. it's easier to pack a katana 97 than my old pd230. less fabric.

could you reply back after you have tried it with the results. also do a hop and pop to see how the low speed deployment differs. Thanks

It's not published but if you contact Warren at Sunpath I am sure that he would be of help. Container manufacturers set standards, sell d-bags with pilot chutes, and risers. Buy a canopy, that's what you get. Rusty at PD is the person to talk to. Both companies have great pr and have always been there to answer all my questions, even the dumb ones. I would think that if you are having hard openings and your packing has not changed, except for the new canopy and pilot chute, I would start with Rusty. I know how you feel. Throw and wait for the slammer.
-
I would contact Sunpath and PD. there is a controversy. PD recommends a 27-29" F-111 for a Stiletto 150 that I currently fly. Sunpath recommends a 32" F-111. Sunpath indicates that smaller than 150 will of course require a different size. If you are having hard openings, there are a number of possible problems, the pilot chute size being one of them. hope this helps.
-
generally, the container manufacture dictates the size depending on the bag and canopy. size, weight, and a number of other issues are involved. what pd might recommend might be different than the rig manufacture. contact both for their recommendations. hope this helps.
-
No rig, nothing. All you need is a 357 mag. I"ve seen it done in Point Break. Also, 4 minute freefall from 1 thousand feet.
-
I love the way it flys, just need to fix the openings. My Spectre have a 30" F-111 and opens great. I have mucho confidence in the people at PD and love their products. Tom
-
Kolla, glad to see you respond. I just sent my Stiletto 150 to PD because I have had hard openings since purchase. total jumps on it-10. The last was so hard that I think that I have broken a rib or 2. the feedback so far is replace the 32" F111 with a 27-28". hope this works. the test jumpers will report back on monday.

How do you get a pilot's lisence with one eye?
kosanke replied to Tinkerbelle's topic in Skydivers with Disabilities
Tink, I lost sight in my right eye in vietnam. Had a first class physical. took me a year dealing with the faa to get a waiver( demonstrated ability). The waiver exempts being tested on sight on that eye. sight in other has to meet vison requirements for class sought. doc should know the requirements.you can call okc faa doc and go over your needs. I flew for alaska international air and era aviation during the 70's out of fairbanks. back then, we could drink and fly and not worry. it was alaska after all.
