Just like private investment, at a certain point, it becomes self sustaining, which would give everyone even more money for their own lives. Look at the govt, retirement set up in Galveston, Tx. or in Chile. It really isn't that hard to do, it just has to be done. Of course, this would take away much of the socialist control that politicians love.

Had the govt. been serious about an actual retirment account, there would be billions sitting in a "lockbox", but the fact is, that it is nothing more than a petty cash account to them. I have made a prediction that by the time I reach retirment age, the bar will have been moved to 70 or 75. There are only two groups of people who potentially get to use the system to its fullest, some who have never invested a dime. Those who, for whatever reason, tap into the system, even they have not contributed,and those who live to be 100. Oh, yea, let's not forget the illegal immigrants who deserve a piece of the pie. Do you think that it's good to be forced to contribute to a system under the guise of a retirment account, and if you died one day after the day that you could collect money, neither your wife nor your children can collect one dime that has been stolen from you? GWB made an attempt at rectifying the mess and was shot down for political reasons, not because it wasn't a sound financial move for the investors.

I just had a friend, with about the same number of jumps as me, ask me about my accuracy. I really couldn't explain it to him at the time, but I've given it some thought. I still start with the basic approach and then factor in the current wind speed. This is particularly important when planning your final. It becomes a game of angles for me. Knowing what angle your approach will be, depending on the windspeed, is important. One side of our LZ is restricted by the runway, so that is always a factor on the base leg. Let's say that if the windspeed at 7-10 mph will cause a 45 degree angle on final, then as I fly by the target, when I'm at a 50 degree angle I turn onto base. This will work regardless of your altitude. The higher you do it, the more opportunity you have to practise the rising/dropping point. You can then use fronts, rears or brakes to adjust the approach. The other factor to consider is how the canopy planes out during the flare, depending on the wind. You have to visually readjust your target accordingly. If it's a no wind day, then my actual target would be 40-50 ft. shy of the desired target.

I've been watching the complete Avengers series. Great, light hearted stuff. I just got done watching the Nowhere Man series with Bruce Greenwood. Sometimes, it's out there, but it will keep you riveted. What I like about series is that you get 3hr. of running time per disc.
