  1. Yeah, I didn't realize how much stuff I had. The proceeds from all that RC stuff bought me all new gear head to toe and still have a couple grand left over.
  2. I just sold off the last of my RC stuff since I got back into skydiving. Here is what I was flying. http://hometown.aol.com/bike466/index.html Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  3. I just signed a policy with Dive Alert Network for 200K @ $177.60 for six months. The policy has NO exclusions. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  4. Me personally I would jump it without the Cypress, I have 169 of my jumps without a Cypress, RSL or AAD of any kind. You are jumping without an AAD not without a reserve. Just remember if you don't pull something you don't get a parachute. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  5. There is a Boogie in Titusville this weekend? Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  6. If you ever get out to Skydive Space Center, ask Allen (the packer) to show you the method he showed me today. He puts the canopy in the bag starting at the top of the canopy and working down. It works great!! I already know how to PRO pack and flat pack but this method he has is the hot ticket. I have great openings also.
  7. 0:0:0 I don't jump on weekends. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  8. Great information. Thanks for the replies. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  9. Yikes, that scares me. I would keep it in a minivan while at work if I am going jumping after. Maybe I should keep it in the office instead that day. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  10. I am not talking about storing a rig under hot conditions on a daily basis but I was wondering if keeping your rig in a hot car once in a while damages it. I know sun light breaks down nylon over time but what about summer heat in a car in Florida? Also what effect does it have on Cypress batteries? Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467

  12. I finally got to jump my Sabre2 210 today and I like it a lot. Actually I put three jumps on it. I wound up buying one never having jumped one before buying (sent the demo back to PD unused) but I am very happy with the canopy. It still feels big to me, I think I could still fly and land a 170 like my old canopy with no problems but I am going to stay conservative. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467

  14. Yes, where is this new DZ going to be? Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  15. Are there anymore DC-3s for skydiving? I just got back into jumping a few months ago after a ten year break. I remember Mr Douglas was around back then but I never got the chance to jump it. What ever happened to that plane? I really miss doing cannon balls off a C-130 Herc ramp, I doubt I will ever get to do that again. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  16. Yeah, I understand that. I am only guessing that 144 MPH was in a track. My ProTrack only tells me my average free fall speed and the max speed. I am not really sure what I was doing when I hit the max speed. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  17. I already had around 35 Military static line jumps when I started the static line progression course. I think that contributed to being relaxed with no real fear of the jumping part. I had to repeat one jump out of the whole course. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  18. Oh, not bragging. I have 7 jumps in the last ten years. I am a little rusty. I am guessing that was the track when I hit that speed. I did a couple FL and BL but I don't think I would have gained that much speed in them. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  19. I hit 144 today in a track, falling flat was 124. Just tried out my new ProTrack this afternoon.
  20. It seems like there is one of these posts every week or two. Its nice to see I am not the only one coming back to the sport after a long break (10 years for me). You need to get out to drop zone and see what they want you to do. I had to sit through the ground training again, do emergency procedures in the suspended harness and then I did two jumps with AFF instructors. It will depend on how much you remember and how fast you progress on each jump. It does come back fast though. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  21. I am not a big fan of Sprays. They don't work on all people, even law enforcement grade sprays. Some people it just pisses them off and makes them fight harder. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  22. I'm no doctor but I don't think I would try it. When I first started jumping I made a skydive with a stuffed up head (allergies). I thought it would be ok if I just took some Sudafed and a hit of nasal spray before the jump. At about 6000 feet my sinuses or something vented (I felt the pressure change) and my nose started bleeding. Ever have a nose bleed at 120 mph. It looked like I had been shot in the head. My goggles were sprayed red and I couldn't see out of them. No permanent damage but it wasn't fun. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  23. Yeah, LOL. You would definitely have to travel light to use this thing. I sure don't see a ruck going in there anywhere. I would think getting the CG right would be critical. I don't see this thing getting past the experimental stage. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  24. That's the first thing I thought when I saw it Add jet power for extra credit. *** It is supposed to have jet power according to the article. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/gryphon-singleman-flying-wing-177606.php Here is a better pic of it from the rear attached. You can see the gear inside it. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
  25. True but then you have to wait another nine weeks for delivery. After the eight to ten weeks it takes for the container to be delivered. I would rather have a complete jumpable rig. Kevin Muff Brother #4041 Team Dirty Sanchez #467
