Jeff, we did it in 1998, it was also when we had to use tnt for it to work, and we built it ourselves -
Thanks everyone! I will check everything out, but I like piisfish's suggestion! Will definitely try to catch one of the cheap airlines and go to warm places on weekends when London weather turns into crap! Will also visit Sibson. Cheers!

Thanks, I will look at the link but will also specify my previous post typed fairly quickly. Anyone I know here jumps near London? Decent vibe and easy commute (car pool) to the DZ? If I have to look at all the DZs and randomly pick one based on reviews I won't even bother bringing my rig Wanna see who on this forum jumps not too far from London. Thanks!

Being sent to London mid sep to dec, thinking about bringing my rig and suits but haven't done any research yet. Any local jumpers on here? What's the scoop?

If we cut military spending by 70% we will still spend twice as much as second China, and 4 times as much as next few countries on the list.

So they offered to fly you, meet with you where you could express your issues personally and ask all kinds of questions while taking a tour of their facility (on their dime) and that wasn't enough for you. well, tough shit. They went farther than they should have in my opinion. What a great company. You should crawl back to the hole you came from. Just my $0.02 -
your posts scream 2 words: mad skillz good luck young jedi

Congrats and yeah, you guys were crazy. I'm under 30 and I went to to the movies instead cause I was not jumping in that heat good that CK has 2 movie theaters within 1 mile lol

Hey James, Come on out this weekend. As we talked earlier, being 5'11 110lbs starting out in a WS is not easy to get yourself flying with others. Like the opposite of someone who is 220 flying an Intro It will be challenging for sure for a while. I will be organizing again. As you already know, besides me and Walt, nobody who is jumping with us is experienced in flying any formations. So it is complicated right off the bat. Having 4-6 people total if we are lucky right now, with 4 out of those being very new to flying a wing or flying in formations (and with big range in neutral fallrate) we are trying to start from the ground up. Keep up with us throughout the summer, there will be smaller stuff, more jumps devoted to individual skills, one on one jumps, small 3 ways flying tight and fast (forward), building to hopefully bigger ones. I will admit, as we are starting with jumpers having basically 0 experience, it will be a long road, but be patient, make suggestions, and I will make sure everyone is flying and having a good time this summer. Finally, eat some pizza damn it

Those 2 are in a slightly different class so I'm curious about a comparison too. PF's Venom is more of the model sitting in the class of X2. I would be really curious to hear people comparing the 2 when it comes to performance (distance, time). I don't think both Venom/X2 have anything on V4 when it comes to forward speed.

Will the 200 pre-req be lowered with latest suit technology?
michalm21 replied to mixedup's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I would actually like to see it raised to a higher number. What would that number be? I don't have an answer - things like this are hard to quantify, given many conditions but I doubt majority of FJC students are prepared at 200 jumps. One argument I see about training early is that student doesn't have "bad habits" from other disciplines so some may learn faster and progress safer. But of course the counter argument is the lack of experience to deal with emergency situation (some things you just gain steady over time) To answer the OP question - hell no. even 200 seems too few in my book. -
but how did it fly?

What do you mean by doubling bands? Just to be clear - double stowing all stows (including locking ones) with large rubber bands will not be the (main) cause of a bag lock. Double stowing large rubber bands is the recommended method of stowing lines.

Ok, big internet mouth you are just too much at a talent, obviously your learning curve is through the roof and everyone is just jealous. Yeah, that's it. We are jealous. You do sound like a douche though, won't be on the same exit point with me for sure. Enjoy and shame on the dealer for cashing that money. I'm happy I decided a year ago not to do any more business with this dealer. Some people just get to greedy putting money over safety. I'm out.

so 125 jumps total and getting a suit that the manufacturer recommends a MINIMUM of 150 wingsuit jumps. I won't even mention 200 jump minimum BSR... This should be good. Getting popcorn.

not this shit again ...
