This thread reminds me why this forum sucks I'm going jumping

Not everyone has the same dreams... what may be a dream for you, can be shit for others and vice versa
-
Great video. Fly free, Mirko.

cool! I'd love to try the piranha... I cannot justify buying 3rd suit though

Interesting how from pics, manual and coloring site... RealX looks just like a Vector... http://www.marsjev.cz/products/coloring-real-x-en.htm?lang=en manual:http://www.marsjev.cz/editor/filestore/File/Manualy%20Anglicky/Real-X.pdf ?

LOL, I'm not him, but I dunno - initiate emergency procedures? Go for main twice, then reserve. You should know that already
-
I think it's odd to him because since they investigate their equipment they could have been like... hmm it's all good! but since we can't say that let's see... ahh this steel ball got in the way (magically?) and that's what caused it! brilliant! we will just call it bad luck and move on. /not that it's my option, just saying

Yes, if any part of the gear is TSO’d and by an FAA Certified rigger. Sparky Michalm21: almost entirely correct. If the reserve were TSO'd, the Vector-3 repack would have to be done by an FAA-certificated rigger to be legal in the US. There are several FAA riggers in Switzerland. Sparky: Not quite. If the reserve is TSO'd and the h/c is not (or vice versa), then the system is not FAA-approved and foreign jumper rules apply. Mark Thank you!

you must be such a proud merkan! dear lord, baby jesus would be so proud
-
Not a rigger here, but to understand correctly, if it is a foreign jumper visiting from (let's say) Switzerland, rig packed 11 months ago... a) non-tsoed he is fine and can jump without repack b) e.g. vector 3 - he has to get a repack before jumping in the US Is this correct?

Video is gone, and the jumper is very understanding about what the situation is. He will do more solos and jumps with other jumpers and not attempt any more tandem lurking. I do wish the video was up so others could see what *not* to do

Me neither, I also hate to generalize, but it seems like way too many jumpers from the eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc) show absolute disregard for safety, poor attitude and lack of any forward thinking. Ir makes me wonder if it's just lack of proper training, or simple cultural 'i'm untouchable' attitude I see it all the time
-
He might be doing it wrong, but that entire DZ is wrong for letting him do all that. Don't they have some regulations about using tandems as "flying base for students" (plus jumping camera, plus flying a damn circuit) in Poland? Yes, the dz, and the general attitude seems very wrong to say the least. I never jumped in Poland and am not aware of what the regulations are, but i would not be surprised if they are strict, just not followed
-
I'm pretty sure it's not him swooping
-
he deleted that video, here's another one (pretty much a short version of that disaster plus some more) if you don't want him to delete it, don't post on youtube... I am trying to convince him in a civilized way that he is just doing it wrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wja0ItwYeQ edited to add that it's worth noticing the tandem "videot" also doing a piss poor job on exit
-
yeah.. so to keep it short, this guy is jumping at a dz in poland. we wrote in response to my post, that he has 38 (thirty eight!) jumps, including aff course he says... He also said that without tandem as reference, it's hard to learn the level and proximity, so he will try some more (i'm not shitting you) He also said he doesn't want to hold himself back because solo jumps do not help him at all. The last jump was just a mess, but he says he can fall flat. I have no words ps on that very same tandem jump, the video guy filming off the step also does a shitty job filming the exit - i'm guessing a newbie as well
-
go for it, I've seen it. it's pretty cool

very "nice" blackmail letter... classy /getting popcorn/

read the comments for this deal... gary says to call 1-800 number and that the coupon will be valid in other locations... if it looks like skyride, smells like skyride... edited: from other DC groupon page, same "company" links dz website and 1-800 number http://www.skydivecapitolcity.com/ skydide! hope groupon bans them from future advertising and scamming people
