The Roman Road for Christian Skydivers
georgerussia replied to ChristSkyd's topic in Speakers Corner
Good. I added it to my calendar, and I'll laugh my ass off you and your pastor on Sep 21st. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
There is no need to show that God does not exist until someone shows it does. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Please tell us the date and time, so we could make fun about it after it passes. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
Obama is not a US Natural Born Citizen

LOL. I'm generally anti-Obama, and do not support Democrats (nor I support Republicans either, both parties are full of crap). And I don't give shit whether he's black or not. I do not have any guilt, my ancestors didn't have slaves. This is funny, however, that you didn't answered by question from above. Try another one. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

This is because you already discredited yourself. People have better things to do than answering conspiracy theories, and I support them. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
Obama is not a US Natural Born Citizen

Everything may be found. My question was very precise. You said: This could mean one of two things: 1. You're talking as an expert, who have personally examined a lot of birth certificates issued in 1961 in Hawaii, and your statement is based on your knowledge and experience. In this case your statement has weight, and cannot be blankly dismissed. Further investigation is justified. 2. You're just making up empty things, and have no idea what you're talking about. You are comfortable making up things, or repeating what you read somewhere else as truth coming from you, while you really have no idea whether it is true or just bullshit. In this case your statement is just baloney, and could be silently ignored. It also makes your other statements more questionable. So are you 1) or 2)? (edit: some grammar fixes) * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
Obama is not a US Natural Born Citizen

Please be more specific - it has not been produced TO YOU. Neither was Bush's birth certificate, so unless you're driven by a political agenda, you should question both. Certificate of live birth (certified one; together with some ID) is all you need to get a U.S. passport, and no other abstract "birth certificate" was needed to get a passport for my son. I wonder where this your requirement came from? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

You're making quite bold claims here. Could you please provide some information about your experience? How many birth certificates issued in 1961 have you personally examined, and how many of those were issued in Hawaii? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

It should matter nothing in such a case. Someone who believes the birth certificate he was shown is fake, should be much more suspicious about the birth certificate he wasn't even shown. Unless, of course, he's driven by a political agenda. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

I wonder whether YOU saw Bush's birth records? Because if you didn't, your questioning seems to be kinda... selective. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
No, the numbers do not match. If one claims not having enough money to pay for their own healthcare, this means "a bit more of taxes" should be less than cost of even his own healthcare, not even mentioning paying for someone else. So at the end it's the same - "I want someone else to pay for my healthcare". Sure. I bet everyone would like if someone else would pay a fair 95% share for their healthcare. Well, it is very easy to agree to pay "your fair share" with understanding that your share will not cover even your needs, as it doesn't now. Someone on welfare would have no problem with 100% income tax either. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Excellent! Now, put your money where your mouth is, and buy health insurance for someone who doesn't have it. Or maybe what you really want is that "every one should have health insurance paid by someone else (rich), not me"? Edit: now I got it: So now it looks like that what you really want is that someone else pays for YOUR healthcare, because you allegedly cannot afford it. Did you consider cutting Internet, cell phone and cable? Would easy add $100-300 to your health insurance fund, and you obviously understand that those things are less important than healthcare. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Just how long have you been in Speakers Corner, then??? You did notice "remind each others", didn't you? :) * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

It may be, depending on application. If you're doing 2D draws, it definitely is - you basically draw on integer axis, and you cannot plot at 3.9 - either 3 or 4. Even on DirectX/OpenGL 3D, which supports float coordinates and texture mapping, the difference even between 3.99 and 4.00 is negligible unless your system of coordinates is in 3.95 - 4.00 range. In those applications 3.99999.... = 4. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

That's fine. I too hope that someday you finally understand there is really no God, and it was invented by the people for their own benefit. I'm not talking about enjoyment, I'm talking about redundancy of those messages. There might be Christians whose beliefs are so weak that they need to be constantly reminded what they believe upon; so far I have never seen atheist trying to remind each others that there is no God. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Why would you? Maybe your case is different, but in my case nothing I know about Jesus and Christianity came from God. Everything came from some people, and unless you consider all of them outstandingly much smarter than you, it is only reasonable to question them. If you see, I do not question God either. I question people who pretend they know the God will, and how the God will act (or not act). Hopefully you too aren't accepting as ultimate truth everything someone tells you. What about after the Jesus was crucified, but before it became mass knowledge? You know, there were no Internet, TV, or even books, and one was not able to get from Rome to America in 24 hours, so spreading the word was quite long and painful process. Why should those who never had a chance to learn about Jesus die in hell? Did you personally see this door? Could you prove there is a door, or even there is eternal life? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Then I believe you should say "the Judo-Christian concept of sin only exists in Judo-Christian belief" instead, as basically you're making the concept of sin based on your religion. So a smart person in mentally stable condition will not accept Jesus, but once being unstable, they will. Well, not so much for Jesus then. I'm mostly talking about past times, when JAARS and others didn't really exist. See, you have a dilemma here. If the God judges the heart of the individual, why would anyone need Christianity and Jesus at all? But if following Jesus is a hard requirement from God, then why was it so cruel to push millions of people into hell just because they never heard of Jesus? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
-
Why? You could have my Jesus for free. Just take it. I'll even give you $666 if you prove you took it from me. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

I wonder if there is something wrong with American Atheists? (but I'm a member of both organizations anyway). * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

No, the God did not create Adam perfect, as Adam was the first sinner. If your direct creation was already broken, it would be stupid to expect anything derived from it to be perfect. And, of course, there is a good question why the God created sin in the first place (and being the Creator of everything around, he obviously was). Are you sure? It does exist in some pagan religions. Even Karma is based on good actions, and "bad actions", i.e. sins. So, saying it another way, anybody with good common sense will not accept Jesus if not being under extreme stress, when the person's ability to behave rationally is greatly diminished. Correct? What about the people who never heard of Jesus, and therefore will not accept him as his Lord and Saviour? Is it their fault that your Jesus doesn't do daily broadcasts so everyone knows about him? This explains why some of them molest children. If they're doing nothing, and going to hell already, then why not? There is only one hell. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Would you agree that your message sounds absolutely groundless for non-Christians, and therefore makes no sense for non-Christian public? Would you agree that anyone who is Christian believes that he already developed personal relationship with God, so for them your message is redundant, and therefore makes no sense for Christian public? I really interested in your opinion. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Wow! Was he a President? I probably missed a lot while sleeping. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

For the sake of consistency, did other Presidents show their birth certificates to the public? Did you see GWB birth certificate? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
