I got to do the AFF-1 and 2 today. The first jump was beautiful relaxed, circle of awareness the whole nine yards was wonderful. Under canopy went really well and I was really siked to do another. Here is the problem this happened on the intro. jump as well. My exit didn't feel right then I got the relax shake on the hill and then the relax sign I relaxed and everything was fine but when I looked at my alt. the third time I could not read it. I could not find the pointer on the dog gone thing and started to freak I tried to relax looked again and didn't see it. It really just didn't make any séance to me. I waved off but I knew I was in capable hands and really wanted to have another look so I arched hard and looked again and then I made out it was at 7500 but for only a second then I couldn't seem to read it. Not that it wasn't working I just couldn't read it. I could see it fine but I couldn't find the pointer. I looked away and finally when I looked back I saw that I was at 6000 and waved off and pulled. Everything else went fine the canopy ride was wonderful and Chris said I was doing things before he could tell me on radio to do them. Landing went well not perfect but good. I asked the Jump master about the problem with the alt. and he said it could be anxiety and I fully trust what he tells me but here is my question has this happened to any of you and how did you deal with it? I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

Yes I was having a great time and cant wait until next weekend. People are looking at me funny because I keep busting out with laughter for absolutely no apparent reason. I hope that part of it never ends. I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

What a wonderful experiance. I messed up a couple of times during the freefall. I was really over whelmed but there is always next weekend. Im hooked for life. I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

What is acceptable in the aircraft? From my experiance jumping in the Military when the doors opened and the adriniline started to flow it could get pretty wild with screaming and hollering just pumping ones self up. Just was wondering what the skydivers do when the adriniline starts to flow and how you handle it? I dont want the nickname freekboy on my first skydive. Ahh the joy of a good old mass tach jump with 10 C141s on Sicily DZ. Man I miss those days. Good luck in Airborne School. There used to be a shirt out when I went through that said Until you have jumped 40 lbs of parachute 100 lbs of equipment in the dead of the night with at least 140 other jumps you havent done shit. I dont know about all that but Im making my first AFF jump sunday and cant wait........AIRBORNE I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

I'm confused about the difference between all the different License that you can get can someone fill me in or point me in the right direction where I can read what the difference and requirements for each are? I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

The start of my AFF program has been delayed until sunday. My question is how many jumps does it take to complete the AFF I know the brochure says 7-8 but how many does it normanlly take. The reason I asked is because im trying to get a loan and pay the whole thing up front instead of waiting to get the money for each and every jump. thats where we differ I love being at FLW. The hunting and fishing are outstanding and the post well that could use a little help but its coming along. I work in the Physical THerapy Dept. at the Hospital. My home DZ will be in Sullivan Mo. about 30 mins from STL. Long drive but im sure it will be worth it. I used to be a 12 B until it changed to 21B....Im sure we have stomped some of the same ground. If you get back here look me up and we can go get a jump or two together. Yea man I'm still in. I'm at Ft. Leonard wood Mo. at the current time. I work in the Physical Therapy Dept. Only reason I joined the Army was to become a Paratrooper. Matter of fact the first 13 times I was an aircraft I didn't land in it. I was really nervous the first time the jump got scratched in the air and we had to land. 3 days and a wake up I cant wait.
