the DOM on the container is 1985 and the DOM on the reserve is 1981. I havent found it on the main yet but I didnt look that hard either. I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

A friend of mine just gave me a Cruise lite 220 with a vector container and a swift reserve. He told me he only has 250 jumps tops on the main and 0 on the reserve. The main looks like its new as well as the reserve. I told him I wouldn't take it for free and would give him something for it what do you guys think is a good deal. Also I will have the rigger look it over before I even think about jumping this dinosaur. I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

I would like to asked if someone would email me a pic of a single skydiver to my email chuck.johnson3@us.army.mil. The reason that I want it is to have a pattern made for the scrollsaw and put it into a piece of wood. I have attached some of my work so you can see what it is that I will do with it. I will be glad to make you one also. If more than one person sends me a picture then I will only choose one as they can take many hours to make. check this out the first jump I didn't remember much. Damn sure couldn't read the Alt. but I knew where 6000 ft. was. Second jump perfect except for one thing everyone else keep-ed talking about how cold it was up there. I didn't feel any cold. Third jump went OK but didn't feel the cold again. Couldn't read the Alt. at all but managed to pull at 6000 somehow. Fourth jump Finally my hands got alittle cold in free fall, could read the Alt. but when I was on the ground someone said something about the noise. I'm thinking what noise I don't remember any noise. Fifth jump still no noise but feels really cold and should have worn gloves. I also remember the JM smiling at me when he moved to the front and let me go. Now I cannot picture his face I just don't remember seeing it but I know I looked at him. Note to self try and listen for the noise next time. I know ill go to heaven because ive spent my time in Hell.

I don't know you guys but I read this entire post hoping eagerly that I was going to come across a post that said the Laptop had been returned. Since I didn't get to read that one put me down for 25.00 to up the reward. I wish it could be more but trying to get through AFF has me Little strapped at the moment. That is a good point. My point of views comes from years of being on the static line and my experience civilian wasn't the best. I wanted to free fall the first Civilian jump and they wouldn't let me. Try it if you dint like it I'm sure you could switch to the other I wouldn't see why not. I can answerer this because I have done both. I jumped with the Army and Have 54 static line jumps and another 2 jumps in the Civilian arena. I current am taking the AFF course and did my 4th jump Sunday. Static line sucks for lack of a better word go for the Aff brother you will not regret it all. Static line doesn't even come close to the free fall portion its amazing. You will be glad once you find yourself in free fall and not attached by a static line. My thoughts are this: It is quit alright to say what you feel if you are not putting other men in harms way by saying things like that. I understand that your son is over there so let me try and break it down for you. If those comments cause a new terrorist or a new insurgent to get on board there cause and then that same insurgent cause harm to your son how would you feel about it then. On the same token when all the Men and Women are home and are no longer in harms way wouldn't it be more appropriate to speak out then and only then about what has gone on. I realize that there are very few if any insurgents that would read a post in a skydiving forum. However the possibility of this information getting out and used against our very soldiers in high in a different type of forum. I feel it is imperative to show a strong support of our fighting men and women by not giving in to this kind of propaganda and showing a willingness to endure what has happened finish the job and then hold those accountable for what will come out as the right and the wrong. What I'm getting at is propaganda is a very powerful thing and this true or not is simply propaganda that can be used against the men and women that are serving over there right this very minute. Some are good people and some are not but lets don't add fuel to a fire already burning and cause more and more death and destruction on both sides by saying thing that could cause the insurgency to continue. Let me try and explain to you the way I see it in my world as I am a soldier. As soon as this whole thing is over and all the boys and girls are home again. I will debate or discuss the Pro., Cons., Rights or wrongs of this thing and might even agree with some of your points. Until then I must believe that we are there for the right reasons and doing the right things. I bear true faith to my brothers, sisters, and comrades that are there today and will be there tommorrow. I feel that everyone should but that is just me........Everyone has a right to an opinion and a right to speak that opinion. Now with that said I emplore you to think before you put any soldier down from any country esp. mine as these fine young men and woman volunter to keep our freedom and our way of life and our willing to pay with there lives. I will get off my soap box now and just go back to reading but before I do I will leave you with this (You cant judge anouther man until you have walked a mile in his shoes). My point is I am wearing the Uniform right now and if whether or not you support the war you should keep your opinions to yourself unless you have been there and seen first hand what is happening instead of only going by what you see on tv or read on the internet. What do we need the rest of the world for so we can come and save there asses again. Dont hand me that crap I have done my duty and you cant take that away from me or my fallen bretheren. Wow I am truly amazed at the insite of a bunch of people that havent been in the war zone at all. Lets look at this from outside the box........Seems to me everyone that is BITCHING about the U.S. Army really and truly doesnt have a clue........It really amazes me that even though your asses where saved during WWII you still want to put us down. Live the life for a while think about it If you have been to Iraq and didnt see an insurgent the whole time you where there you need to get out more and take the apron off and pick up a weapon. I say this whole story is Made up BS from someone that is just anouther route to influence others who dont know..... As a New AFF student I am really suprized that I wasnt required to PLF my first few Jumps and then learn to flair. As a military Jumper I already knew how as I have done many. When I come in to land I am always prepared to PLF and also told on the radio to keep my feet and knees together. On the flip side the round doesnt give you the stearing that the square does so it is easy to turn into the wind and flair but PLF's should be taught more. Balls of the feet, calf, thight buttocks push-up muscles. Im new so take me at a grain of salt but as for jumping t-10 Bravo's Ive got some experiance there also with doing PLF's on other than optimal surfaces. My Buddie the one that got me to go skydive in the first place told me today that he was going to give me his old rig. He just out of the blue said Hey Ill give it to you Main, reserve, container the whole nine yards. Its pretty old but he said it only has about 250 jumps on the main canopy. I will get it checked out anyway. I cant remember the name of it but I do remember he said its size was a 220. I don't think you can beat that with a stick. Yes you are correct I am in the Army. I thnk I have the answere now as I was reading the Spinning thread it was clear that I forgot to have fun and was really tence. I have to remember to have fun. My JM reminds me every jump to have fun. I put to much pressure on myself to do it just right and when I didnt turn right thats when I got rushed and couldnt read the alt. thanks for the comments I will do better next time.
