Seems like all the haters in the threads like these are the Dems, not that it's surprising especially from you. Who's hating? I just refuse to address garbage like The Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute and the likes. You have somehow deemed them a legitimate source. Do I need to find the Cato Inst writing where they said FDR tripled taxes? It was Hoover with his Revenue Act of 1932, after that I just can't waste time with that garbage. Post gov data or a truely objective site.

Yea, you still are too scared to tell us what should happen with people who are ill and have no coverage. There's that R compassion showing thru, I've seen it before. Your ideology sure isn't - failing you, that is. So, what's your opinion of that rabid homophobe Bill Clinton signing the Defense of Marriage Act into law? You're trying to morph it both ways. Clinton wasn't pro gay or anti gay, he wanted to create a fair way for people to live as they want w/o advocating one side or the other. He did sign teh Marriage Defense Act of 96, but also established a military policy of don't ask/tell. He wasn't a gay lover or gay hater, he was just a guy who wanted people to have the right to be themselves w/o persecution, a concept foreign to the R Party.

If that is the view of his/her constituency, why? Because he keeps his own homosexuality in the closet, thereby holding himself out to the public as something he ain't. How does his sexual identity impact voting the will of his district? Is he somehow more of a 'bad gay' for voting against, f'rinstance, gay marriage than he is by being married to a woman? Because with his anti-gay votes usually comes the at least occassional anti-gay ramble, which is bizzare to stand in front of a body of gov or any assembly and denounce your very self.

I agree, that would probably be the correct way to state what the US is. People like Mike crack me up with their semantics, they try to remove the word, "Democrat" or any variation of that from the labeling of the US political system, while they back their party advocating the spreading of democracy everywhere, if even by force. They are bascially confused and enthralled in semantics.

Well, he'll get what's coming to him if convicted I'm sure. On a tangent: DUIs are a misdemeanor? Really? 1st one, yes. I think, in my state, aggressive DUI (.15 ormore) are a felony. Of course any aggrivated DUI is a felony too.

Some places with strict gun control have low crime rates. Other places with strict gun control have high crime rates. So we can only conclude that gun control is complete bunk. You would be right IF there were no confounding variables and IF enforcement were uniform. Neither of those are true, of course. He dislikes the scientific principle of isolating the independent variable.

I love these arguments, the side that backs losing policies tries to pull eveyone in. We don't have enough time/data to evaluate Obama yet, but we can evaluate all previous presidents. Do your parents know you're on here? link You must have been too young to notice the 93 tax increae and subsequent cuts in spending under Clinton. The entire economy was well under way before Jan 95, of course you don't want to see the thruth. Also, the Repugs could never force Clinton off his income tax increase, so that stayed at 40% his entire terms which massively trumped the 8% capital gains tax cut, which hindered receipts.
