  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP8nGNbk7oQ I'd make em change their clothing too; wouldn't you? Hillarious.
  2. So, if a white assistant principal told the hispanic kids they couldn't wear a Mexican flag, it would be racist. But if the hispanic assistant principal tells the white kids they can't wear the American flag, he couldn't be racist? Really? Really? I love how everyone thinks only white males are prejudiced and everyone else is virtuous. That assertion alone is prejudiced. Maybe you missed that day in histroy class where they talked about: - African slaves - American Indians - Women - Chinese - Hawaiians - Japanese-American internment - On and on and on and on........ Now I hate that I am held accountable for my predecessor white males, but this isn't a tit-for-tat issue. IOW's a balck calling me cracker doesn't have the same sting as me calling him, "boy." Don't be mad at your local black guy, be pissed at your predecessors 5 and 10 generations back.
  3. Scenario 1: Principal is sued for not letting some POS white punk not wear his flag garb. Damage: Little pussy went home and cried his eyes out. Result: Rules are established governing the wearing of nationalist garb on certain holidays; all staff will comply withthese bright-line rules. Scenario 2: Principal is sued for not making students remove garb that did incite a fight, then riot, 2 students killed and several injured. Principal was aware of the issue but chose to ignore it over a person's right to diplay colors. Result: Prinical lost, owes millions, district owes, teacher fired for poor discretion. You guys can ramble on all your BS, but it is the MOTHER FUCKING FIRST LEGAL DUTY of a school staffer to provide safety for students, education second, civil/const rts probably not on the chart or waaaay down. Understand the law, will ya? A lot of what happened here is likely not reported. 92% of all communication is non-verbal, so 2 punks who never wore the flag before used their hard-stolen money to go out and buy a flag shirt and a flag bandana to celebrate god damned beaner day. We were all kids, we may have been these guys, we may have been the othrs or we may have just observed these guys from afar; WE GET WHAT HAPPENED HERE. They were prohibited from wearing the garb at all, just on that day to avoid conflict that could have resulted in violence. So in your scenario, you wrote: They said nothing to the Mickey shirt/hat people or tried to start anything, just wore their shirts. This is your conjeccture vs mine. I think it's obvious the great sentement these kids showed to not remove the bandana or shirt shows they were making a statement; it's quite obvious and I'm not the first here to make that observation. That could work, but then he is crossing lines there too. The VP was in a pinch and chose teh best way LEGALLY to deal with thsi matter that he could. - Little whiney white boy cries/sues = get over it - Mexican-Americans cry = VP is an insensitive racist. So this wasn't a case of bias, it was a case of cover his ass. What you're not getting here is: Don't hate the player, hatethe game. IOW's, the American Imperialist game of chosing which people are in favor is biting our asses here; let's change the game (American philosophy). We would only know after the bloodshed, then too late for the VP. This was a preemptive act. So they should have been allowed to flaunt their, "fuck beaner day" garb? Would you have just let it work itself out while students could have been hurt? Love the emboldened part. Hey, the blacks at the court call each other, "nigga" so I thought I would as well. You're so far from understanding this issue that you're stuck in conspiracyland against whitey.
  4. No, you are. I appreciate peaceful dissent, you do not. OK - I am convinced - you just say shit to instigate and actually have no real point of view that you believe in. And I am convinced that you are unable to successfully argue the issue so you turn it into a referendum about me. Also, in order to support your ad hominem, you would have to find a DIRECT contradiction that I made. So why not go back and address my issue that this was about liability of the school and not some liberal conspiracy to marginalize the flag in lieu of the Mexican holiday. I didn't say that it was a conspiracy. I clearly stated that it was a baised decision. Yes, the pricipal was biased; he wanted: - No violence - To keep his job

  6. FWIW, those permit refusals are usually unconstitutional, and usually reversed by the courts (at least once it gets to Federal court). I think many stand, esp with the KKK. Actually, no. Ever since the ACLU successfully brought suit in 1977 on behalf of the KKK to allow it to conduct a march through the heavily-Jewish Chicago suburb of Skokie, that pretty much set the legal standard that's been followed nation-wide thereafter. Are you saying that no KKK rally that was denied at teh city/state level has ever been sustained to be denied at the federal level?
  7. Inside our borders (might be different in Zimbabwe, of course), the US flag is not the same as a swastica, a gang symbol, or a button that reads "go home, wetbacks." The flag is present all over the school - if it really had the potential to incite violence, the problem is already present. The VP's own words make it clear why it was done, and it was not for your justification. A flag on a pole out front is there everyday and should be. 2 white punks who wear Metalica shirts everyday except for May 5 when they wear the AMerican flag twice each is for effect; it says, "Fuck you beaner, go home." If that isn't obvious, then I am truely sorry. Zimbabwe is not my home, I'm lucky to be born in the country of preference given to some in the way of HC. The profile is not real in case you weren't aware, but ths for trying to make it an ad hominem. What's wrong with the Swastica? http://rwarn17588.wordpress.com/2006/10/26/swastikas-on-old-arizona-road-maps/ So yes, we actually did support the Swastica at one time. The VP did it to keep the peace to save his ass. He can't be a silly nationalist and keep his job both, so he choses teh intelligent option. It's saved for people in chat rooms to stick their nationalist chests out and clammer on about the flag as it's free and can't end up in a lawsuit and/or firing from a well-paying job.
  8. Righties are blinding by their ghey-love for the flag, claimin g it stands for freedom an d liberty, then they enact laws that deprive people of liberty in the name of liberty.
  9. If one is prone to rioting at the sight of their nation's flag, there's your problem. There should be an American flag in every classroom. and let's face it - Cinco de Mayo seems hardly different than St Patrick's Day - a good reason to eat and drink and party for an event that has very limited meaning anymore, esp for Americans. Do we celebrate Bastille's Day in the US? You're missing the point and getting excited about the flag shirt itself as if it can't incite violence and is somehow exempt from politicizing. Let's remove the US flag part and put any random character in there. Would it be prudent to let a person wear a shirt/headband/etc with a character on it that could incite a riot? Of course not, but we throw in the US flag and all of the sudden its's on. If you were teh principle, responsible fo rthe safety and education of 100's of students, you would do teh same thing or eventgually you would be replaced after a riot and you doing nothing to avert it in light of warning signs; they call that gross negligence. I think you are missing the point - if you deny one group thier expressions - you should deny the others theirs. Isn't that what the big uproar about prayer in school is about? It was clearly a biased move. If the prayer in school turned into or could turn into violence, the school would do what they had to, fair or unfair end teh potetmial for violence, even is someone's little feelinsg were steepped on. You don't understand Nazi-Fascist America, it's about liability and covering your ass, not some silly principle BS. Listen reeeaaaal carefully: THE FUCKING PRINCIPLE DID WHAT HE HAD TO COVER HIS ASS AND DO WHAT HE HAD TO ENSURE THERE WOULD BE NO VIOLENCE. Not because he cared about pussy's little feelings or not, but simpley SO HE WOULDN'T GET SUED. If that's too complicated to understand; sorry. He wasn't protecting, as the neck-baggers would say, the beaners, niggers or who ever else who wasn't white, he was protecting his own sweet ass from being fired or sued. If you remove that rag that stands for slavery, rape, murder and all the other glorious things and *try* to be objective and realize this could be the crips vs the bloods and colors will not be tollerated, you will find the understanding. Here's a quick hypotheical for you: A fight breaks out as Mexican-Americans are put off by whites wearing flags. Students are hurt/killed: School district: Mr Principle, why didn't you ensure there would be no violence? Mr Principle: I had no idea. School district: The staff tells us they told you these 2 white kids, who never wore flag-embroidered clothing before, were irritating the Mexican-Americans with their garb today. Mr Principle: Well sure, they told me but it's their right to wear what they want, esp if it has the US flag on it, it's not as if it is a gang sign or the like. School district: Right, but it's your responsibility to head-off any potential animosity and if you had required the kids to remove or leave, this could have been averted. Mr Principle: But this is the flag, not a gang sign. School district: We don't care, you had the ability to avoid this mess and you failed to when you had the knowledge that trouble was brewing. You're suspended pending investigation. So *try* to put aside ghey love for the symbol of oppression and think objective; anything that could lead to violence will not be tollerated. School staff who like their jobs do this, ones that don't care don;t and are often gotten rid of.
  10. FWIW, those permit refusals are usually unconstitutional, and usually reversed by the courts (at least once it gets to Federal court). I think many stand, esp with the KKK. But the point is, the local officials are covered if the feds override and something stupid happens. ALl these measures are just an ass-covering maneuver, such as with the principle. You know, negligence vs gross negligence.
  11. Not yet...... FYI See attachment LOL R "sky is falling" Stanley Altho this is good news for those who want to see the US fail, in reality it was bad news. The market fell ~800 points in no time due to external European issues, bonds rose as people were stuffing their $$$ for safe keeping in fear of a collapse. Then just as the market almost went under 10k, savy investors lurched at the deal and replaced the $$ from the chickens who pulled. In the end, the losers are the ones who gauge the market in 15-minute increments, the winners are the ones who gauge it in months/years. This just shows how strong the market now is, a reflecction of how strong the industrial base has become since your hero left and Obama implemented his policies. If this were 2008, the market would keep going down, just as the GDP was; a weak manufaturing base and economic plan led to a 14k to 6.5k freefall. Still say the market is oversold? As I said, clammer that nonsense for enough months and years and as they say, "A stopped clock is right twice a day." As much as you hate it, the US is far more stble under Obama's policies, today is proof; a European mess started to affect us, then was averted. Be patient, one of these nuts will succeed in blowing something up and you can blame Obama, just be patient, your goal of US loss will eventually come and then you can crack the champagne. Some outlets are now reporting that the big plunge was due to a trading error. "The Dow suffered its biggest ever intraday point drop, which may have been caused by an erroneous trade entered by a person at a big Wall Street bank, multiple market sources said." Right, I just read that too. Sad day for righties , the sky really isn't falling

  13. Well of course; but that wasn't the point (or implied point) that prompted my responding that way. I'll clarify: You suspend the kid who starts the fight, regardless of race or gender. Allowing one group to not do something because it may be distracting, upsetting, cause issues, etc. just has the potential to breed more resentment. "Dude. I can't believe they won't let us do/wear x. Just cuz those kids got in a fight." Is better than: "WTF. I can't believe we can't do/wear x yet they can just because they're (insert difference)" And to the parents of the innocent bystander(s) hurt/killed in a fight you would say what? Right, as the principle you do what you have to to avoid riot, unrest, etc. Even if you have to so-called trample all over another peson's constitutional rights. Tears can be wept away as pussy is crying because he can't wear his favorite shirt, sometime blood cannot be retained long enough to save someone after a fight/riot. It's very shortsighted to worry about a person's favorite shirt or right to express over life itself. This is why when demonstrations are to be performed, you must get a permit so teh cops can assemble to dissuade violence or rectify it quickly once it happens. Ever wonder why KKK marches are often refused to be permitted? Knowing it could cause a riot, it's safety over expression; sorry that doesn't make sense to you.
  14. All we do is to speculate as to what isn't written. It's likely to me that these guys wouldn't wear a flag t-shirt and/or bandana on any other day, so their exhibition of them this day was more of a, "Fuck Conco De Mayo." Now, should any person have the right to wear a US flag T-shirt into schools? Of course, but if the result is that it could easily instigate a riot, then I say no. If the article read, "California high school principle allows the wearing of US falg bandana on Conco De Mayo, 4 dead." Then it goes on to state how everyone could see tensions rising as these boys were known to utter, "Beaner, wetback" and the likes, and school officials ignored this in light of a person's right to free expression. -- How would you feel then? School staff has the #1 duty to ensure student safety, even moreso than to ensure student learning, so as retarded as this matter sounds, it was the right thing to do. Life in a racially heterogenious society is quite different than in racially homogenious societies and these actions must be doen to avoid a riot. Most people inputting here in a negative light probably consider vo-tech or military tech schools to be academia, they don't understand or care of the origins of this nation and would gladly exchange several young lives for principle. To those I would say that I probably missed you with the explanation here and don't expect you will ever get it.

  16. Not a chance that represents compromise. That was the hard-line, conservative aspect of old-style anti-abortion criminal statutes that were effectively invalidated in Roe v. Wade. Sure it is, how is the whole list of things not compromise? Wasn't the list more like abortions illegal except: - Rape - Incest - Mother's medical That is such a crock to have the 1st two, as a fetus conceived as a result of rape or incest is still a human to be, using their logic. I think the old school list stupidly comprised all 3. But it will never happen, I was illustrating if we had common sense in legislation.
  17. That's what you said about HC. Oh, like the tax cuts your party shoved down our throats via reconcilliation in the GWB years? Yeaaaaaaaaa, riiiiiight. Keep pretending that your party has a chance until they acknowledge America thinks they suck. All this BS does is to ensure that the young vote keeps coming out and registering. BTW, how did those tax cuts workout? No there wasn't or it wouldn't have passed. 34 Dem Representatives voted against while 219 voted for: as I've said, not bad guys - just bad at math . Hell, why do anything while the R's are shooting themsleves in the feet? Except move out of the way. Nazizona R's need a big hug/kiss from me; thx for ensuring we hold seats in Nov - just keep rallying the Hispanic vote, the minority vote, the young vote, etc. A big SHOUT OUT; I said holla
  18. Wait a minute, as a liberal you're supposed to be lock-stepped like our counterparts and be for everythign supposedly liberal. I'm where you are, mod top left, and am also very against abortion as a principle, for abortion rights as practice. It's ashame that it becomes politicized and people join sides and pull, rather than weigh the issue alone. The very party that often does things that are sociopathic all of the sudden care about abortions, this is due to the convergence between the fiscal GOP good ole boys and the moral right; they have inherent conflict. What should happen to satisfy all parties with equal compromise is: - Single payer HC - Make abortions illegal other than for mother's medical emergency - Gov paid condoms, other BC, tubiligations, vasectomies and mandates fo rsex education in high schools. If it's all about people, which both sides clammer, lefties with HC and abortion with righties, then let's come together and satisfy all with the minor issues being compromised. The only people left out would be the greedy fiscal GOP righties, the LImbaugh-lover types. The moral right would then depart from them and join the left, as this would be the group who are pro-people (anti-abortion and for HC). Do I see it happening? No, because of Roe v Wade, you can't wheel/deal with stare decisis. But look at it, folks, I think all non-sociopaths are for people and to propose 2 simultaneous objectives, no abortion and HC for all, as well as responsible sex education/prevention, it's a win-win-win for all but the Limbaugh types. Right now the moralists are stuck being married to them, but as they see all the gay scandals from the right, I think they throw a disgusted punch to the Repub candidates.
  19. The fetus has been determined not to be a person On the flip side, a prgnant mother wa cited for driving in teh car pool lane, a $600 ticket in Nazixona, her affirmative defense was just what you stated. Guess what? It didn't work, so pregnant women sometimes comprise 2 people, sometimes just one at the whims of the system, so we are both partially right. [Reply] and that is a protection of teh mother's rights issue, Better quit souning Republican, you'll ruin your Libertarian guise. Yes, the 3rd trimester belongs to the baby and the doctor w/o special cause /permission, but the OP didn't exactly say 3rd trimester. [Reply] execution of an innocent people is a gov action thing. I concur. [Beer] [Reply]The gov isn't performing or advocating the abortion, It still doesn't advocate it; do you see clinics out there trying to lure preg women in? They pay for the performance of it just as they would pay for many procedures under access. And many abortions are paid for out of pocket. [Reply]Pretend teh condemned is guilty and everyone knows, the same apply. Yes, but the 3 factors you stated apply whether the condemned is guilty or not, that's all I was saying. And is an abortion, punishment? [Reply]The condemned's victim doesn't know he/she is being executed It's not a better/worse thing, this just makes it clear that CP is retribution, not even simple punishment. The purpose of CP is not the fallacy of deterrence, it's not for anything but Old Testament retribution. [Reply]and besides, the crime was against the state. Right, so the point I was making is that the voctim is unfortunately irrelevant here; the crime is against the state whoc an go balls out to ignore the crime. All I'm saying is to bring the victim in is emotional and not judicial. [Reply]Deterrence is effectuated, if one believes the fallacy of that, whether the condemned actually killed the person or not, guilty or not. Anyone who does is not good at math and reading graphs; no evidence has ever been constantly shown to support deterrence lowering the crime rate. ***To me, execution should be about punishment, as should all "penal" enforcement . That's why they are called "penal" institutions. Not the "reformitentiary.". Not the "deterritentiary." A "penitentiary." Yea, go get em!!!! Kill em all and let god sort em out!!! Fucking kill em all!!! So let me get this straight, if a person kills another, we will show it's wrong to kill by killig that person. When we execute we condone killing humans, whether they did something deserving of it or not. Regardless of this thread, execution is wrong.
  20. The fetus has been determined not to be a person and that is a protection of teh mother's rights issue, execution of an innocent people is a gov action thing. The gov isn't performing or advocating the abortion, the state is performing the execution. Pretend teh condemned is guilty and everyone knows, the same apply. The condemned's victim doesn't know he/she is being executed and besides, the crime was against the state. Deterrence is effectuated, if one believes the fallacy of that, whether the condemned actually killed the person or not, guilty or not.
  21. AKA, I don't really care about innocent people being executed, it's part of thr equation.
  22. Yea, it's a real shame the casualties weren't higher and Obama's response even worse than GWB's with Katrina. Only you could take a mess like this and politicize it in hopes it = negative press for Obama. But thx for showing concerns for the people, animals and ecology involved.
  23. Well, another 122 points, gaining back all but 30 some of the loss, yep, the market is strong in spite of the rest of the world, bad news for conservatives - resume pretending this thread was sarcasm, OP>
