  1. The debt rising from 5.5trillion to 8.5 trillion is just a smoke screen from the liberal treasury. The national budget being over 300 billion in the red as Bush took office to I believe 700 billion in the red one of Bush's years, now at around 300-400 billion in the red is yet another smoke screen from the very government Bush has control of. More aresenic in the drinking water is another lie from the liberal EPA. Cuts in all kinds of areas and redistribution of eductaion funds to Christian schools is yet another ambush from the liberal US government that Bush has control of. 2,500 dead US soldiers in a war that will yield nothing but record Haliburton profits is yet another lie. Post 9/11. throwing 100's of millions at the airlines, yet not requiring they maintain their employees, then denying unemployment extensions was just a fabrication from the left. (As a sidenote, right before 9/11 Bush told employees from American and US Air that he would void their contract if they struck.) Rewriting the 1938 Fair Labor Standards Act was an absolute lie as well. The Overtime Law, rejected for years by most Republican Senators, will cost working people money and require them to work OT for free or lose their job. $3.00 per gallon gas is also just a myth, a delusion. I think your lights are flickering.......
  2. Didn't he ask a wheelchair-bound man why he didn't have the courtesy to stand while speaking? Don't forget him waving to the blind black singer..... brain fart, what's his name.....
  3. Sorry I was 10 I think. Anyway please explain WTC 93 and USS cole...Or can you? 93 WTC occurred 4 weeks after Clinton took office... must be his fault. USS Cole was retaliated against in a 1/2 way, but Clinton could have chosen to be in this mess but instead decided to not murder the debt and 2500 of our own.
  4. Pretty funny there. Kind of shows, though, just how screwed up our political system is anyway.... I'd vote for Condi if she's just break away from being a "Bush Yes-(wo)Man" and stand up for herself. Has she committed political suicide by being so devoted to the present administration? ltdiver I'd vote for Bundy had he not been such a serial killer. We can "iff - n - butt" all day long, but condi IS a yes beotch with twisted values and subserviance to a dictator.......
  5. Unless you claim he cheated on his SATs, you have to accept that his IQ is at least in the 120s range. Speech making ability is unrelated to IQ. On that, how many geniuses have you heard that were captivating talkers? How many of them can't even get a date. True, dictatorial geniuses usually are really smart...... 1 out of 2 aint bad
  6. The, "CONVICT" prompt was for Bush, right? He is the only convict to be elected pres. Sorry, he can't run again.
  7. Of course, appellate courts would consider it moot and dismiss it. Postumous pardon by the criminal in the White House is possible. Actually, the way it technically works is that since he died while his appeal was still pending (and that's the key timing), and his death makes him (obviously) incapable of assisting his attorney with his appeal, his conviction is automatically rendered a nullity - as if it never existed. So no posthumous pardon is needed. His estate still can (and undoubtedly will) be civilly liable for restitution. However, since no civil judgments were entered against him while he was alive, any judgments will probably be only for the amount of the debt itself (plus interest), but not for punitive damages. Yea, I heard that on the radio today. What a farse. The burden lays on the defense to establish some cause for a reversal or a new trial, so I thought the conviction would stand with him dead. Ultimately, there is no end to an appeal on criminla matters. You have unlimited Habeus Corpus.
  8. I'll claim to be one for about 5 minutes. EEEWWWWWWWWWWW, gross, that's takin one for the team.
  9. And Bush denies a lot of things. Truth be told, I think they both deserve credit for the things they have done, good and bad respectively.
  10. Screw the air...it's oxygen that I'm hooked on, from my first breath, I've not been able to let go. Only 21% of the "air" is o2, better go to a hyperbaric chamber
  11. What exactly is "evility?" If you're employing it to mean something bad, and claiming people should disavow association with the creation of the US gfovernment, rather than be proud of it, then I'd really like to hear what system you think is better that our constitutional republic. Evility is something that is evil. As for your prompt to compare us to China or Korea; laughable. Let's compare to Scandinavia or other regions/countries that actually care for their people. I'm not saying we should disavow creatiopn of the US, don;t need to be so extreme, just saying let's recognize slavery Indian schools, women with no rights, land owners being the only votes that count and a myriad of thigs that made the US an evil place at the time of its foundation. Can you disagree with any of the events I stated? Will you compare us to the worst nations and feel justified?
  12. Of course, appellate courts would consider it moot and dismiss it. Postumous pardon by the criminal in the White House is possible.
  13. Seriously.... never thought of that. but it is valid. Now Schilling is saying, "Damnit, I shoulda thought of that."
  14. That is the expected answer that Christians will disavow that Christianity drove the evility that was the founding of this country. Thruth is, Christianity had a huge role in the foundation of thsi country.
  15. I'd call this a definition of modern conservatism. But does anyone here remember what we USED to call it? Naziism? Probably liberalism or Socialism. The Repubs speak and write from convenience. If it seems right to throw out something about socialism being evil, yet prescribing what is essentially Socialism under the guise of conservatism, they'll do it and refuse to discuss it. Welcome to America....
  16. To understand flag burning, I think we should revisit the Boston Tea Party. The peotestors didn't hate tea, they hated the taxation that went along with it. The American flag burners, to my understanding, don't hate America, they hate what it does as it exploits and kills aother people and its own.
  17. Do you realize how difficult it is to resist a "half mast" joke??!?!?!? Ooops. Or stand and salute!
  18. All those flag halter tops & Tshirt; those hats with obvious flag designs; flag pillows & towels -- that's generally desecrating the flag. Wendy W. I have American Flag pajamas and I don't consider myself un-Patriotic. The important, "I don't consider ..." I think America is more wrong than right these days, I served in the military and I consider myself to be a patriotic American. See, it's all subjective.
  19. All those flag halter tops & Tshirt; those hats with obvious flag designs; flag pillows & towels -- that's generally desecrating the flag. Wendy W. Window and bumper stickers too..... I bet many flag wavers have those...
  20. So? Should speech be restricted just because someone finds it "hateful"? Do people have a right not to be hated? They have the right to the "pursuit of happiness." I read that to mean they have the right not to be hated. Hating the flag does not equal hating people who love the flag...... nice try. I have no requirement to tender your feelings when I decide how I feel about the flag or America.
  21. But then how can the politician go on the campaign trail and simultaneously CLAIM that he tried to protect the flag (initiating the vote) and also protected free speech (by voting against his own proposal). What a waste of time. Neal - I suspect calling flag burning "hate speech" would depend on the context of the act, not the act itself..... As well as hating the people who love the flag, which is extreeeeeeeeeeeeeemely vicarious. It is possible to hate the flag and what it repesents w/o hating the people who love the flag. Again, people w/o a real argument stretch to using abstract argument.
  22. So? Should speech be restricted just because someone finds it "hateful"? Do people have a right not to be hated? He looks at it as dropping the N-bomb. The problem with that is that conventionally hate speech must be directed at a minoroty of the population.
  23. Any entepreneurs out there? American flag toilet paper.... you could be a millionaire....
  24. The judges usually side with prosecutors in their conviction, so the standard lowers. Much more than that. It examines things like jury instructions, jury selction, bias, new evidence, etc.... Don't oversimplify it. This case will have no new revolation as far as a new trial, the defendant has been murdered by the state so it's a moot point. They have immunity from virtually every crime. It may not be spelled out, but it's there - judges love them both. This is the 1st time i've read a cop write this.... very true.
