Why are you guys bouncing around here as if I support Communism? Show me once where I have? Communism sucks, just like gross, elitist-run American Capitalism sucks. Only our wall is just about to fall and it will be ugly, like the USSR's. >>>>>>>>>>>>>Communsim and socialism tend to go hand in hand. This is where you show us how much you know. Communism = The gov controls the means of production Socialism = The people control the means of production So are you saying Canada is Communist? One of the components of Communism is Utilitarianism, which is where, "The most good for the most people." Utlitarianism opposses individual rights, the concept the US was supposedly founded upon. I think we know that isn't true. Most contries in Western Europe are Socialist, are you saying they are Communist, such as Socialist Germany? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You can argue the philosophical differences between the two all day, but in the end, they both suck! Or you can say that Socialism sucks and is just like Communism, but you just can't support it via example. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Corporations and special interests have far to much influence in the US, that is true, and should be changed. Yes, that is the rub behind Capitalism, the elite control the market, leading to the messes we have seen over the last 2 + decades. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I simply do not believe that socialism is the fix. And teh fix is more pleading with corporations to be nice and continue to run our government from the boardroom? >>>>>>>>>>>>>.Our system of government, as originally designed by the founding fathers, is the greatest system that has ever existed in my opinion. Yea, esp the part about freedoms, etc...... then go home and fuck your slaves.... the document was shoddy and written by thieves, murderers and rapists..... even if they were the gentlement of their day.

Atheism is simply non-belief in god. It can be a passive non-belief or an active belief that there is no god. One does not need to even consider the concept of god in order to be an atheist. Atheism is the null hypothesis of humans. Right, but you can't be an atheist and be on the fence, you definately believe there is no god....that was my point.

>>>>>>>>>>>>The scary part is you are a police officer.... You can't be surprised ......

Ryan - would you point to anything that supports your assertion? Atlho' really I'm honestly more curious as to what was the underlying thinking process that prompted you to state that conclusion. What was it? How did you get from my words to your conclusion? I don't think I know you. ASAIK, we've never met in person nor have we exchanged PMs. I cannot say whether or not or I would "miss you" as I don't know anything more than is in your profile and this single post. What is it about my posts that prompts you to want me to leave? VR/Marg Well, I would miss ya ..... of course you could still rattle their cage from what he thinks is the USSR (he must not have received the memo that the USSR is no more ).

So, you're saying that Communism didn't work, then...cool - maybe now you'll come to your senses on that crap. Show me where I've ever written that Communism works. Yoiu must be in that school that thinks Communism = Socialism. Look at Canada and think that.

Come on man, a Journalism degree. From a guy like you who attended law school looking at Obama, a guy who graduated Magna from an Ivy league law school..... you and I know the deal, I realize you want to support her. Most people couldn't even get into a teir 4 law school and you did that or better, as well as Obama a high tier 1 school and Magna!!!!!! Then to teach Const law for 12 years too..... she's a basketball player, beauty queen 3rd placer, homemaker, soccer mom - he's a professional lawyer, brilliant guy. Nothing against her, I'm sure she's a fine mother, but she is not presidential material and she's 1 cardiak afterload away from being there, 1 cancerous mole from being there. >>>>>>>>>>>>>Okay. So she's not "uneducated." She is "educated" just not as educated. She's barely educated. She bounced from community college to another to university and eeked out a Journalism degree. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I can agree with and accept that. But calling her "uneducated" is something with which no objective person would agree. OK, so fine, but she has little education for an office for which she is running. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Calling her "inexperienced" is similarly objectively disproveable. She's got experience in government. How about, "She lacks the sort of experience that I would like to seefrom a person who may ascend to the presidency, such as foreign policy experience." Now we're getting semantic. Please answer: do you think being mayor of a town of 7000 is worthy of mentioning as experience to be a president one day, second in the line of succession? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I know how difficult it is to get a teaching gig in a law school. But on the other hand, it is much easier to get an adjunct position. Hell, how about graduating magna from an ivy league school? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.This does not discredit what Biden did. But he is knowledgeable enough in Constitutional law to land a gig with it and make it last 18 years. Good on him. Do you mean Obama? He taught 12 years. Not sure if we're on the same page.

Yes, I can admit I made an error in stating that Sen. Obama had only been in the US Senate for 2 years. While Sen. Obama tipped his hat into the ring, in 1997, Gov. Palin tipped hers in 1992. You can belittle local politics all you want, being a mayor is harder than being a Senator any day of the week...especially a US Senator.... Being a mayor of a town of 6300 or 700 is a joke. I've lived in a town of 50k before and it's non-existent. Hell, being a mayor of a town of 7k is like being on an HOA board . As well, Obama was teaching at a law school and working with other organizations while he was a state senator, so Obama's contributions / achievements are much greater. I just have a hard time thinking that being a mayor of 7000 people gets you ready for a presidency.

FEDERAL LAWS TRUMP STATE LAWS, states must meet or exceed fed standards. For example, many states have min wage laws that are above fed mins, as in California, states cannot fall below that, period. This is really elementary stuff my friend. What part of "at will" do you NOT understand? We'll try to explain it to you. He's right - you're wrong. What part of federal laws preside over state laws don't you understand? I'm right, he's wrong/you're wrong.

Bush ordering the printing of new currency to pay neo-con debt

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If the answers to the questions are "yes", then guess what - she qualifies. Whether or not she is a good choice is the argument. When we say/write in conversation that she is or is not qualified, we are not speaking in the sense that she meets all federal requirements of a pulse, etc, we are refering to her substantive qualifications. The funny thing is that you refuse to address that long post where I compiled a resume of Obama's vs Palin's and yet you still say she is more qualified. More weird is that they are running for different positions, but the right, in order to distract from McCain, is using her. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Funny how people keep bringing up Palin in reference to the Presidency - fun to watch them scramble for the latest smears. We are responding to it, look who initiates it. If we didn't respond, it would be viewed as an acquiescense. -

I get the good ole Texas boys mixed up . >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Um... no. I didn't mention anything about Obama's experience until you brought it up - try again. I didn't say you did, I referred to Gawain stating such. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..5 years is 5 years, dude - stop whining. And I was dog catcher for a week, I'm ready like Palin is -
The Catholic church has its problems. One thing you need to understand about Chrisianity. You don't get in by presenting an "I am sinless" card. In our faith there was only one card carrier. If a pedophile finds his way into the priesthood, it's abominable, but it needs to be dealt with, just the same as if, say, a college professor or elementary school teacher uses their position to get sex. I understand your disdain for Christians, but why the constant attacks? I'd never lump you into the same group as Debra Lafave. College professors who bang grown women are "abominable" and on par with pedophiles because the grown women are also their students... you are putting moral compass repair men out of business owning such a finely tuned instrument. Brings a whole new use for the terms: - sliding scale - grading on a curve College professors who score on their students rule

What you guys won't admit is that there is approximately the same rate of homosexuality, pedophilia, murder, etc in the church/Christianity as there is outside.

Correction, please: As per my today's newspaper, it's 7000+ .... which makes a significant difference Oh, well, I stand corrected . I used the Wikipedia source. Maybe they increased their inbreeding up there and population boomed 700 more. -

Can't we have an issue that is released in stages: first Reagan, then GHWB, then for the final release, GWB. Maybe some coins that clog vending machines. -
Did you see the pilot chute in tow? Could it be that you were unstable/head down when you tossed? I've never done that, but it seems the pilot chute, if in tow, would create enough drag to keep you belly to earth, like a tandem drogue chute. Crazy shit man! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger..... go buy a lottery ticket

As far as I can tell, you don't understand the difference between Socialism and Communism. Also, as far as I can tell, you and/or I could not hold the proverbial jockstrap of nerdgirl when it comes to intelect and worldliness. >>>>>>>>>>>>>Maybe you would both be happier living in the USSR I would like to visit Russia, perhaps live there if I liked it - I hear they've come a long way. But in case you haven't read, the USSR is no longer; it's been dissolved around the time of the falling of the Berlin Wall.....perhaps you don't keep up with news, it was kinda obscure. What nation would I have the US model themselves after? I dunno, I don't think we need to follow 1 nation, but to assimulate to something like Canada would be a good start. A quasi-Capitalist/Socialist system is in order and will probably come, it just takes forever to do the obvious. We see a free market that is controlled by the elite doesn't work, so government control is comming since your corrput corps aren't working.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I care less if it was 2 years or 3 years (elected Nov '04) - he's still a first term US Senator. Given all the bills he's authored, I'm sure it was oversight on Gawain's part. So your little, "I caught you" strawman IS a fabrication for the defense of Gawain. Now I understand. As well, it shows a lack of understanding to not be aware of these facts. As well Gawain strongly infered that Obama had no other experience, I posted a resume of him and Palin and, well, she was making key free throws and he was teaching constitutional law at a law school. He was doing work with inner-city youth and she was entering beauty pageants. So Gawain was trying to grossly mitigate Obama's experience by curtailing his resume and expanding hers. BTW, it (Obama's current tennure) has to be 1 year 8 months, or 3 years 8 months, which of course it is the latter. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Obama became an Illinois state Senator in 1997. Palin was elected to the city council of Wasilia in 1992. Looks like a 5 year difference to me, but they may teach different math nowadays at Pravda State Elementary. Oh, so mayor of a town of 6300 is what you consider worthy of leadership to govern a country of over 300,000,000? Yea, great earmark for which to begin her experience. Shall we talk about her performance and success there? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Link my post saying that. I can't, you deleted them. -
Really sad my friend, best wishes for all your family and all affected.

Except for that whole bit about the Federal Reserve being an independent entity under CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT. Whups. Who blamed the federal reserve, I'm talking failed tax and other policy from your 3 heroes. Can you argue that? If you have an argument that the reserve created this mess, I'd love to hear it, but I didn't bring one in, so don;t hold me accountable to your strawman. Maybe you should re-read your title there, bud, as well as snip in my op....you're caught out, don't try and spin it. Don't take a joke and act as though I was serious that anyone could/would ordder the printing of a trillion $ bill. If you want to ty to, 'catch' me then go find a serious thread. As for the neo-con debt machine, of course, can you disagree? Is this whole, "caught" thing part of your wag the dog fabrication to mask me catching Gawain stating that Obama has beena US Senator for only 2 years? And that Palin has been in office 5 years more than Obama, when Obama has beeen a state senator 8 years before that? Or is this thread of fabricating a, "caught" scenario about me claiming that cops in your state, Texas, forcibly drawing blood on DUI suspects, you adamantly denying it andsaying, "my wife's a cop, I would know." Then me citing appellate cases where it had been recently done in Texas and then you going back and deleting threads? Where is your caught scenario? Illustrate it with direct quotes, not your inferrences. -

No. (I am) We are not interested in those single battles, it's the result that matters in the end. You and I will have no influence on that. Well, I get a vote, but as you say, that means nothing.
