Forget the whole Cheney-Halliburton no-bid fiasco
Lucky... replied to livendive's topic in Speakers Corner
- Reagan, Bush, Bush = climbing debt increase / haywire budget - Clinton = shrinking debt increase / balanced budget Who's plan works the best? It's only been 28 years, do we need 4 or 8 more to be sure the neo-con plan sucks? What do we need, 15, 18, 20 trillion dollars in debt? When are ya happy? You tell me, Anvil, and we'll set the debt there so we can start fixing it. -
OK, so your assertion is that both Bill Clinton and McCain are crooks? OK, that doersn't bode well for your guy this time around.....glad you've come around.
-
Where do you guys get your ill info? Gawain thought that too, he's been in the US Senate for 3 years 8 months. It the Ill State Senate for 8 years. Bye-bye - go misinform in another thread.
-
I think lawrocket referred to the Dems and their feeling-hurting machine, looks like we have company
-
70% of teh people in his state say he should go to the debate. I smell chicken
-
Prepare for the debate? These are simple questions, if McCain doesn't know the answers by age 72 or 73, he never will. I say go to Washington, place votes then go to the debate. I dunno where the debate is, but hold it in Washington.
-
Any chance to duck out. Right now teh financial crisis is huge and doesn't favor the R's, so this is a political move. If the war was at the forefront, you might see Obama do the same thing.
-
Irony score 10/10 It sure the fuck is............ Who cares about the scandal in the respect of the criminals? You see, that's the defunct Republican agenda: throw the criminlas in jail, if they're close to the president, immunize them, and then it's business as usual. The problem is the game, hate the game not the player. The game, as in the American Capitalistic system breeds this kind of scum, isn't it obvious after Enron, tech boom/bust, mortgage meltdown just to name some? But the Republicans want to distract the fact that the system doesn't work, so they go after these guys and sometimes find a way to immunize them if these guys are in favor. Same with Iraq, going over there and killing Hussein was meaningless. Just as killing OBL would be too if/when we ever do that. Substantivley, we had to fix shortcommings at the ports to avoid more terrorist attacks. The game over there is revenge, retribution, a way to shovel money to Haliburton, etc.... The work done here via our TSA is prevention and it seems Republicans are more about the former than the latter, as these fiscal nightmares keep repeating themselves.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080924/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_freddie_mac_1 Freddie Mac paid 15K a month to McCain aide's firm The lobbying firm of John McCain's campaign manager was paid $15,000 a month for several years until last month by one of two housing companies taken over by the federal government, a person familiar with the financial arrangement said Tuesday night. Lovely, why is this as surprising as the comming out of Clay Aiken?
-
And the sun goes down at night. So? whats your point? Do you care? I dont and I like his music. Easier to listen to him than the Dixie Chics Chill man, just a funny distraction from all this political fighting..... relax.....now, back to the fighting.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>One does not make friends or allies by calling them idiots. Spare me, calling Bush an idiot doesn't matter. One does not make friends by sugarcoating the truth.... or do they? I'm not in it for friends. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I'm not a Republican because I don't agree with their policies. Then why are you a Republican? Gotcha counselor. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I'm not a Democrat because I don't agree with their policies and because they are not only intolerant of those who disagree, but are uniquely insulting, condescending and self-aggrandizing about it. Yes I know, you have no problem thinking of poor people w/o medical insurance, food or other luxuries that were meant for people of priv. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Take a look at the factors. Red states tend to be more agreeable and consciencious, while blue states tend to be open and neurotic. First, this is from teh Wall Street journal, so let's keep that in mind.....Lush Rimjob's favorite. As for conscientiousness, look who's 51; Alaska, your girl's home. As for the rest, there isn't a definite trend, kinda hit-n-miss. Agreeableness; whatever that is, Alaska, home of your girl is last again. WTF is agreeableness? IS it being lock-stepped, as with Libertarians/Republicans? If so, I agree. But isn't it just like a Republican to worry about personality? I'm so much more worried about trivialities like the debt, the mortgage meltdown, the Iraq War and other teeny issues. I can't wait to grow up to be a Republican, err, I mean a Libertarian so I can worry about people's personalities. See, Amazon posted a demographic about IQ, something that is relevant to decision-making, then you reply with a page about personalities???? WTF counselor? >>>>>>>>>>>>>This is actually something we see here. Right-wingers tend to be self-disciplined (farmers have to be). You would say thjat, you are one. I think most are lazy selfish assholes that would rather see a person die than to have their precious taxes raised 10 cents. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..They tend to be rather nice, too (as opposed to egotistical). You would say that, you are one. I thinkmost are arrogant pricks that relish in tehir wealth if they have it, practice class separation if they don't. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>And yet, the blue belt tends to drive neuroses (I know I am better than I am). Being neurotic doesn't mean to be arrogant, it means to have a nercous disorder as in anxious. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/neuroses Any of various mental or emotional disorders, such as hypochondria or neurasthenia, arising from no apparent organic lesion or change and involving symptoms such as insecurity, anxiety, depression, and irrational fears, but without psychotic symptoms such as delusions or hallucinations. No longer in scientific use. You're kind of supporting Amazon's page by pandering to people dumb enough to buy your definition of neurotic/neuroses. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Note - the closest thing to a religious republic is Utah. Note how it is highly extroverted, with highly agreeable people, highly conscientious people, the least neurotic, and very open. If they could just stop fucking their familiy members they would have the whole thing nailed. Wall Street journal...... a bunch of back-slapping LImbaughs....... what a source. I wonder where compassionate went..... oh yea, duh, we're talking Wall Street Journal here

Look at their recent choices: Reagan, never was that bright and he was senile at least the last 1/2 of his 8 years. GWB is proud of his stupidity. Hell, there's even a calendar about his stupid blunders (Bushisms).
-
Want to check the IQ rates in red states v blue states??? http://chrisevans3d.com/files/iq.htm The dumb as dirt and proud of it crowd wallow in their stupidity.. and god forbid they should believe someone they vote for might be brighter than them So you're saying that Oregon which is ranked #24 on the list, is just as dumb as dirt and proud of it as the other states? Stats work in trends, groupings and yield probability. There can be 1 or 4 straglers, and teh inferrential point is made. Not to mention, that was 2004, Iowa is now blue per the polls and the others in the middel are on the bubble. There is a real trend exhibited. Texas is 11th from the bottom....what a shocker.

Woaw! This is bigger news that Clay Aiken is gay
-
Big F'in deal. I do wonder what Palin would say. Will he burn in hell? For sure, I just posted it as fun, obvious tho. Yea, leave it to the Naziette, she would have him burning at the cross.
-
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080924/en_nm/us_aiken_1 Clay Aiken to reveal he is gay
-
The problem was that the prosecutor didn't make, or appears he didn't make the debt restitution, which is considered BK-proof. It was probably just an agreement to repay - that's my guess.
-
And they are a big part of it. As is Greenspan I agree, why did Bush not fire him as he saw the lowering would cause a mess? Oh, he didn't know, he doesn't know shit about finance? What a surprise and you think Palin is well-qualified?
-
In other words agree with you Your funny, blinded but funny You told us to open our eyes, I said to show us the way..... show us the way Rushy
-
The lowering of the rates was a key too. I guess that brings in Greenspan and Bush for allowing it rather than firing him.
-
Rush..... you blowin a fuse?
-
the only reason I would think of getting angry is when people try and put words in other peoples mouths. And also make shit generalization type bull shit comments like this that have no backing are are just a stupid emotional response to loosing the white house two times in a row. The nuttiness will be bigger if/when Obama looses cause he cant loose, the election of Obama can only be stolen What words in who's mouth? Generalizations? Like the ones where you insist there must be a bunch of dems in this mess that conspirred along with the R's? Again, why so angry? Bad timing? This will certainly wake up any fence-riders to see the McSame disaster comming.
-
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I am SURE the other party has its dirtly players too. There is now way that the Dems could keep something of this scale going without in bed help from the other side. I am just waiting to see who is the biggest player in this. Pure conjecture. You hate the dems, we know that. Now establish via evidence that some Dems profited and conspired with this mess and then establish what percentage of these were dems if at all.
-
Partly, if they broke a law then they should go to jail, if they broke the share holders trust, then the free market and market forces should deal with them. I agree they were scum, I dont agree the gov should get involved if no law is broken This is not about the law, this is about corprate ethics, the oxymoron. Point is, these CEO's would snake what they can until the light is on them.
-
I am not confused and I dont agree with some of this. The labor union post is not even related here...... I dont think if the gov bails out the institutions they (the gov) should have any control, they should just keep and eye on the reporting of the balance sheet. The gov can not control. It can, as it proves over and over, only corupt. It has to do with controls at opposite ends. It very much has a common denominator.
