So much for those equal rights for everyone. That's already in play I believe, hardly used. No, only those that want representation will get it, the union doesn't recognoze non-members unless they want to join.

No fantasy prevailed. Obama's metamorphosis of of the United States had taken place. He changed the Constitution and was elected over and over. Through his czars, we began living as a third-world outhouse with no borders, no English, and a civil war between Hispanic Catholics and an exploding Muslim population in 2029. Of course that was a result of ACORN acquiring the weapons of the 2d Armored Division after total disarmament. Independent voters had long been rounded up, but those in hiding longed for the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, and the Wizard of Oz. Sadly, all the books and tapes had been burned by the Departmant of Homeland Security. When I woke up. There was a large bull elk pissing on my backpack. Since guns and knives had been banned, I reached into my pants for my favorite ferrot. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH , the sky is falling

Nothing Lucky said should be translated to believing that unemployment is a valid reason to kill. He's correctly saying that people can fall to despair. The fictional character would have been pretty common in LA in the early 90s. A lot of people there lost out in the Peace Dividend - a high school buddy's entire family ended up relocated to Utah as things dried up. Throw in a wife leaving, and a person that wraps up their identity in their work or their ability to make a living and you have an unhappy person. You can feel for that, while not defending the actions he might commit. This person simmered for two years, and suddenly does it now? Anyone else wonder if he's a copycat loser following yesterday's news? Exactly. Employment is only 1 cog in the wheel, I think DR divorce laws/child custody norms suck and I have never been affected by them. I'm just saying that this is a phenomenon and if we just say, "crazy fucker' and fail to understand it and adjust for it then we're doomed to repeat, which we do and it's in part societies fault for not understanding it.

Only half interesting - CA was tops with 21 shootings in the time period, but that's hardly a shock given it's the largest state in the union. That Florida was next at 20 might be interesting, though it too is certainly one of the bigger states. The article you cite was written by those desiring a Gun Free America, and it's pretty clear from their writing that bias can be presumed. I just saw it refered to cal and fl as leaders, I wasn;t making an argument about anything. It probably is true, but rate is the key, not numbers, I agree.

Says Mr. no PA's 1 and done by lunch Stupid premise....wow, how do I comprehend that clinical language....he's a stuopid pottyhead, poo-poo man. The movie ws based upon a very real premise based upon very real actions in our society. Here, I have to educate you again (I should get paid): http://www.cdc.gov/Women/pubs/violence.htm Among females, approximately 1 in 3 homicides are intimate partner homicides. Homicide is among the six leading causes of death for persons aged 1-44 years and accounts for approximately 18,000 deaths annually in the United States. The majority of homicides are committed by persons known to the victim.

You're lumping a lot of people in your distorted view. I never thought that for a second, nor do I now. He has mental issues dealing with life. Period. Unjustified murder accomplishes nothing...although he won't have to worry about employment now. I said, just as we thought, based upon our conversations here today, the conscensus was that he was fired and tehn returned; did you think otherwise? If so you were wrong. Regardless of mental issues, his motive was that h was fired whetehr justified or not.

Now you're being abstract. How a about a happy medium where we instill a federal law requiring 30 days vacation, as with W.E.; they get between 30 days and 9 weeks based upon the country. Then we enable unionization even if only part of a shop wants to be union. And yes, we have the ability to organize here, but it is so fraught with blockers, it should be centralized and made to be easy and sure.

New unemployment claims lowest since January
Lucky... replied to Lucky...'s topic in Speakers Corner
So that they'll move the whole operation overseas to stay solvent - brilliant idea!!! No they won't! I can't name all of the European and Austrlain corps who base here for teh low taxes and virtual employer immunity. We can raise taxes and still be more attractive than other countries that actually provide employee protections. -
Um, yeah, ok - seeing as how you throw around accusations of being a bush supporter at those who don't agree with you like beads for a mardi gras float, I think I'm going to take this one with a LARGE grain of salt. I'd rather call some a dick, but that isn't good for longevity here. My point is that I don't care what people call me or say otherwise, just that in their drive to do this, DON'T FORGET TO ANSWER THE ISSUES AND SUPPORT THEIR ASSERTIONS WITH SOMETHING OTHER THAN HANNITY, LIMBAUGH, NEWSMAX, ETC. Call me a fuck, I don't care, just quit dodging, running , misidrecting and asmwer teh fucking question with support other than - My didy did it that way and it worked for him.

You showed a chart with no origin. Your refusal to post it makes clear that you have a reason not to. BDashe wrote: ...though I believe I was told we'd level at 8% unemployment by throwing rich people's and china's money at all the problems... Me 1) He took office the month it was 8.2%. ME Please show me where he said we wouldn’t go past 8%. MIKE: No, by the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisors for Obama's administration - Christine Romer. She and Jared Bernstein created a nifty little report called "The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan" - you know, the stimulus bill. It had this nifty little chart in it, showing the unemployment rates with/without the stimulus bill ______________________________ Altho I wish you weren't so coy and you would post the parent page for that chart, the question was and is: TELL ME WHERE OABAM SAID UNEMP WOULDN'T GO PAST 8%. I see you've backed off that by you saying: No, by the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisors for Obama's The lie going around is that Obama laid some promise where he allegedly said that unemp wouldn't go past 8%, APPARENTLY BEFOE HE WAS PRESIDENT, howevere, since unemp was 8.2% in Jan 09, I don;t see how that's possible. Posting a chart from someone else showing what the stimulus may have done for jobs monmths after the fact isn't the same as Obama making a prediction, promise or anything like that. 1) That wasn't the issue in any way, this was about an alleged promise that unemp wouldn't exceed 8% before election, at the oath or some time that the RW lie media started this. 2) Whatever impact the stimulus had on jobs is probably true, but you haven't established a promise to not let them exceed 8% or posted a parent page for your chart - you must be proud of it.

No they won't. Take a look at Table S-5, the second line under "Adjustments to reflect current policies Right and Bush's tax cuts will expire at the end of 2010: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=6621 All the 2001 tax cuts are set to expire at the end of 2010 unless Congress acts to extend them. So your budget is for 2010, the tax cuts will expire at the end of 2010 or first of 2011. Here's a better one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Growth_and_Tax_Relief_Reconciliation_Act_of_2001 One of the most notable characteristics of EGTRRA is that its provisions are designed to sunset, or revert to the provisions that were in effect before it was passed. EGTRRA will sunset on January 1, 2011 unless further legislation is enacted to make its changes permanent.

And you can control that with tariffs and taxes for American based corps using foreign labor. But the rate wouldn't change by that process if workers rules/rights as the 1938 FLSA that Bush murdered as well as tweaks each president unilatterally does to the US Dept of Labor. Tell me how W.E. gives workers more rights and is still able to produce products. Sure, but we are much closer to employer free-run than we are to worker's rights. Here's an interesting factoid: http://www.dvinitiative.com/resources/wpstats_gunsinworkplace.asp California and Florida were the most dangerous states when it comes to workplace shootings

No, by the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisors for Obama's administration - Christine Romer. She and Jared Bernstein created a nifty little report called "The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan" - you know, the stimulus bill. It had this nifty little chart in it, showing the unemployment rates with/without the stimulus bill. Here's a link to their chart, with actual unemployment numbers plotted. I'm sure it's easy to get confused about stuff like this, especially when you count people getting a raise as a 'job saved'. I understand it's hard for you to actually answer the question asked. Altho you did post a source, you didn't post the parent page so I can understand the context and author - baby steps. So please: - Post the parent page - Answer when Clinon claimed he would keeep unemp < 8%; that was the originating question.

They caught him as he went to his mom's and turned himself in. The media was interviewing him as the cops were taking him in. They asked him why he did it and he replied, "They left me to rot." Reportedly he was fired for performance issues 2 years ago. So he felt his termination was unjustified, just as we all kind of thought. That doesn't justify his action in any way, but getting fired and then not being able to get a job are his reasons. We will never know if he was dead weight or if he was railroaded.
-
Not that there's anything wrong with that; but I'll pass. Perhaps it's better like this: I bet if we polled 1000 males. Statistically, I imagine roughly 96% of those polled would say they'd rather not be poled. .....
-
Did he say that? Basically, if you don't want to be PA's, vieled or otherwise, don't carry yourself that way. It's like a gangbanger whining he has been shot.
-
Most make inferences, but it's fun to watch those who issue veiled PA's all of the sudden get offended. Truth is, they're stuck in the argument, so they look for spelling errors, veiled PA's, etc. No one PA's you, as you don't argue that way. Most people who get PA'd via veiled insults are teh ones who also issue the same. Some peolpe argue on a strict level that has no PA's, some use veiled PA's and others gross PA's, but the important thing is that we get to some substance in the issue.
-
The diff is that I define mine in detail, you just, "wow" yours, as if you're at a deficit as for what to say. Not even close. The difference is in your world insults are beneficial. In mine they're detrimental. I talk substance, you talk rhetoric; that's the stark diffrence.

I’m so sorry, you must have misunderstood the question, let me try again: Please, oh please tell me what he did to contribe, cause or in any way be responsible for any part of the economic mess. Please be specific and then tell me what he should have done. What by his admin and the stimulus? This is a scattered thought - put it together pls. The lower 50% of all filers collectively pay < 3% of the total tax bill, so their taxes are irrelevant anyway. BTW, that’s 33k gross adjusted, So we’re talking about most people on this board or people just barely over that line. Yes, taxes will increase in 2 ways: 1) Bush’s tax cuts will expire in 2010. 2) There will be additional taxes for those making > 250k/yr. If we do a Hoover and lower taxes / ignore this mess, we will have what Hoover had - 12 mill dead, of course since we have a much bigger population, that would be more like 30 mill+. 1 way to pay for this is to cut our military in ½ so we are only 4 times the spenders of #2. Ok, it’s our mess and what? You didn’t finish your point. Please show me where he said we wouldn’t go past 8%. Oh, like, “They have WMD’s in them there hills….leading to set of wars that have cost almost 5k lives and > $1T. But I don’t see you bitching about that.
-
Here we go with the conservative rheotoric. I'm referring to the US, you the world, but you have to exaggerate to *attempt* to make a point. And we don't have to employ anyone, we have to balance the playing field. Keyword here: Simply. I've read plenty, quit trying to backpedddal from your beliefs; wear them like a bdage.

Caught him.
-
Bullshit. You'd have to define things very, very narrowly for that to be true. Wendy P. Industrialized nations, not all nations. Oh yea, we are waaaaay down there.
