Skysurfer_Rob replied to Skysurfer_Rob's topic in Speakers Corner
This is freakin funny... He figured out a way for his training to work for him on the outside of law enforcement. "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death, I Shall Fear No Evil...For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing." SR-71 hangar entrance sign at Kadena AFB, Japan -

Marijuana lowers sperm count. Lower sperm count = fewer stupid people reproducing Fewer stupid people reproducing = fewer stupid children in the world Fewer stupid children in the world = fewer stupid people reproducing It's the perfect cycle to ending stupidity in the world hehe "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death, I Shall Fear No Evil...For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing." I think if the right woman were to run, I would vote for her. I would consider voting for Condoleza Rice (spell?) if she were to run. Black, White, man or woman...doesn't really matter to me. I will vote for them as long as they share the same values and desires I have for this country, and have the leadership mentality to get us there. I believe my generation is more open, than past generations, to this way of thinking. I didn't even think about a Obama/Clark ticket...I would consider voting for them as well. I would really like to see a bipartisan or independant ticket, but I don't see that happening anytime in the near future, unfortunately. Quantum Leap (Sullivan, MO) Re-Opened under New Ownership Yesterday
Skysurfer_Rob replied to kai2k1's topic in The Bonfire
I was wondering about Quantum Leap just the other day...tried looking up the old website, but it had been closed. Glad to hear it's back. I look forward to making it down there sometime this next spring (once I get my license that is, lol). This is how I thought the war started...but I thought I was the only one. Thanks for showing me I'm not alone. "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death, I Shall Fear No Evil...For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing." SR-71 hangar entrance sign at Kadena AFB, Japan

I'm just curious...as it stands right now, how many here would vote for a Clinton/Obama ticket if they were to run together? How many would vote for just one or the other? How many would not even consider a Democrat, no matter what? I realize this does not encompass every available Democrat option, but these to seem to be in the lead at the moment. Two to five miles a day...depending on how tired I am, and how busy the gym is. I don't get the same workout on a treadmil as I do running outside...sucks. Thank you to everyone that replied. I think I have decided what to start working towards...but who knows how it will end. I have researched local colleges and online, and found that Park University (which teaches on base) is probably my best option. They offer classes for $166 per credit hour for military (nine classes a year, paid for by the Air Force) in eight week accelerated semesters. I believe I will work towards Business Administration. From what most people say, that degree can be applied pretty much anywhere, and it will be a good backup in case I am ever force shaped out of the Air Force. Who knows...maybe I will even be able to go officer, once the Air Force figures out just how many people they want around. I am about to complete my associates in Logistics (military degree...mostly for promotion), and am finally trying to decide what I want my BA/S in. I'm not really sure what interests me. I have no idea what I would do if I were to separate from the military right now. I am curious as to what you all have your degrees in? What are the positive aspects of your profession, and what are the negative? I'm hoping to maybe find some inspiration somewhere. I have another semester before my associates is completed, but I want to get a plan down, and follow through with it. I have wasted enough time as it is. Thanks to anyone that replies. I will be working 26 of the next 30. It's not too bad though...our rotation won't be here too much longer, then I'll get two weeks con leave when I get back. Think 30 degrees is too cold to jump? hehe "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death, I Shall Fear No Evil...For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing." SR-71 hangar entrance sign at Kadena AFB, Japan

I bought a 1705 back in August, only problem I've had (minor one at that) is I wish I would have bought a truebright screen. The standard screen isn't great, but it most definitely works. Here are some awesome coupons for Dell, if you spend over the specified amount: http://www.notebookreview.com/dellCoupon.asp Also, check out their reviews on notebooks...pretty good reviews. Then leave if you want to. What is keeping you in that town anyways? Fuck it, go somewhere else. I have found the best remedy for myself it to get out of wherever I am for a while (be it a day, a weekend, or years). Or just do whatever your doing now. "This is good! Thanks! How about a disposable camera? Would that be ok?" Yes, that should be ok...might be able to get some pics of himself and his buddies in Blues. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, tell him not to take ANY candy with him when he leaves. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uh oh, why? If he forgets about it once he actually gets to basic training, and the TI's find it when they do the bag dump, he will get shit for about fifteen minutes. Well...he's going to get shit for fifteen minutes anyways...but that just gives them a reason to pick him out of the crowd of 60 people. When he talks to the recruiter, and MEPS, tell him not to take whatever job they want to give him...stand up for himself until he gets the job he wants, otherwise he might just end up being a plumber in the Air Force. As far as a send off gift...a small box of paper and envelopes to write letters home with, plus some stamps of course. Maybe a phone card that he can use once he gets to tech school. There really isn't much else he will need or be able to use while in training. Also, tell him not to take ANY candy with him when he leaves. Good luck to him, I hope he does well. Normally, I would say to not include military statistics....but they used military air to transport civilians, so I would say that should count. I don't know how many of them were used for civilians though. I can't believe they were flying C-130's 30 some odd years after we stopped selling them parts for the aircraft. Freakin right taser him. If your able to, record the incident...another wonderful video for youtube. If the cop felt that tasering the kid was the proper course of action, then so be it. It didn't kill him, and he probably learned a damn good lesson "LISTEN when a cop tells you to stop attacking women." Congratulations, when do you get to pin on? I'm sure the Navy does it different than the Air Force. "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death, I Shall Fear No Evil...For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing." SR-71 hangar entrance sign at Kadena AFB, Japan
