    The reason I'm saying it becouse I'v seen a lot, apperently more than you did 200jumps... If you had those special, above the average RW and flying skills YOU WOULD NEVER HAD to start this discussion thtread, becouse YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN the ANSWEAR already. But you asked a question about a very basic flying skill, so that justifies you still don't have enough knowledge to fly with the tandem. ...the choice of the canopy isn't a best either... to fly a parachute requires balls, not knowledge. you should get a Velocity-75 (this is just a sarcastic joke!!!)

    It's very cool to see most of you guys are (just a few exceptions) trying to give "flying technique" advice. But this dude has ONLY 200 jumps!!! He has no F#$@ business to fly with the tandem period! I would say go and learn to skydive for at least for 300 more jumps (RelativeWorkshop recommends 500 RW jumps minimum) -Laszlo- www.laszloimage.com ...do you have any problem swooping yor Velocity too?

    Canon's Digital Photo Pro is free from its web site, and it will handle all Canon's RAW files. Basicly you make the adjustments on the RAW file (saturation white balance, sharpness, contrast, and ect.) and then covert it to a JPG, TIFF, or whatever image file. If you don't like the result you can create a different (actually a verry different) looking image as long as you keep your RAW file. -Laszlo- www.laszloimage.com

    Clint, What's up? This is Laci from the Ranch. Dude the XT is the camera to jump. It has 8MP newer generation sensor vs. to the 10D's 6.3MP sensor. Also the XT has all the "PRO" features(pretty much same like the PRO models) what the Digital Rebel didn't have. The 20D or the 30D won't provide better image quality either, they just take more in the given time and they keep going longer as well (...I meant the burst mode) For good pictures you need a good lens and proper settings (mostly manual) ...and of course a good flash too. I recommend the XT and a nice piece of glass (Canon or Sigma 15mm f2.8 for wide angle skydiving photos) 15mm will provide a same view as 24mm on 35mm film. Good luck! -Laci- www.laszloimage.com

    Manual exposure setting to make the sky dark blue, flash (in these cases a powerful one), RAW for better details and color range, and good quality lenses. (15mm Sigma f2.8, Canon 15mm f2.8, and Canon 14mm f2.8) The camaras were only Digital Rebel an Rebel XT. 20D, 30D won't provide a better picture just lot more... But the 5D would! BlueS! -Laszlo-

    I'm using RAW and the difference is unbelievable... Of course it's takes longer to process and requires a bit more understanding of photography but worth it. Personally I'm converting my RAW files with Canon's Digital Photo Pro which is available for free on www.canonusa.com For other photo editings I'm using Ulead's PhotoImact-10 which is very similar to PhotoShop (some aspects even more capable!!!) except lot cheaper only approx. $100 Unfortunately it doesn't run on Macs I hope I helped... -Laszlo- http://www.laszloimage.com/
