I hope they do because the NHL needs it! People here are pissed about the salary cap because our ownership has always done thier best to put a winning team on the ice now thier hands are tied. So for all the markets that could not hold thier own I hope they are happy. It os way to early for you to even start thinking about drinking from Lord Stanleys Cup my dear! Did I mention I love hockey too? ~~~>

As a former Colorado Avalanche season ticket holder, the current team and the team I used to go watch do not resemble each other at all (except for the uniforms). It will be interesting to see how the Denver fans react now that their team isn't as good as it used to be. If they are like Broncos fans, then the Avs will be fine even in tough times. But if they only support a winning team, well then the Avs will be in trouble. Time will tell... Go Habs ... and yes I still kind of sort of still cheer for the Avs even though I feel very distanced from the team since the lockout year (my last year was the one before the lock out) and of course not living in CO also makes it hard to stay connected to the team. PS: I understand the front range is getting some snow today. The media is painting it as a massive blizzard, but when they show pictures I see snow on the sides of the roads, but the major roads appear clear of the white stuff. Is the storm not all that bad, or am I just not seeing the whole story? For the first time since they got here in 95-96 the AVS did not sell out "the can" last week which was the longest sell out streak in NHL history. The AVS are very young this year and they will take some time to gell but without a ROY type netminder they will prolly not be there at the end. As for the snow: At 4:00am this morning there was nothing on the ground by 7 there was at least 4" on the ground and on the street but it is still fairly warm so it melted pretty fast on the streets today. GO AVS ~~~>
