Alright.. so.. we got this shutterfly site so we could share our pics easily.. a cool thing on it is it tells us how many visitors each album gets.. Yup, it's got counters.. Anyway.. recently Lany put up the poster she made for Bonnie for Gravity Gear for her new undies.. and well.. it's kind of surprising how much more interest there is in Lany's butt than in actual skydiving photos.. To put it in perspective.. our most popular album to date is the pictures of the tracking dive we did for Nathan in the freefly gallery.. 286 hits.. That is alot. A typical freefly album gets about 50. Hybrids.. 60. No one goes looking at my tandem pics.. well.. about 20 hits per album, same as RW.. AFF, including the evaluation jumps from last week get about 40 per album.. We have some really good canopy pilots in Byron and about 55 people come each week to see what they have to offer.. under canopy.. And flight machines has been up for 2 months.. total 178 visitors.. What skydivers really do seem to like looking at is the silly stuff we do on the ground.. our around the dz albums get an average of 100 hits each.. But this shot of Lany in Bonnie's undies seems to take the cake.. Now, granted, it is a perfect ass in skimpy panties but.. it went from 15 visitors to 120 in about 6 hours.. on our website.. As most of you know, Kevin Bryan, Q and I all got our AFF ratings in Byron last week. Connie and Vic were awesome in their support and in making it all happen. Stinky Jim Gold (boyfalldown) supplied most of the aerial camera support and Lany was on hand on the ground taking some pics.. Check out the pics under AFF on our website to see pics of all of our Cat C evals as well as Kevin's Cat D. Much fun and a tremendous learning experience. I am not having a shitty day.. of course it is only my fourth day not skydiving this month.. and I got my AFF I rating yesterday.. and I am going skydiving tomorrow.. I got to come to work today to finish up some loose ends.. The first samples for my newest inventions are ready so I got to play with those.. All in all.. I am not having a shitty Friday the 13th.. he brought that same bag of tricks to Byron.. almost got me on my Cat D with the sliding away, continuing to wave off maneuver, I was a little too confident and relaxed by then and missed the reserve side dock and hd to chase it to about 3,900 feet.. I still gave him the pull signal and got him out a split second before his pilot chute cleared the container.. I now have a logbook entry for jump number 1,188 that says.. 3,500.5' signed by him.. For now, though, I'm going to break in my new rating at home.. with my Byron family.. Also.. congratulations to Q and Kevin.. they also worked very hard this week to earn their's.. The Byron crew rocked.. Vic and Connie are unbeleivable int he way they supported us through the process and Jim Gold came through shooting video at no charge for 2 days.. Last but not least.. Jay Stokes is one hell of a teacher.. In 4 days, he transformed us. We have a lot to learn but he moved us quite a ways down that road..

Hey Chad.. Someone earlier in this thread suggested used and I heartily agree.. Although the rig you are considering is an awesome rig, you will probably be wondering why you bought that huge thing 200 jumps from now. And when you go to sell it, you will lose some serious cash on it. I have 2 rigs.. one I bought new and have close to $5k invested in.. I might be able to get $3k for it.. The other I bought used and have about $2k invested in.. I am sure I can get $2k out of it.. why does the resale value matter? If you jump alot, you will outgrow the Pilot 188 quickly, and a smaller canopy will be fine in that rig.. maybe even 2 sizes smaller main will be ok.. but when you are jumping a 150 or a 135 and lugging around a 190 reserve.. you will want a smaller container. If you buy used, you can change gear without alot of financial pain. There is plenty of good used stuff right here in the classifieds. Spend your money wisely.. you got alot of jump tickets and beer to buy.. Jump suit.. since you asked.. I freefly and do video.. tandems, freefly and RW.. For tandems and RW I use a camera jacket and my freefly pants. I would get a 2-piece freefly suit. After you get enough jumps to fly camera, buy a camera jacket to go with it. chopchop gotta go...
