The American Boogie was great.. there was just so much love and good energy.. despite the 100 plus temperatures.. I had some great jumps (19 total) a ball jump, a few hybrids, lotsa freeflying, and even a belly jump in shorts and goggles.. But I have to say the highlight was one moment when I was sitting near the door in the skyvan and looked towards the front and saw all my friends just alughing and enjoying themselves on the ride to altitude.. It made me so happy that I have been spending time at all the dzs in the area and some in other states.. and have gotten to know so many awesome people.. It was like my time in the sport and all those weekends culminated in that moment.. Bet you guys didn't know I was so sappy underneath, huh? chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. does anyone NOT get nervous when they jump?

for me, it depends on what is going on... I can get performance anxiety if it is a planned jump with better jumpers than myself or I can be a little scared if I am jumping with more than one inexperienced jumper on a single jump. Sometimes, I am just so comfortable with what is going on that all I am doing is looking forward to the jump. Then, of course, under canopy, my head is on a swivel the whole way keeping track of anyone that could possibly get in my airspace. Not nervous ahead of time about the canopy ride but I get that way during on occasion.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures -
I prefer an open face with sunglasses and croakies on jumps where I am concerned about contact.. when I am confident in the plan and the other jumpers, just goggles, baby.. I love the freefall helmetless.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

it's my Rodriguez Brother name... I got it because I had my second cutaway in 2 days on my initiation jump. It sucked because it was at Quincy and I lost my main, d-bag, pilot chute, freebag and reserve chute with pop-top (Javelin) in the corn.. worst part.. it all had about 20 jumps on it. chopchop gotta go... feeling the love at the American Boogie was a great weekend 19 for me.. hybrids, ball jumps, raft jumps, belly jumps and freeflying too! yes, i gave her the keys to the BMW.. and she hasn't even pulled out of the parking spot yet and has called twice.. "How do you open the trunk?" and "How do you turn on the A/C?" I felt like I was working a help desk.. ... I'm just guessing here but I think skymama dyed her hair and she used to be a blonde.. so.. I said all that because I am feeling pretty confident she won't see this site again until she is safely back in FL.. don't anyone dare print out this rant and bring it to the boogie! but I am looking forward to my sandwich.
