When i lived in an apartment, my neighbor's friends came over and they all went out. The problem is they left their dog in the apartment and it was making a racket all evening so I decided I woudl take care of the problem. I carefully smeared peanut butter and jelly on some folded paper towels and added potato chips and folded it in half and slipped it under the door. The dog.. one of those kind with the pushed in face, loved it and we could hear it makign all of it's snuffling noises as it ate what it could and smeared the rest all over the walls and carpet.. As a matter of fact, it liked it so much, I fed it another bigger one and that kept it happy. Adn it finlly got quiet.. ok.. I gotta tell this story about my friend Tom.. His wife had this cat for 14 years. The thing was going blind, just laid around all day and would barely get off the porch when it went outside. So one night it stayed out and a couple of the neighbor's pitbulls come down the street and grab hold of the feeble feline and start playing tug-of-war. Tom comes running out naked to break up the fight and takes care of it. By this time half the neighborhood is out looking at naked Tom and his torn-up kitty.. His wife is bawling. So he takes the thing to the vet and they amputate the leg and most of the tail and give it a 50/50 shot at living.. Infections set in and they keep bringing it back for a period of about a month before Tripod finally kicked the bucket. It cost them $7,000, $5,000 of which the neighbor's insurance covered.. and now they have an urn on their mantle with $2,000 worth of kitty ashes in it. Every time Tom looks at it, he gets this pissed-off look in his eyes. But I think Linda will love him forever for trying to save that raggedy old thing. chopchop gotta go... 1 jump with hookitt!:15:0 had a nice weekend in Byron.. not over the top but good.. learned a lot, worked on the swoop course, did my first jump with the most awesome hookitt.. funny how you can be friends so long, go to the same dz, and never jump together.. he's an incredible flier... really enjoyed the 2-way.. Thanks, Tim! Oh, yeah, and on sunset laod on Sunday, we did a formation tracking dive for Boinnie's 2,000th.. King Air and Cessna 206.. 18 way.. it was nice..

I'm a little scared.. first of the pain of everything flapping around and secondly, I just know that that would be the jump I'd do a major sliding tumbling 40 mph landing across Byron's not so soft landing area.. ouch! I only know how to psycho-pack.. 750 or so of my own packjobs. While I did have a couple of packing-related cutaways in my first 100 jumps, they were a result of stupidity and quality of packjob, not type of packjob. I get nice on-heading openings on my Stiletto with no bridle extension.. Actually softer than when I use a packer that pro-packs.
