On commercial airliners the cabin is pressurized between 6-8 thousand feet. This is probably true for the cargo area as well since I have travelled with my dog a few times and he made it through okay.

There's a Women Only forum??

Dude, Beautiful board! Has it seen wax yet? Yep, it might have to make the trip to Eloy... Shark

Jeff, Sounds like a pretty gnarly experience! Glad you made it out okay.
-
Yeah, he's doing pretty good right now, but eager to get back to the dropzone and his new bride. Probably not in that order, though. I heard form him the other day and he mentioned how nice it is to take a crap in Uncle Saddam's solid gold shitter. Now if they only had electricity....

I'll be there.... wanna jump?

James, I concur with what everyone else has mentioned. Check with Chris Fiala. He has a novice package and my do it by individual jump. It is worth it. He's a professional and you will glad you did it. At my level, we will have to break a lot of bad habits. Check the Elsinore website for a link to his site. I will introduce you to him this weekend if you are around. BTW, try and do the H2O training this Friday. Mark

Hey Kerry, Congratulations!! Have fun at the boogie and be safe. Shark

Yeah, our Otter tends to bite sometimes. I know what it's like to fall through the floor. Nice knot on my shin, too.

Kevin, Check's in the mail.... Thanks, Mark

Yeah, what she said!!

Good stuff. Did you fit that into your log book?

Jess, That's awesome! You'll be watching those videos for a very long time, and it keeps getting better. I still go back and look at my old tapes. Since I'm sleepless in SoCal, I'll probably watch this weekend's videos! Keep up the good work! Shark

Has anybody had or witnessed a horseshoe mal?

I recommend that you invest ~$20 on a good fitting pair of goggles. I lost a lens on my level 1 using a pair of ill fitting kroops. Before I left the dropzone I bought a pair Torsan goggles. This is the best piece of safety equipment you can buy. Your vision is essential. Shark AFF-I

I feel deep sadness right now. It really sucks to get news like this. It sucks even worse since I heard at the dropzone. I have never met her, but feel the loss. Blue skies, my friend... Mark

which California dropzome is closest to southern LA?
Shark replied to eyeinthesky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Okay, you can land at the beach at Elsinore; well, not legally. The lake is ~2 miles away. -
I'm happy, too! Poor, but happy! And I'll be much happier when I get to the dz. Lots of 'ing around planned.
-
I believe we have it on the waiver or something to that effect.

Yeah, I had this lawyer as a student and......

Wow, I'm the first?? Beer? Nah... I was taught that if you deploy the pc, get a pc in tow, go through the emergency procedures. The logic being that the reserve may in fact, deploy the main. If you've gone through your emergency procedures the main will release, and not result in a 2 out scenario. This is what I teach my students.

Shark replied to curtismelaniej's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I'll be there.... working, that is, or just 'ing around and stuff. No $ to do the scrambles.
