Well, shit happens. With 12 years in the sport and over 600 jumps is he qualified to jump sub-100 sq. ft. canopy? According to some of the threads he could be. But that's another debate. You are correct, it is a moot point now.

After their currency had lapsed, yes. You see, you are assuming. Being an instructor I do not assuming anything. Just because a student has a perfect arch during the dirt dive doesn't mean they will do it in the air. Just because a level 3 student waves off at 5 doesn't mean he's going to pull. I've had one do a PRCP and go back into FF. I docked and pulled. Never assume.

If I were letting someone I didn't know very well jump my equipment and/or canopy I would point out all the features, or at least ask some questions to ascertain what they know and explain any unfamiliar stuff. I do this with AFF students during gear checks, why not to someone who may not be familiar with the latest technology? He was an older jumper, which probably should have raised some red flags. Certainly, I would have felt some level of responsibility on this one. If I let someone drive my car I also explain all the nuances associated with a complex vehicle. I guess the responsibility goes along with that issue, too. You know what they say about assumptions. Glad nobody got injured.

That's okay. I've talked a student down to a perfect landing, only to find out it wasn't my student! My level 3 student was on another channel and actually had a good pattern and landing.

Like most other streets in PB (Pacific Beach) they are named after gems and precious stones. But you wouldn't know that being land locked and surf twice a year. If you pick me up at the dropzone I'll go surf with you, but at a much nicer place like Lower's. But then again, you won't. Once again you are correct; you are a waste of time. PS. Don't stay too long at work. Unless you are scamming your company.

So, it was only a 15 way rw record, but at least I was on it. You have a long way to go buddy. You are funny though. I bet you cannot name one person here on dz.com who has seen you at a dropzone. BTW, it's "a lot," two fucking words. Learn to spell, then learn to skydive. ...and in case you were wondering, your post was quite entertaining.
