When I was a baby, someone had given me a little ‘tea set’ as a gift and it was one of my favorite toys. Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought Daddy a little cup of ‘tea,’ which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home. from my understanding, there is the soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass, and contrabass sax, with some minor differences in between the classes as well. the one the kid has confuses me a bit, I think it is a bass, but he calls it a contra. What is your favorite instrument in the winds family? I know that my poll does not cover every instrument, but the basic classes of them. Mine would have to be the Euphonium. I enjoy the rich sound that it produces, it is not nasely like the trombone, but still a tenor. When it wants to, it can sound like a tuba, or go to the opposite end of the spectrum and sound like one of them french horns.
