  2. *BARF* I went to shippwreck at the queen mary a couple years ago.. Had a nice buzz going on from dinner. Had that crap in my car, so decided to take a shot, to get me a little more feelin' good. It was so nasty, It somehow sobered me up, I lost my buzz, and had tp spend more money inside the event just to get the buzz back. bummer. I will never drink it again CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
  3. I thought I asked for this before, but not in the same manner. I agree.. I want to know what is going on with my money. tritchie77@sympatico.ca put me on the list. I too, would want to be on that list. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
  4. problem with this is that they don't have a DZ until after they have paid and such. then once they have paid, they really don't have a choice. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

  6. perhaps it is the dropzone you jump at, the region... different regions seem to favor different gear. . PD, has it's name out there, it's been there for a while, and it is proven. Not to mention that they continually strive to improve their products. now, after saying that.. I only have a PDR, my main is Icarus, so don't think I say that only because I use PD. 7. I saw a tv special on recycling of the flourescent tubes, quite interesting. they do break them, but they do it in a closed machine, crushing the glass, and collecting the mercury. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

  13. just watched the clip. I got a good laugh out of it. Why does everyone hate him for wanting to accomplish the impossible? weather it be for his ego, or to really do the things that people told him he can't.. it would still be doing something that hasn't been done yet. 14. In some states, certain flourescents are now legal to throw away in the regular trash.. Not reccomended, but legal. If it is the longer tubes, (if I remember correctly) the tubes with the silver ends are not allowed to be thrown away, but the ones with green ends, are allowed to be thrown away, because they have a lower mercury level. 15. Thank you. I like the way you stated that. so very true. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
  16. I thought they settled. How is that winning? This is merely USPA saying, "ok, we give in." CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
  17. the savings are not as obvious when they are used in residential homes. I did some retrofits for RICOH where we took out some *can't remember exact wattage , but think it was over 300W High Pressure Sodium *orange color light* and replaced with Flourescent lamps. the wattage was more than twice as low, and when all complete, did produce more illumination on the dock/inside warehosue. The energy savings is more of an 'over time' thing. They are more expensive for the initial cost, but when used constantly, are much cheaper to purchase, run, maintain, and such. the fixture that the CFLs are in makes a huge difference as well. as fore the cfls being more enviromentally safe.. I'm not too sure about that. Each one has mercury in it, and though, some states consider the amount a 'safe' amount, it is still mercury, and when combined with hundreds of them lights in broken, and in the trash.. that is alot of mercury. 18. hmm, try to articulate better.. j/k Wagner sounds much much better on bass trombone, that is for sure! nice video though.. I had thought about bringing my trombone on a dive before i sold it, but figured it would be too hard to handle.. much more surface area than a pocket trumpet. 19. bummer. I agree, CFLs tend to be a little more dull than incandescent lights. The main advantage is the energy savings obtained from using the flourescents.. Lifetime of lamp to watts used, the CFLs are much more energy efficient. .. Perhaps try going to a higher wattage on the lamp, and see if that makes a difference. .. look at the color when you purchase the lamp. .. Or just stick with the Incandescent if you are not worried about rep lacing the bulbs. they are cheaper at the time of purchase at least. Good luck. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
  20. when you buy them, make sure you are getting the right color rendering you want. some CFLs are orange, some are white in color. .. has to do with the kelvins /color rendering and such. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

  22. my favorite... and much more appropriate for speakers corner.... Convinced atheists adhere to no concepts of good and bad, but make them up as they go along. To me, they're no different from machines! A bit like the gun which is capable of cold, mindless, killing - devoid of all consciousness of responsibility. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
