from my understanding, the forum owner is responsible for all contenct posted on their site. They are responsible for slander and such, which is why moderation is indeed a very important thing. so, what your saying, is that, the owner/moderator should sit back, and let the personal attacks/flames happen, and really risk the law, because that is the part that is written in law, not moderating itself. I'm not just pulling this out of my bum, I am going off of life experience of a couple of my high school friends. REally, I don't see a point in your bringing this up, other than to try to stir the pot, or scare the moderators into no longer doing what they are supposed to do. A little boy goes to his dad and asks, 'What is Politics?' Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we will call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense.' So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.' The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.' The little boy replies, 'The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep Shit . how often do you do in air handle check?
shermanator replied to shermanator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am aware that handles coming out is a rare problem, that is not really what i was thinking about whith my original post. I was looking at some pictures whwere the handles were floating out the the side, probably not directly where someone would go to grab in a high speed mal. I found the pictures interesting, And though I am sure that in a high speed mal, i will have no problem finding my handle, even if it is pushed aside from the wind. It is interesting to see how different people feel about this. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720 -
I'm a little confused, are we asuming that she was already on oxygen to begin with? I must have overlooked that part in the article, but I don't feel like reading it again. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

sounds very 'fishy' to me. do the o2 tanks have gauges on them? how do they know they were empty, other than the woman saying she was not getting any? did anyone else confirm they were empty. It really doesn't sound like the lack of O2 is what killed her. It sounds more like a heart condition that finally caught up to her. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

how often do you do in air handle check?
shermanator replied to shermanator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
so tell me, do you feel special? I was asking , to see if anyone does checks in practice. I for one, have never checked in freefall, not sure i would really have time when on a jump, but it is almost alarming how much the soft handle pillows fly out away from where they are 'supposed' to be when in freefall. Not everyone can be a skygod CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720 -
how often do you do in air handle check?
shermanator replied to shermanator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Another thread got me thinking about this, and after seeing one picture, wwent to look at some of my own pictures, which verified the same thing. HERE How often do you check where your handles are, on a dive. We know that muscle memory is essential to performing EPs when the stuff hits the fan, so we practice on the ground, and in the plane. Also, they can move around on us, while flying *especially the pillow handles*. Personally, I don't check the handles enough, when on the dive, which I should. I've checked for position while under canopy, because that is another time i have heard they can move around on me, but never really checked them while in freefal. That other thread, made me realize that I need to be doing this, to get that muscle memory as well, rather than just depending on the 'perfect situation' of handles being where they are supposed to be, in non wind situations. It can also be a good idea to do a 'blind check.' Run your hands down the main web to the handles. hmmm, I think i am just rambling. maybe someone can better word the importance of what I am trying to say? edit: [url http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3130606#3130606]OTHER THREAD[url] CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720 -
sounds like what we refer here as carpool lanes. they are great when traveling with more people, but when there is a lot of traffic, and the carpool lane is fairly empty, it is frustrating, because that extra lane will help ease the traffic. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

would you jump your kid's pack job?
shermanator replied to dropzonejunky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As long as they know what they are doing, I have no problem with it. Heck, the canopies are designed to open, not sure if 32 is your actual jump numbers, but once you've been packing for a while, you'll learn that it really doesn't matter how you throw it in, it will open *as long as the lines are straight*. And you'll be surprised when you find your most sloppy, horrid pack job, end up being the softest, on heading opening you have ever had. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720 -

I'm assuming you are talking about a thread being deleted? I think it was another topical thread that a mod replied to the same question.. They made a very good point, about how they are having to go through every post, and check its content, takes a lot of time. In the beginning , that mod would send pms about why, but it takes that much more time to send it, and it really doesn't make a difference in the poster posting that kind of thing over and over again. It just takes too much time for the mods to pm every time they delete a post. that simple. CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720

when they are pposing a huge danger to innocen people, and cops alike, then it is necessary to stop them. Bumping him with the car was not lethal. *i remember watching that chase live quite a few years ago* CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #720
