  1. Scott, Nice picture bud. But you forgot the first one, so I'm posting it if you don't mind. When I see you, I'll buy you a double cheesburger and some pain pills for your leg. See you in Moab!
  2. I'm leaving my house tomorrow--So I better get healthy soon! Hope to see you there, Scott!
  3. The Salt Lake crew will be there tomorrow. There's going to be a lot of BASE, skydiving, wingsuiting, and paragliding
  4. I met Harry at the end of 1998. He was a great guy and good friend. We're doing a sunset Memorial Jump for him at Skydive Ogden in Utah Sunday, August 23. If you're in Utah, come join us. The old time jumpers are going to be there. We'll miss you, Harry!
  5. What's your schedule? We should go wind surfing. I kayaked from 3300 South to the Great Salt Lake Marina. You can track it on Google Earth. It took about 10 hours, but it was awesome. If you're up to it, we should finish the first half from Utah Lake to 3300 South. Give me a call. Faris
  6. Here are pictures of Blake Meibos, S&TA at Skydive Utah, doing his first flight a couple of months ago. He's eager to do more flights this weekend. Great job, and congratulations!

  8. Who did demos for July 4th 2009? It would be great to see some pictures! Faris
  9. I agree, the Birdman newsletter posts written by BMI/E's claiming "this never could have happened under our program" in fact, already had. Race was trained by a BMI. It was cheap marketing at best.*** I'd like to clear something up right here. There were three wingsuit instructors in Utah at the time of Race's death. Neil, who is a Phoenix Fly instructor; Baxter, who is a Phoenix Fly instructor and examiner and a BMI; and me (I am a Phoenix Fly instructor and BMI) . Not one of us took Race on his first flight course. Race was not trained by a certifed wingsuit instructor. Race learned to fly a wingsuit from his friends, who were not wingsuit instructors. The accident happened in Moab--not one of us was at that Boogie. Shame on you to use his death like this. For the rest of you, have a great 4th of July. Faris
  10. Baxter, I'm so sorry to hear what happened. You never know when things go down. Since we are getting together this weekend, we should do a memorial jump, BASE, wingsuit or something. Let me know what you think. Faris. Fly Free Rob! Hang there Kathy!
  11. Bad weather in Utah lately for skydiving, but good for other sports. Here's a paraglide and kayak pic!
  12. Lol! I still think Moab is best--it's only three hours from my house and $50 for gas and has rocks high enough for wingsuits. I'm sure Baxter agrees with me :)
  13. I'm originally not from the U.S. and I've seen a lot of places--You're right; Moab is one of most unique places in the world. The first month the dropzone openend, we did this jump over the canyon. These pictures are from a video camera, so they are not the best quality. But they're kind of cool.
  14. Moab is the best place in the world!
  15. More Pics. They are big pictures, so I have to resize them to fit here.
  16. It's interesting how people fly. Josh spent a lot of time in Norway doing wingsuit base. I wonder if he learned it from the Norwegians :)
  17. Here's a skydive and paraglide tandem I did and some other pictures I took. I'm enjoying this thread--keep it going! Thanks, everyone!
  18. Hi Scott, I have a Rebel XTi camera and I'm using the lense that came with it. My pictures seem to be a little bright sometimes. It doesn't look bad, but I feel like I have to take out some of the brightness. I wanted to ask you how you get such solid colors in your pictures? I'm thinking about going to Switzlerand in August.
